Our stay in the Garden Room was amazing. The home is beautiful and there are lots of spaces in the garden to sit and relax including a covered gazebo with a fire pit. Bonus, the room we had opened up to a wrap around deck where we drank wine and watched the sunset. Kim was a wonderful host and breakfast was delicious. We arrived to fresh cookies and spa water and she even accommodated my food allergy. We'll be back!

This is a beautiful bed & breakfast and Kim is a gracious host and great cook. I spent the night in the garden suite and enjoyed the view and balcony immensely. Each room has its own bathroom! The bed was comfortable. the whole b&b is clean, comfortable and charming. We will definitely be returning.

On a positive note, the inn is conveniently located and clean. Areas that could use improvement are…read more1) our King room was cramped and the bathroom was tiny. The bed was pretty soft 2) the breakfast buffet was adequate but the hot breakfast serving was scanty. We were served one piece of bacon broken in half ( I assume to make it look like you're getting 2 pieces) and half a piece of toast with what looked like one scrambled egg. I understand not wanting to waste food but the portion felt inadequate. I ordered the plate just so I could give my husband my portions since I don't eat breakfast. 3) The innkeeper is a bit brusque. If I were going back to La Conner, I would look for a different place to stay.

Located just a few blocks up from the Swinomish Channel, this low-key haven is perfect for travelers seeking homey warmth in the splendid waterfront town of La Conner. This review would be unreadably long if I listed every wonderful amenity, so let's focus on the absolute highlight: breakfast. It is quite popular, so I highly recommend showing up early. I was greeted by a lovely hostess, Willow, who walked me through the morning's featured dish--a delicious breakfast burrito. She happily accommodated my preferred diet by preparing mine without bacon. Alongside a strong, flavorful brew from the coffee urn, they offered sweet, juicy watermelon wedges, melon cubes, and a highly satisfying selection of sweet breads. While the addition of a few savory breads like sourdough or whole wheat would have been nice, the omission was practically unnoticed among such a beautiful array of delicacies. In conclusion: go for the cozy atmosphere, but absolutely stay for the breakfast!

Desk staff was friendly and helpful. Continental breakfast was adequate, though the only hot food was oatmeal. Cookies out all day in the office was a nice touch. TV with local channels was wonderful. Bed was very comfortable. But... Little refrigerator was very noisy and woke us up more than once when trying to sleep. There was a step up to the bathroom which sometimes became annoying...especially for us "old people" in our 70's. We don't need accommodation, but a level floor throughout would be nice. There were times when the guests above us sounded like they were going to fall through the ceiling (one of the downsides to staying on the first floor, I guess). Bathroom had a step-in tub and shower, while a level shower only would be preferred. And most important to mention, $300+ dollars a night was unbelievably expensive for this quaint, but rather dated inn; that's the most we've ever paid for lodging...even in some big cities! And I saw lower prices for rooms in the same inn after we returned home. We enjoyed our visit to LaConner, but sadly, we'll never return.

The staff seem happy and friendly. We arrived at 12:50pm and they didn't have our room ready at that time, but had it ready by 1:10pm. I felt like breakfast was above average for a hotel continental breakfast- they had nice fresh berries and fruit. Would return for our next visit to La Conner.

The hotel is definitely old. They use big brass keys instead of key cards, but some of the old features add to the charm. We had a corner room with a great balcony and a view. The room was spacious and lovely! Comfy bed, amazing view. Free breakfast was pretty standard- we did love that they had gluten free bread and fresh berries and they were could enjoy them from our room. The staff was friendly and helpful! They offer wine service at the counter, but not from 6-9pm. We thought this was kind of funny, but maybe they're encouraging you to go to the wine shop down the street during that time. The hotel has a lovely outdoor area right on the water that we enjoyed. This was a great place to stay, but very pricey. Two nights cost almost $700 but had the same comfort and amenities as a hotel that would cost about half that.

And the fact that they have threealpacas, two goats, sheep and several other animals that will greet you when you approach their grounds, this was enough to make my friend long to stay longer than our only night there. The bed has the softest sheets I've ever slept in in all my life! If you can stay in the room with the jet tub you'll feel you are in a five-star resort especially if you make a cup of coffee and sit outside on the balcony of that bedroom. Each room has a high tech digital locking system so you'll feel safe. Breakfast was beyond delicious with an egg dish made with eggs from their own chickens and Teresa is a whiz with her recipes and the food was beyond delicious! Sitting and having breakfast conversation with Michael and Teresa was absolutely charming, entertaining, and informative as we learned a lot about the history of this town and the surrounding area's. They have learned a lot about the town and it's history and they are happy to share their knowledge to make your stay more pleasant and are more than willing to share their local knowledge with their guests. I expect to plan another visit to this adorable and luxurious (feeling) bed and breakfast. I am a bit of a self-confessed hotel snob and I would recommend this place in a hot minute to anybody who wants quality and comfort at an affordable price!
