Terrible service. The worker yelled at me for requesting a salad and called me fat. 1 star, never coming back here again.

Fine dining sets a high bar, and this venue does not disappoint from start to finish. Entry is…read moreelegant without pretension - crisp white table cloths and soft warm lighting indoors and out, with a generous patio facing Burnett Park. Apéritivo Hour should draw locals running every day in the bar & patio including drinks & snacks. I wish I had come with a larger appetite because the menu offers a balanced selection of antipasti (starters), zuppa (soup), insalata (salad), primi (housemade pasta), secondi (protein dishes), and contorni (sides). My gracious server recommended a Rosemary Foccaccia (saved for next time) and Wild Arugula salad that was garden fresh in a Texas pecan vinaigrette with snappy pecorino and the most incredible crisped chicken skin as an alternative to traditional breadcrumbs. It was light and fresh with depth and richness, a perfect starter. From cool to warm - a Kabocha Squash Soup made with honeycrisp apple cider topped a tart currant chutney and crunchy roasted pine nuts. Texture was velvety smooth, delicately sweet, perfectly balanced, thoughtfully light to precede later dishes. Dessert a must, ask for house recommendation which rotates. My lovely server remained present and attentive although I was her only patron on the patio - a sign of superb service! I'm looking forward to seconds and main on my next trip.

While the courses were excellent and executed masterfully, I personally love hints of extra seasoning. However, the appetizers were a complete dream. 3. The service was familial yet professional, which is nice to experience at a high end restaurant. It makes me want to return again. While our server was very knowledgeable, friendly, and efficient -- and initially we were not in a rush for the evening -- I did mention having an uber scheduled for pick up 2 hours after our reservation time and they were a bit loquacious. I guess our main courses were not placed until about 15mins before our uber pick up so we essential took two bites of our dinner and rushed out. By this time the restaurant was packed. I paid cash and conveniently, their register didn't have enough bills to give an exact amount back so I paid an enormous tip. I didn't find that classy, but otherwise it was a great experience!

I really loved the bread & ricotta. Something always gets me about bread and cheese. The calamari was pretty good, I liked the addition of the olives, but overall it was a typical calamari dish. We also ordered the little gem salad to share. It was perfect because there were 4 gems for each of us. This was also decent. Nothing particularly memorable about this dish, but still good. We each ordered our own entree. Our friends ordered the vodka rigatoni and the lasagna bolognese. Hubby ordered the tagliatelle bolognese and I had the cacio e Pepe and added sausage. Pastas were cooked to the perfect al dente. There was so much meat in all our entrees. We each had a bite of each other's meals. I couldn't decide which one I liked best. They were all so very good and they all tasted different. I really love having foodie friends. And then we ended with dessert/after dinner drinks. Our friends got an affogato and an espresso martini. Hubby and I shared the pistachio cake. That pistachio cake is to die for. I don't want to over exaggerate because what if you decide to get it and you hate it? Well, I loved it. It wasn't too sweet and the salt flakes on top was perfection! It was so good with the affogato. 100% would get again.

As a resident on Magnolia, we're fortunate to have many great restaurants to support. Cane Rosso…read morewas no exception. My parents were in town and we decided to come here for my birthday in fact. Usually, we would have walked. Though it was pretty cold outside. There's a small lot that's right at the entrance (or back) of the restaurant. However, in the likely case that it's full, there's a spacious lot that's nearby next to the parking garage as well. Inside, we were quickly seated. Our waitress brought out our drinks promptly. We knew what we wanted so we ordered then and there as well. For appetizers, we got the Artichokes Classique. I'm not the biggest artichokes fan. I may or may not have been trying to convince my parents that I have a sophisticated adult palate and this looked like it would do the job. The artichokes were lightly fried with a crispy exterior. They retained their earthy, taste. Paired well with the slightly spicy, garlicky calabrian chile aioli. My dad got the Chicken Parm Sandwich. It was nice and meaty - solid chicken parm! What really stood out, in my opinion, was the side caesar salad. They used whole gem lettuce as opposed to romaine which I felt offered a better texture, presentation, and helped with the dressing distribution. My mom, or rather all of us, got the Chorizo y Miele which was their pizza of the month for Feburary. Without a doubt, it was one of the many highlights of this night. It's a sweet-spicy pizza with rich, salty sausage accented by an appropriate amount of habanero honey drizzle. I had never had sweety drop peppers but it was such a nice addition in terms of presentation for the month of February, texture with the slight cruchiness of the whole pepper, and flavor with the slight spice. Last but not least, the texture of the pizza was phenomenal. The crust had that nice smokey flavor - perfect base for all of the ingredients on top. Finally, I got the Truffle Carbonara. Rich. Decadent. Mindblowing. This is easily one of the top three carbonaras that I have ever had. It was so delicious. The truffle flavor is not overwhelming at all - just the right amount. Lastly, I want to comment on the stellar service. We were checked on frequently by our wonderful waitress. Additionally, since it was my birthday, we had brought a cake from a bakery to the restaurant. Not only did she offer to store the cake in the fridge, but she made sure that we had enough plates, silverware, and even a lighter for the candles. Truly made sure that the evening was special! Overall, I'm looking forward to one day coming back to Cane Rosso. From trying the unique monthly pasta and pizza specials to the wonderful service, you can't go wrong with a meal here!

We had an amazing waitress in Annamarie who recommended the best drinks and wine pairings with our pasta we made. It was a great setup to be as intimate or socialize as much as you'd like. They taught us how to make pasta and gnocchi from scratch and also sent us home with our dough and some sauce and noodles to cook later ourselves I highly recommend the calamari and brussel sprouts. The calamari was fried perfectly very light but still had the crunch and the crispy sprouts were crispy and had a phenomenal taste with the Parmesan cheese

He got our drinks, then a basket of warm bread with a plate of balsamic vinegar and olive oil. Yummy! There were three of us tonight. We ordered as follows: - Capellini with Seafood - Branzino with Garlic Spinach (shared) - Il Modo Chopped Salad Wow - the food was amazing tonight. My wife and I shared the Branzino. It was a huge portion and real tasty. My son had the Capellini with Seafood and loved it. I tried it as well. Loved the spicy sauce. Then we ordered dessert. Here's what we shared: - Stratacelli Gelato - Tiramisu - Cannolis Wow - they were all good. I liked the Tiramisu the best. Note: they keep it well air conditioned here. Consider a light jacket or sport coat. We will return to Il Modo. Thank you kitchen team and Patrick for another great dinner.

Wait staff dressed uniformly. Dining area divided into sections, so we sat in a cozy intimate "corner" with a few other tables. Wait staff: Clean, neat and friendly. Our server was a WONDERFUL young lady named Jasmine. Very attentive, almost "intuitive", but not too intrusive. Perfect service. Food: Bread was nice, in house made garlic rolls with a light pretzel salt on top. I had Chicken Parmigiana, on a bed of thin spaghetti. My wife had the Lasagna. Portions were very generous. (I'm Cajun, so a "portion" to me usually feeds two. I was full and happy.) Chicken was fresh, hot, perfect breading. Marinara sauce tasted like homemade sauce, with a perfect amount and blend of Italian herbs. I had my wife's leftover lasagna for supper. (She loved it, but there was a lot.) It was every bit as good as my entree. I'm guessing that was ground veal. Wonderful! A gentleman I assume was the owner/manager came around to personally make sure the dining experience was good. Price was well in line with other sit down restaurants. (About $37 for both, and got 3 meals out of it.) Overall experience: I'd give it a 9.5, only because I don't give 10's. (Unless you feed me by hand, and wash and wax my car. HA!) We will *DEFINITELY* go back. (OK. I admit. That means I'll be harassing my wife to go back sometime this week. But, it really was GREAT!

The best part: I had a specific craving that wasn't on the menu (it likes "build your own pasta" from Romano's Macaroni Grill restaurant that is Grilled Shrimp on angel hair with veggie) and they cooked it exactly how I asked. The dish came out perfect and even better with high quality shrimp and veggies. You can tell the kitchen really cares. Cozy atmosphere, homemade taste, and service that makes you want to stay all evening. Highly recommend!

The restaurant is small and cozy. Twice we could not get in without a long wait. Other times we made reservations and did not need them. Best to be safe and call. Bar seating is also available if you want to sit there. The food was very good, we tried two of the dishes. They are Chicken Sunrise, and Veal Genovese, both come with pasta and the sauce on the meals are wonderful. Since we like these two dishes so much it is hard to try anything else. Bread rolls also come with the meal. Salad is extra, I had the Caesar salad. Started with an appetizer Escargot Provencal.... oh man this is good. Dip your bread into the garlic butter yum. The plates have plenty of food you will be full or take-home leftover. Nice glass of wine is good with the meal. Service was good once they were terribly busy, so the food came out slowly. But I understand the staff were working very hard. They only had two wait staff when we were there. Great place to go for a date or special night. Or anytime casual inside.
