Happy hour special is on the lounge side only: half off sides & $3 lamb chops (must order 4 or 6) NO DRINK SPECIALS. I really enjoyed the music being played on the lounge side, at a comfortable volume so you could still hold a conversation. Initially ordered the oxtail eggrolls & lobster Mac n cheese. Waitress came back and said the eggrolls were unavailable so i switched to the oysters. My friends enjoyed their wings and lamb chops. Oysters came out salty and burnt. I was able to send them back no issue. Lobster Mac n cheese was also a tad salty, but edible. Nice chunks of lobster throughout. The $20 Wokesha drink I had was okay. Overall, I'd probably come back for the vibes and to try other dishes.

Ww had a table for 5 and all of our orders were handled in a timely manner and the food was delicious! I started out with a cotton candy martini! It was so delicious. If you are into fruity drinks this would be a perfect one for you. I had the jerk oxtails and I MUST go back for more. They were tender, juice, flavorful, and just all around . I am definitely going back for more. The bed of beans and rice that it came with was just as filling and delicious. Now if you are a lover of R&B music, this is also the place for you. The noise level is pretty up there, but I love music so it didn't bother me one bit. They also have another side attached that has music, hookah, food, and vibes. We went over for a moment after we had dinner and enjoyed it. I think you have to order at the bar because no one ever came to take our order. Overall, I had a great time. The service was great, the music was good, and the food was even better! Love it and I will definitely be back for a drink and those oxtails! Yummy!

The biggest issue was the parking and entry process. It felt very unorganized. It didn't seem like the VIP parking signs were set up before the crowd started arriving, so people parked wherever they could, only to be told they had to move. Then, instead of letting everyone wait under the covered walkway, they kept directing people back into lines in the hot sun. Between the purse checks, security pat-downs, and confusion about where everyone was supposed to be, getting inside took longer than it should have. It honestly felt like the staff hadn't had a pre-event meeting and were trying to figure everything out as they went. They really need to improve that process because it put a damper on the start of the evening. Thankfully, once we made it inside, everything got much better. Our waitress, Indiana, was attentive and did a great job, especially considering how busy it was. We ordered our drinks, appetizers, and entrées all at once to stay ahead of the crowd, and the food came out fresh and delicious. I ordered the catfish plate with fries and collard greens, and everything was cooked perfectly. I also tried the cobbler egg rolls for the first time, and wow...they were absolutely amazing! They were so good I had two and had to stop myself from ordering more. I'll definitely be getting those again. Despite the rough start, the food and service made up for it. This place consistently delivers great food, and even with a packed house, the table service remained solid. If they can get the parking and entry process organized, the overall experience would be excellent.

The bar tender greeted us warmly, and told us we could sit anywhere we liked, so we chose a cozy, comfy corner booth. Hubby loved his Sweet Tea, "just right". Food came out fresh, fast and perfectly served. We shared the crispy authentic Calamari over a bed of Arugula with Remoulade, Sweet Asian and Marinara for dipping. When we finished that, we poured the Asian dressing over the plentiful Arugula salad. We shared a Trio of tender, juicy Certified Angus sliders. Wow! Hubby said that's the best dang slider I ever ate! I agree! The shoestring fries were perfectly fried and seasoned. Love that you can get up to six sliders. Our server was attentive and made us feel welcome and cared for from beginning to end and she gave us fans before we walked back out into the heat! This is the place. It's always packed and the individuals that come here eating are always dressed up. This is not a problem but it's not a night club. It's a well organized eatery that sponsors the local individuals that play music. They play for the community of Memphis! Now they have food and a full bar. Parking is available on the street or blocks away . It's first come and first serve . We loved the concept of allowing people to play the blues for the community. They have a lot of special needs that are met and charity drives for donations from the public when they perform here. Whenever you're in the area make sure and check it out. However, the waffles were tough and the chicken didn't have much of a taste. Other tables were sending the lamb chops back to the kitchen but I'm not sure why. Everyone at my table who ordered the shrimp and grits loved them and the catfish that was on top. Vibe: 10/10 The Soul 7 band was on point! The bartender played the tambourine. Also, there is a big waiting area because it's attached to a hotel. Customer Service: 2/10 We had a party of 12 and our server advised that she was over whelmed and we didn't place our orders until 30ish minutes of sitting and it took over an hour to get the food or a refill. The hostess (Andrea) assisted us with refills and she had a positive attitude. Large parties need more than 1 server. Cleanliness/Decor: 10/10 The restaurant was on point and restroom was fancy! The decor was cute and there were sanitary napkins of different kinds available for free! The patio is a nice area but it needs a fan. The inside is small. So, get there early for your seat. Location: 8/10 It's in the heart of downtown attached to a hotel on the corner directly across the street from the RedBirds Stadium (AutoZone Park). Parking: 1/10 No parking area. There is a parking area attached. However, it's only open when there are baseball games or other events at the stadium. The cost is $20. We were able to find parking on the street for $6 due to it being mid-day with no traffic.

The days where restaurants were grateful to have you as patron & treated you that way to earn your continued patronage, seem to be part of the good ole days gone by. That is not the case with The Skybox Grill. I went once on a weekday & once on a hopping Friday night. Both times I left full & happy. If you're into that "Cheers" feeling, this is your place. The staff is so welcoming & kind. You feel good being there with the lively atmosphere & great people all around & the delicious food puts it a step above the rest. On the weekday lunch visit, I saw moms & kids, families, business men/women, folks at the bar glued to the game & those sitting by theirselves with their newspaper as their companion. All appeared to be welcome & content. The prices are comparable with others, but the quality & consistency of their food is much better. The portions are large enough to share or take home leftovers for another meal. The fresh made food is so yummy & getting fresh, quality food for the same as you'd spend at a fast food joint these days, makes it the perfect spot to have a great meal or grab to go that's a cut above the rest. Often, they host fundraising events in support of the local communities or have fun bands & always there is more than 15 tvs with all the sports going. Somehow, they're able to have everything in one, that works so completely cohesively. It's the perfect go to for brunch, lunch, dinner or a lively date night out. Wether you're the whole family full of kids, a lady lunching with friends, a guy grabbing a quick lunch, a couple on a date night or a whole group of friends meeting up for a night out, this place is perfect. Super safe and just minutes outside of Memphis, it's not only a gem for the Collierville folks, but easily accessible for the whole Memphis area. Perfect for taking out of town guest for a relaxed & casual dining experience too. Highly recommend. You will not be disappointed!
