(12/6/2016) Got in late from a flight and needed some dinner without straying far, opted for the hotel dining room (I know, cop out). The restaurant, The Bistro (which is what Courtyard Marriott names all of it's restaurants BTW) was sparsely populated, even the bar. There was one bartender and one waitperson on staff that night. Service was friendly and efficient. Got the Veal Hamburger with Edam on Brioche. Burger was coarsely chopped veal, cooked rare (wasn't asked, that's just how it came). Good thing I'm OK with that, but otherwise was pretty bloody. Came on a lovely, light, sweet, shiny brioche bun. On the side was a pile of deep-fried potato wedges, golden and crispy, tender and fluffy on the inside. Iberico Pork Loin were two perfectly cooked half-inch thick center cut chops with a pungent, savory, thin roquefort sauce on the side (deliciously salty, an umami punch). We cut all of that meat with the light and crisp Mahou Five Stars (Madrid-brewed lager). Not a bad option for hotel dining, but as expected (like most hotel restaurants), rather pricey for that convenience. read more
