We were given the San Juan Suite. What WONDERFUL accommodations! The suite has two full bedrooms and a small room with a double bed on the renovated side porch (I chose that room, because of all the windows), two bathrooms, a full kitchen, living room, dining room, and deck with a private jacuzzi! WOW!! I felt so pampered! Every morning, Gene brought breakfast to us in bento boxes, and everything was so yummy! My favorite was the poached egg and Canadian bacon with tomato and baby asparagus on thick toast, accompanied by granola and peaches with yogurt. We had ordered milk and orange juice for breakfast, and when we arrived found that the refrigerator was stocked with a fresh quart of each for us. There was also ground coffee for the coffeemaker and a fine selection of teas. We dined well! The furnishings in the suite are elegant and retro without being dated, while the kitchen and bathrooms are completely modern. Even with four people, we felt that there was ample space for us all. Our beds were all quite comfortable, and the temperature controls could be adjusted room by room so that each of us were guaranteed a pleasant sleep. The grounds around our lodging were gorgeously landscaped and beautifully maintained. It was wonderful to wake up in the midst of loveliness every morning! The Inn & Suites are just a few blocks from downtown Friday Harbor and the ferry landing, so we were able to easily walk to all the local attractions, shopping, and restaurants. That was a hidden benefit because parking downtown was often scarce. To say our stay in the San Juan Suite was idyllic would be an understatement. It made a wonderful vacation even more wonderful by giving us a place to return to and relax in comfort and elegance. I am DEFINITELY returning to the Tucker House Inn & Harrison House Suites! There's a full kitchen, very well equipped, and a comfortable living room. It's all very cozy and home-like in a historic house. We could walk downtown within minutes. Yvette and Derek are the best hosts and their home is so relaxing. Once you go once, you'll be bookmarking this place to keep returning! The grounds are beautiful, and they keep the rooms so well maintained. Even if there are other guests while you are there, you can interact as much or little with them as you want - however, this is the perfect place to meet new people! Derek and Yvette are all about community and love hearing about your story. Depending on your time of visit, I highly suggest to do a fire pit/s'mores and hang out in the yard! You also might be lucky enough that they'll cook up some fresh oysters or crab for you! I haven't done one of Yvette's painting workshops during our stay yet, but they look so fun!

The spaces are clean and comforting, the home is beautifully decorated with an amazing outdoor area and view of the water, and the hosts make a filling and delicious breakfast. Yvette and Derek really know how to foster a sense of community and safety in their home, and we loved getting to know them! We'd never stayed at an Airbnb like this before, and we would be thrilled to book here again. Little bonus in the photos: We didn't get a chance to make use of Yvette's art studio space, but we were inspired and did a bit of painting ourselves when we got home. We stayed in this B&B an admittedly long time ago (1999) but I've stopped in since then and things…read morehaven't changed, and I have friends that have been going there every summer since 1989 who still rave about it too. This B&B offers four different rooms, one with a private bath and three that share two bathrooms. All of the rooms are sparkling clean, extremely comfortable, and beautifully sunlit (and have lovely views). The 1895 farmhouse is a stunner, and you might recognize its photo because it was on the cover of a seed catalog in 2001! The real highlight of this place is the breakfast. There's an onsite chicken coop, and the eggs will be fresh, as in this-morning fresh, and oh my, they are FANTASTIC. And Christian is also a talented baker of buttermilk biscuits. They are just a few miles away from the island's farmers' market, so fresh fruit and vegetables either come from their garden or a neighbor's, essentially. No children, no smoking, no pets... it's a quiet nirvana. And it's cheap in the winter, all rooms $99/night, and as their website says, free hugs from the innkeepers too. :-) They are delightful, trusting and gentle people, and you will feel refreshed if you accept their hospitality.

It is located on Cattle Point very near to several great beaches and American Camp, part of San Juan National Historic Park. By car it's about 10 minutes from Friday Harbor. Its hosts are Christian and Lea Andrade, two of the friendliest and kindest people we know. The inn is located in a historic farmhouse and the rooms are all well-maintained and comfortable. Our favorite is the Garden Room located off the kitchen. The breakfasts consist of a smoothie, a fruit dish, a baked egg dish and baked goods like biscuits or muffins. Everything is always delicious. Although there is a lot to do on San Juan Island, we always take time to relax at the inn and enjoy the peace and quiet on their pretty deck or on the grounds with beautiful flower gardens, yard art, and a chicken coop populated by lots of hens. We also enjoy visiting with the hosts, who are very knowledgeable about the island. Whether it's helping you plan a trek to the beach, identifying a particular type of owl you saw perched on a street sign, or inviting you to listen to them as they practice with their wonderful marimba band, the Andrades are at the top of our list for B&B hosts. We can't wait for our next visit!

My friends also had difficulty sleeping due to the bed quality and the cold from the thin walls as well. Room quality: I got upgraded from the Lighthouse room to the Oar House which had two beds to choose from. It also was missing the main blind facing the outdoor seating area. Even with the thermostat at 70, I found myself shivering in the middle of the night due to thin walls (I could hear the cars zoom by from the back of the house in the room and the windows were single paned). The bathroom wasn't connected to the room, rather it was across the hall that required stepping outside into the cold, though still under a roof. There are no channels to watch, only DVDs which I counted there were 36 to choose from. There was no VCR to use but a bunch of videos to choose from. WiFi is not accessible in the Oar House so I was told to go to the room where breakfast would be served to get any internet, which was across the backyard into the other side of the house. Food: it is all frozen food that you heat yourself. There were Schwann's omelets, pancakes, sausages, frozen Greek yogurt and eggo waffles. The cereals available were mini wheats, raisin bran, corn flakes and others. There is a keurig that only had coffee available. Overall the view is beautiful and the decor is very nautical and unique with pictures of Oggie during his fisherman days also it is 5 min driving to the ferry. But it isn't worth the $135 a night due to poor sleep quality from thin walls and frozen food. At $50 it is definitely worth it just for the view itself but the location isn't in walking distance of anything except for the ferry.

We called Auggie at the very last minute, around 8:30, and he was more than hospitable. He turned the heat on for us ahead of time so it was nice and warm when we got there, and Jason gave us a thorough tour of the property upon arrival. In the morning we ended our trip with tips and a hug from Auggie- "once you stay here, you're family". Such a highlight of our trip, and we will be sure to be back if we are ever lucky to make it to this beautiful place again.

And the fact that they have threealpacas, two goats, sheep and several other animals that will greet you when you approach their grounds, this was enough to make my friend long to stay longer than our only night there. The bed has the softest sheets I've ever slept in in all my life! If you can stay in the room with the jet tub you'll feel you are in a five-star resort especially if you make a cup of coffee and sit outside on the balcony of that bedroom.Each room has a high tech digital locking system so you'll feel safe. Breakfast was beyond delicious with an egg dish made with eggs from their own chickens and Teresa is a whiz with her recipes and the food was beyond delicious! Sitting and having breakfast conversation with Michael and Teresa was absolutely charming, entertaining, and informative as we learned a lot about the history of this town and the surrounding area's. They have learned a lot about the town and it's history and they are happy to share their knowledge to make your stay more pleasant and are more than willing to share their local knowledge with their guests. I expect to plan another visit to this adorable and luxurious (feeling) bed and breakfast. I am a bit of a self-confessed hotel snob and I would recommend this place in a hot minute to anybody who wants quality and comfort at an affordable price!

I came here with my boyfriend for a little anniversary getaway and we stayed at the Goldfinch room. Yes, all the rooms are named after different birds. The place is quite cozy. At night, there were free beverages and snacks we could take and there also was a tv with a streaming service to end your night with. In the morning, we woke for the breakfast and were served by Amanda who takes deep care of the bed and breakfast. She also has her own little pottery studio next door. She made us some eggs, bacon, pancakes, served with muffins and we got to choose our drink. It felt very cozy to wake up to this. Food is pretty standard when it comes to breakfast, but I liked that it was made upon arrival into the space. After breakfast, we hopped onto the hot tub, it wasn't too hot but more like warm. This could be due to it being freezing cold outside. The lookout was absolutely gorgeous though, very serene I might add. I would consider staying at Otters Pond again if I were to come back to the area, maybe in a different season?

We couldn't find lodging closer to the North Cascades NP entrance and were pretty bummed we'd be driving an hour each day to get there for hikes that already required us to be up at like 6am... but I'm telling you... it's worth it. This hotel was so clean and comfortable. I felt like we should've been paying more for how big the room was, how well-equipped (full size fridge, awesome when you are roadtripping with a cooler filled with food), a kitchenette, laundry facilities on-site, comfy beds, awesome continental breakfast in the morning, and honestly, just intentional thoughtful touches all around the whole hotel that kept making me comment to my husband, "this is SO nice." I should mention, we didn't interact with staff much because we were at the park all day... but staff who are in charge of getting breakfast out in the morning are hustling! We really appreciated that they had everything out at 7am sharp since there were a few times we were able to grab food before leaving for the NP. Thank you! We hiked 14 miles yesterday and would've been eating granola at the trailhead but got a hot delicious breakfast thanks to you!

We asked if we could have another person sleep on the floor, she said no due to the fire code which was fine. One of the girls wasn't interested in staying anyways, so we asked to book the room. She then proceeded to call me a liar and claiming that I thought she was an idiot. I said that she was being very rude so she hung up on me. Honestly the most disrespectful person I have ever talked to in customer service and I will steer everyone I know and everyone who asks away from this hotel. This is NOT a hotel you will want to stay at.
