Street XO was one of the standout meals during our trip to Madrid. We arrived at around 10 pm without a reservation and were able to grab a seat at the bar while waiting for an opening. I was willing to be seated on the patio to shorten our wait but I am glad counter space opened up for us; eating at the counter was such a vibe, and I wouldn't want to miss that part of the experience. While waiting at the bar we ordered cocktails; both were a pleasure to watch being made, and these bartenders practice sorcery! Chipping from a large block of ice, smoking things, they put on a good show! I told the hostess I was a pescatarian when we arrived and she noted on both the drink and food menus which items would be off limits for me because they contained meat. She also noted which items could be tweaked to become pescatarian or vegetarian. I really appreciated this attention from the hostess and was extremely impressed by it. Once seated at the counter in the dining room we enjoyed watching the chefs cook, they have a well-oiled machine in the kitchen. For food we shared: Crabs & Chips (24 Euro), Sandwich Club Vegetariano (14 Euro), Croquetas (de la pedroche, 19 Euro), Une Vaca Viajando de Tailandia a Mexico (24 Euro), and Cheesecake Helado (11 Euro). Crab and Chips was tasty and a fun dish, the Club sandwich was skippable, and the croquetas were good, but I felt the creaminess of the croquetas' filling overpowered the raw tuna on top. The absolute show stealer for me was the "cheesecake" dessert. Labeled a cheesecake on the menu, it seemed more like an ice cream sundae to me, and I mean this in the best possible way. If you like sweet and salty, this is the dish for you, the cheese cake ice cream is topped with caramel popcorn, micro basil, and dollops of guava sauce... it was heaven on a plate. The cheesecake was my favorite dish, followed by the Crab & Chips. My fella really enjoyed the Beef Check dish. Our bill came to 140 Euros and we left extremely full and happy. Not only was the service at Street XO great, but the vibes were too. We were seated next to a local couple that were so nice to chat with and they had tried everything on the menu already, so we got some pointers from them on what to order.

We walked in and checked in with the girl which took down our name, number, allergies, etc and waited a long time to be seated yet everyone that came in after us got seated right away (wasn't a reservation issue but not even sure why the delay). Finally got seated at a giant bar (no tables). It was around 2pm and this place was like a disco -- I guess some folks love that aspect ... trance type music playing loud. Food was very eclectic, tasty actually but just a bit odd to us all the way around. Overpriced but I guess presentation is nice so you pay a premium for that and music. We were extremely underwhelmed to say the least... we had to go for a quick ham sandwich after we left as we were still hungry after $70 appetizers and 2 drinks. We just weren't the target audience , I suppose. Good luck

If I could give this a 3.5 I would. Don't get me wrong the food was probably one of the best meals we had in Madrid in still thinking about the corn and the pork belly dish but here's 3 things that annoyed me: The music levels are insanely loud I get it's the vibe but if it got turned down maybe a notch it would be great Two: they charged us for what we that we didn't ask for they just filled the empty cups on the table as they came to take our order and talk to us about the menu 2.50 euro per water Three: we ordered the beef dish shown in my pics but we did not add the truffle ourselves. We just wanted the dish that cost 19 euro but when I saw the receipt there was an additional 15 euro added to ur bill for the "truffle" So that was pretty annoying other wise the food was excellent

Bad Food Poisoning!!! We went on 10/2 and the (3) of us in our party got sick from the food. (2) of us got food poisoning and (1) of us got really bad indigestion. Now looking back this place lacks hygiene. The workers wiped their hands on their apron after touching things that weren't food. I didn't see them wash their hands. At first we were blown away by the venue, lights, music, cocktails, and food presentation! However, the day after has been horrible. Please please train your cooks on proper hygiene and handling of the food. We are visiting Madrid from the USA and this place came highly recommended, so we were excited. It was a disappointment. I added photos - again, the presentation was great, we were excited as we are foodies! But the food poisoning that came the next day, has been very bad. Do NOT RECOMMEND.

What a fun and unique experience! Definitely come around 7:30pm and put your name on the wait list for the night- they don't take reservations in advance. You can get a spot at the bar while you wait for the rest of the restaurant to open. The Blood XO comes in a fun anatomical heart cup and the Dinosaur egg (super sweet as we were warned by our waitress) came in a cute cracked egg cup with dry ice. Someone sitting next to us also took a video haha The food was a mix of lots of fun flavors that worked well. We tried the dumplings pekines, sashimi, lasagna Koreana, tako de pulpo, and pork belly which were all delicious. The lasagna was actually our least favorite even though it was one that came highly reviewed by many others. Overall, this was a fun experience and I loved the vibe of the restaurant.

Foodie PARADISE!!! I heard so many great things about this place and decided to give it a try while in Madrid and it didn't disappoint. This place is straight MAGIC and INCREDIBLE. I love the Spanish-asian fusion dishes I had and all I can say is this place is immersive, amazing, out of this world and def worth the time. Amazing service, great ambiance and able all AMAZING food. 10/10

What an incredible restaurant! We heard of this restaurant as we were preparing for our Madrid trip and it absolutely lived up to the hype. We went on a Friday night and got there shortly after they opened at 7:30 pm and were quickly seated in their waiting area where we order drinks. My fiance got the famous dinosaur egg and I got the XO Sangre and both were delicious and came in fun cups. We were soon taken into the dining area which looked and felt like an outdoor market with bright signs, lots of noise (fun music and chefs yelling all the orders to each other), and high top bar seating around the kitchen. Every dish was delicious in its own way, and while I normally eat a more vegetarian diet with chicken and shrimp, I was blown away with the salmon dishes and practically everything we got. I don't remember the names unfortunately, but the menu seems to change frequently anyway. The servers tell you how to eat the food and while it can be a little hard to hear them, I wouldn't have it any other way. I can say this is by far the best restaurant we've ever been to and we will certainly return next time we're in Madrid.

Second time to visit Street XO and it was as excellent as we remembered. Six years ago, we arrived to stand in line for nearly 2 hours. This time, we arrived 30 minutes before the restaurant opened but were able to sit in the adjacent bar and put our name on a "list" to be able to be seated as soon as the restaurant opened. The atmosphere at Street XO is electric. Including the thumping beat of the music! This is not your quiet, romantic dinner place. Which was fine with us--we were on a business trip. The louder and more fun, the better. The seating encircles the kitchen so you get to see and hear the staff doing the cooking, plating and serving. It's hard to capture the full experience in a review, but know that the cocktails are creative, the food is unique and the experience is memorable. I don't think our group will ever visit Madrid and not visit Street XO. It's one of our happy places.

One of the most unique dining experiences with innovative and flavorful food! They do not take reservations, so it is best to come 20-30 min before opening in order to ensure first seating. There is both an indoor and outdoor seating area - the indoor allows you to sit at the bar that surrounds the kitchen and watch the chefs work their magic, the outdoor is a good alternative for those who do not want to listen to loud clubbing music as they dine (which is the vibe of inside). We tried the Vietnamese spring rolls, Peruvian sashimi, Vietnamese steak, and sashimi croquettes filled with kimchi - all of which were unique and well cooked, with strong flavorful sauces. The food is a tad on the salty side but absolutely delicious. Wish we had the room to try more dishes as there are many that look inciting.

What an immersive experience at Street XO. Since you walk in you are teleported into a wild place! The music the decor and the overall ambiance take you to a whole different world. The menu was very diverse with many different foods that fuse different cooking styles with that of Spain. Each plate had a purpose and a process to get all the flavors. All of this enhanced the experience. Additionally, the service was top notch. Cool spot, will make a stop again when I am in Madrid !

Volvemos definitivamente!

I think you come here more for the experience than the actual food. But also you most likely saw it from the Netflix show Somebody Feed Phil since most people on the queue had mentioned that is how they heard about this place. I cannot stress this enough come 30 minutes before the place is actually open because there will be a queue and it will guarantee you first entry in. Otherwise, you're waiting in the mall hallway in a very long queue for 1.5hours waiting for the first wave to finish eating. Luckily we got here super early and were one of the first groups in so zero wait! The food is a Spanish and Asian fusion mix which I think most of the combos worked well together, and the portions are filling so probably no more than 5 tapas. The taste was average though even though it look cool. They make decent cocktails that come with an experience that you can see in the photos. Don't expect to have much of a conversation here as the music is loud like concert levels blasting, so drink and eat and enjoy the commotion in the kitchen if your sitting at the countertop. The decor was very amusing I have to admit I would want to take some of those signs as magnets if they sold them! The staff are very bilingual (Spanish/English) and hustle hard. Just speak up since that music is blasting!

StreetXO is Dabiz Muñoz in his most unbridled, borderline wacky mood. If DiverXO, the master restaurateur's three-star Michelin flagship, is the meticulously choreographed tasting menu with white-glove precision-- a culinary journey meets Alice in Wonderland-- then StreetXO is the same brain turned loose. A sort of rock 'n' roll meets 90's arcade meets "Big Trouble in Little China". It's louder. Faster. Beautifully messier. And all by ingenious intent. You don't just come here to eat. You come to get swept up and swept away by it all. The inertia is felt the moment one walks inside. The space is edgy and playful, like a grown-up video game that never grew out of its chaos. There's even a swing at the entrance for adults to sit in and take Instagram-worthy photos. My wife and I have, twice. Indeed, there are other options. One might partake of gentler balcony offerings, or tuck into one of many inside nooks in the ample lounge-bar area. But if you want the full StreetXO shenanigans-- heat on your face, hisses of searing pans, perfume of spice and smoke in the air, the full-force theatre of it all-- then plant yourself at the monster octagonal counter. Mirrors line the salon wherein patrons dine, so that everything and everyone can be caught munching, savoring, swigging, laughing, and relishing as if in one big, faceted, reflective stage. An open, inviting kitchen isn't just a floor-plan design. It's a deliberate showcasing of a culinary orchestra at the top of its game. Every movement is in synchronicity, firing out plates with a speed resembling chaos until the beholder realizes it's more like choreography. StreetXO's soundtrack is part of the engine. Music is loud-- thumping with a rotating mix of techno, EDM, and sizzling club beats that would never permit the room to settle. Sonic energy soars with a feverish tempo set by the kitchen. Fast hands ripping streams of tickets and flicking flamed-licked skillets. Bass-lines pound out rhythms as woks crackle and fire leaps from grills. Somehow it all seems perfectly synced: volume, velocity, and vibrancy. Epic dishes appear in front of mesmerized diners as if teleported by magic. The bar is lively, even frenetic. Yet it is an entertaining vibe. Chefs move with haste and purpose, never stopping, never drifting. Flames rise and fall in a sort of hypnotic dance. Smoke curls up and disappears. Oils shimmer in coppery pans. Every station feels alive, like the whole place is a bundle of kinetic pulses refusing to die down. A lead chef in all-black cooking attire anchors the momentum. Around him, staff in mint-white coats navigate through crowds with deft and focus as part server, part air-traffic controller. Plates glide in and out, darting like fragile doves through a storm. And over everything, you hear it again and again: "Voy, voy." It's the kitchen's heartbeat, "coming through", in a never-ending relay. Then you start noticing the precision lurking within all that speed. A tray of perfect seasonings arrives briskly. Bowls and plates are finished with remarkable acuity. No casual splashes, no guesswork. The runner in white handles each plate with steady grace in the middle of mayhem. And the tray is gone before one fully processes what one has just witnessed. Food is alluring, loud, colorful and flavorful-- unapologetically bold, like StreetXO. Management doesn't want you to eat politely. It wants you lean in (with full force). Indulge with enthusiasm. Use your hands. Embrace the messy joys. Duck Dumplings are the perfect example. They are presented on paper placemats, clearly meant to be eaten with fingers. It's a good form of primal. Crispy, crunchy outside. Soft, buttery inside. So delicious it resets your expectations mid-bite. Crab dishes are standouts, too. They disappear faster than planned because every forkful dares another. And then there are the Short Ribs. The mantelpiece. Forty-eight hours of slow heat make it deep, rich, and comforting in a way that feels unfair to everything else on the menu. While StreetXO moves at warp-speed, this delectable delight doesn't rush for anything. It's the star of stars. Even the drinks match Street XO's attitude. One smoky cocktail in particular stands above the rest. Smoke up front, with hints of cherry underneath. It is emboldened and dramatic. Yet curiously balanced and nuanced. The Nam Phrik brings a sharp, spicy-orange hit at the top that awakens everything else. By the time the meal ends, one is satiated, but also buzzing. It's as if you earned a siesta but don't want to take it. You want to keep indulging your senses. That's StreetXO. The cerebral, sophisticated DiverXO's more streetwise sibling. It's not for the timid. It isn't high-concept. It's high octane. Street XO is Madrid's knee-jerk response to full-contact lunch or dinner. And it is as much a spectacle as it is spectacular! read more
Shout out to my Yelper, Regis K., for recommending this spot. It made for a memorable night. I love the nightclub scene and this place offers that kind of ambience. The Techno music is loud so just be aware of that. I loved it and couldn't stop dancing in my seat. It is first come first serve. Regis told me to go as soon as they opened. Even then, we got one of the last seatings by the bar where all the action is. It was so much fun seeing all the chefs and sous chefs shouting and working in harmony. Our server was amazing in recommending many of the dishes and drinks. I also got a kick out of their cool straight jacket chef's attire. One word to describe the food here; it is very avant-garde (Chinese, Vietnamese, Korean, Japanese, Thai, Singapore). Our favorite dish of the night was the Vieira Asada (scallop with a green sauce). Honestly, I don't think you will go wrong with any of the items on the menu. Love how they describe each dish as they present it to you. I also never had the bartender come by and take the time to describe the drink in great detail. Truly an amazing unique meal from start to finish. I do recommend that you get a bit dressed up. And don't forget to take a fun selfie on the leather cushion swings. 10/10 Experience read more
Originally had DiverXO (Michelin version) on our itinerary in Madrid; but because we didn't know how or what kind of food/ambience it would be like, we figured we'll give it a shot at StreetXO. And holy cow, it did not disappoint. We were around the area about 45 mins prior to closing and attempted to get a table. We knew they were gonna be busy but not THAT busy - boy, were we wrong. Unfortunately, they were unable to accept any more parties because of people who were already waiting. So...we killed time and attempted to try again during dinner hour. We got there about 45-1 hour early in advance and there were at least 10+ parties ALREADY waiting or were waiting to put their names down. Luckily, the wait wasn't long for us (but I do recommend getting there early in advance, if possible). It gets busy real quick. Ambiance - club vibes. We did bar seating which IMO, is the best experience. Food was spectacular, drinks were phenomenal (favorite: passion fruit), I ordered 2x. Verdict: since we had a good experience here, the next time we're in Madrid, we'll definitely be going to StreetXO. FYI: restaurant is located on the 3rd floor of the mall (inside). There's a bench to sit just right outside the door so if you can snatch one, do so, since it'll most likely be a wait. read more

Fun place! Great food! Every dish was delicious. Drinks were crazy fun! The service was good but disappointed that the buns we were told were served at each table never arrived. When we asked about them the server said we needed to ask for them. A bit confusing or just plain ridiculous on her part?!?! Be forewarned- music is extremely loud. read more

Visited this place on our trip to Madrid and loved it! The food was delicious and it felt like being in a fever dream in the best way. This is a sort of culinary Six Flags, which is fine--I'm okay with people playing with food and loud music. But because you're delving into the Benihana world, you're setting your bar higher--high enough not to serve stale fish or moldy legumes. I might not hear you well, subdued by the loud music, but it's not loud enough to subdue my taste buds. Put me in a straitjacket and I might be back. read more

Street XO is located in El Corte Ingles (Calle Serrano) on the 3rd floor. Sign up at the door and wait. When your name is called you can move to the inside bar area where you wait a little more while trying their beverage menu. You're then called to your table/seat for the actual dining experience. We sat at the food bar and got to watch the chefs do their magic. Great place to check out! read more

Just speak up since that music is blasting! read more

I dined here during my 2023 Spain trip for lunch and I am still thinking about the high octane energy of the kitchen and unique Asian Spanish fusion dishes I ate. We walked in for lunch near open time and managed to snag two seats at the kitchen bar, where we were able to watch the staff prepare food in front of our eyes and plate up some amazing dishes. The ambiance was awesome and the service we got was attentive and our server recommended some amazing dishes for us. The food was spectacular, standouts for me were the Korean lasagna, cardomom milk buns for dessert, Peruvian sashimi, and dumplings. I would strongly recommend this restaurant and can't wait to visit again when I'm back in Madrid. read more
The best things in life are free and the second best are very expensive. what fun is it if you come to Madrid and not get to try the creative of David Muñoz ? we knew we couldn't get in to DiverXO with no planning so we did the second best thing and came to StreetXO. The restaurant is located on the top floor of El Corte Ingles and that information is very important and you can thank me later for that. We spent a good ten minutes looking for the restaurant only to eventually realize its inside the department store building . As people had suggested we came right near opening time and there was a huge line . After a 30 minute wait we were escorted inside and were seated at the bar where you can order no food at all . The music is loud and foot tapping and the vibe is upscale . The drinks menu is creative and has quite the selection of cocktails and mocktails. The staff impeccably dressed in straight jackets offered us gimmicky cocktails which we loved because who doesn't like overpriced drinks that come with theatrics ? And the grueling wait of 1.5 hour began during which I got increasing hangry fueled by alcohol. We had multiple rounds of drinks , looked around , took pictures , talked to our fellow customers got increasingly hungry and the wait seemed never ending . Finally we were ushered in to the eating area which is a big communal setting where the chefs cook right in front of you and food is served fresh from the fire. All the alcohol that I had previously seemed to start catching on fire inside my body because man was this place HOT ! I had to take multiple breaks to walk around because it was extremely hot in there . The Steam buns arrived first followed by the Pekinese Dumplings which are served with crunchy pig's ear, strawberry hoisin, aioli and gherkins. We also had few other dishes that I cant seem to recall the name of now . The service to me felt average because I thought we weren't given enough time or attention to help answer our questions about the food or when we wanted to order more . Food was delicious and definitely creative . The menu is well thought out and the staff knows what they are doing .Food wise this was a 5 star experience but the overall experience to me felt lacking . I don't want to spend 4 hours waiting to eat food on a vacation . I know there are people who don't mind it and if that's your thing you do you . I would have preferred if they let us order small bites at the bar or given an estimate on how long it could take . Price wise they are on the slightly higher end and were definitely one of the most expensive meal we had in Spain . read more
It was a good experience but It was not worth standing in line for almost 2 hours. We got in line too late for the 1st seating so we didn't get seated until almost 3:00. We, along with a long queue, waited in the stairwell of the department store for our turn. We sat at the bar where we can see a lot of the food prep in front of us. That was interesting. There are some tables available too but the bar is a better option. I found the music to be way too loud. When each dish was delivered, the server explains each dish. But the music was so loud I couldn't hear. Even talking to my family sitting next to me was a challenge. They also don't give you any serving plates. We shared most of our dishes so we had take turns sampling a dish by passing the dishes around. As for the food, the dishes were visually striking for sure. The plating and presentation were definitely a primary focus. All the food was cooked just right. Care was taken not to overcook the delicate seafoods. Where the restaurant did not excel was in how everything came together where it mattered, in my mouth. No dish was wow. They were all good but none was spectacular. By the throng of crowd, Street XO definitely is a happening place and is worth trying but just plan to give plenty of time. read more
This is an international experience like no other. Fast pace, high energy with outstanding food that is very creative and amazing.....a feast for your eyes as well as your tastebuds. Make sure you sit at the bar where you can watch all the action. 12 chefs all working at a feverish pace to prep your food. Enjoy! read more
Awesome and amazing. I first came here over 5 years ago when I couldn't get into David Munoz' Diver XO. It was then as is now: amazing. Street is a lot more casual than Diver and the decor reminds you of a Hong Kong or Macao street (think loud neon). It's located at the top of the Corte Ingles with entrances via the store or to the outside. As there are no reservations you have to come early and place your name on a waiting list. My last two attempts were utter failures and then bingo! I was shopping on a lazy Sunday and decided to see if I could place my name on the list. I took the internal elevators and to my surprise I was literally the first person according to the hostess. Apparently she explained the restaurant was always packed because it appeared in a Netflix's show. I placed my name in the list sat down and had two martinis. I was called up at 20:00 and sat down. I had the egg roll, the lobster chili and desert. All were amazing. The chili leapt out of my mouth. My only detraction was that the lobster claws were not broken and it was a mess to get the meat out. I asked the chef for a cracker and was given one. But still a mess. All and all it was awesome and I can't wait for my next time. read more

StreetXO is one of the most unique and creative dining experiences I have ever had in my life. I dined here in March 2022 with a group of friends and was blown away by pretty much everything. First, expect to get there early before opening for dinner so you can line up. They don't take reservations and this is a very popular spot. Luckily, I had 5 other friends with me, so we took turns waiting in line and getting drinks at the bar right next to StreetXO. I was wondering if it would even be worth the wait because we waited in line for maybe 1.5 hours, but everyone in Madrid said that we *had* to come here. And boy were they right! The food was show-stopping. Everything from the drinks to small bites were so unique and different, and yet everything tasted delicious. This restaurant is headed by renown Chef David Munoz and the creativity shines through on every plate. Even the picky eaters in our group had something they enjoyed, but I will say that it is more for the adventurous eaters. I recommend all my friends who are traveling to Europe to try and make a stop here. Can't wait to eat here again next time I am in Madrid! read more
4.5 stars StreetXo is the casual cousin to my favorite restaurant in the world, DiverXo in Madrid. At both restaurants, the "show" is every much a part of the dining experience as the food itself. At StreetXo, a ring of bar seats surrounds the open kitchen, where the super high-energy chefs prepare the food right in front of you, giving diners a much deeper appreciation for the prep, finesse, and presentation that goes into every artful dish! We started with the Pekinese Dumplings, which were plated on a white sheet of paper with Jackson-Pollock-style splotches of strawberries hoisin sauce. The dumplings were paired with deep-fried pig's ear, which added a unique crunch and chewiness to every bite. After quite a long wait, two of my favorite dishes came out--the Singapore Laksa consisted of two gigantic, head-on Scarlet Prawns (cooked on the Japanese robota grill in the kitchen) paired with egg pasta (in the form of little shells) and a coconut cream soup, topped with bean sprouts and herbs for a nice refreshing bite. The prawn was the highlight of the dish with its flavorful head juices and the almost creamy texture of its body. Second, the Octopus Taco was built on a blue corn tortilla and was made of several thick chunks of octopus, along with a spicy yellow chili mole, a tomatillo emulsion, pickled carrots, pumpkin seeds, and shredded Parmesan cheese on top (of all things!). The flavor of the taco was dominated by the creamy, spicy chili sauce, and a squeeze of lime helped to bring all the ingredients together. One of the most popular dishes from the menu was the Korean Lasagna, made with layers of wonton skins (instead of pasta), ground aged Galician beef, shiitake mushrooms, pickled spicy tomatoes, and cardamom béchamel, all topped with a cracker seasoned with togarashi, which was broken up at the table after the plate was presented. It was hard to tell what was particularly "Korean" about this dish, as the flavor was dominated by the spices and overpoweringly salty sauces mixed with the beef (which had a flavor reminiscent of Japanese curry). Finally, we ended our meal with the Robata Pigeon Tandoori. Taking further advantage of the Japanese robata grill, the pigeon was coated with tandoori spices and charred. The pigeon was separated into two plates--on one plate were the pigeon drumsticks (claws and all) formed into the shape of an "X." The other plate contained the sliced pigeon breasts, plated with dollops of rutabaga puree and topped with six papadums decorated with dots of tamarind chutney. The papadums formed the shape of an "O," so when placed next to each other, the two plates spelled out "XO" for the name of the restaurant! read more
By far the worst meal we had in Madrid. This place delivered more of a hype than a gastronomic experience. First, was the wait time. We arrived at 2:30pm and waited about 1.5 hrs before we were seated by the bar. You can order drinks while waiting in line but it didn't help to remind me that we could be using this time to enjoy sightseeing or eating tapas and drinking good and inexpensive wine instead. Once we were led to the bar, we quickly made our orders as we had a lot of time to make that decision. The portions here were not small so don't be pressured to over order. We started with the dumplings and it was the best dish we had. We then had the chili crab, which is nothing like the version I had in Singapore. The crab didn't have any meats and after you spend 20 mins picking everything apart, you quickly feel fooled. The broth was the only saving grace but there was no rice to accompany that. Our last dish was the cod, it was marinated in some kind of red sauce and lathered in coconut milk foam. The red sauce overpowered the fish and I ended up tasting the coconut milk flavor instead of the fish itself. The ambiance was also lacking as the restaurant was blasting with loud music. It felt more like a club than an upscale restaurant. Lastly, the meal came with a hefty price tag. Our 3 dishes plus 3 drinks (2 wines and 1 beer) came out to be around 80 euros. It was the least satisfying meal we had in Madrid. The concept of fusion meal might be appealing for the locals or someone that wants to try something other than tapas. But if you are looking for an authentic spanish meal, this is not the place. Especially if you are visiting Spain for the first time! read more
We saw that Everybody that feed Phil from Netflix came to the restaurant so we thought about giving it a try. It was a fun experience. We enjoyed the music and the creative menu. At the end of the day, I just conclude that it is spanish food X asian fusion. It's important to arrive here atleast 30 minutes before opening if you want to get in as the first wave. The first wave of guests take approximately 1 hour and half to eat. Then they slowly trickle in new customers. I think we ordered essentially almost half of the menu. They recommended 6-7 tapas which was probably 1-2 too many for us. We were stuffed. The highlights for me were the dumplings, sashimi and kimchi lasagna. Those three dishes had a nice combination of beautiful plating and great flavour. The best way to decide: If you are here for the experience- go to StreetXo. If you are wishing for life changing food, this isn't the place. read more
Saw this place on Feed Phil. There location on Google Maps, Apple Maps, Waze, and CityMapper is wrong. We walked around and in half a dozen other buildings trying to find this place. We asked another bar near by and they said "oh they closed". No they didn't. We almost got drinks there but knew there was no way that recent photos had been published if they were closed. There was a line when we arrived but they take folks in large groups since the experience is broken out in schedules chunks. I recommend making a reservation so you don't have to wait. We didn't do the dinner experience and instead opted for the drinks and bar. Very fun craft drinks and while they were good it was more expensive then you'd like. I'm always game for paying more for a good drink and a cool environment but these were clearly leaning into their recent fame from the show which was disappointing. read more

While DiverXO makes its mark with an elaborate tasting menu full of nuance, StreetXO steps right up with huge flavors, a raucous atmosphere and even more edge including servers in straightjackets and Cocktails in Dinosaur Eggs. All from the mind of Dabiz Muñoz, his years at Nobu and Hakkasan igniting a passion for Asian cookery on full display in both Madrid as well as London, StreetXO originally opened in 2012 and now sits on the seventh floor of El Corte Ingles overlooking the Spanish capitol's rooftops. Appearing like a hawker centre while bumping techno, the bar around an open kitchen inviting onlookers to witness what can best be described as controlled chaos, guests are invited to select items in varying portions including the likes of splattered Butcher's paper porting Peking Dumplings with crackling Pig's Ears and Pickles. No reservations and bright red, "Welcome to Madriz" signage visible from a queue that forms thirty minutes before opening, Vietnam gets a nod with Duck and Shellfish stuffed Rolls topped in raw White Prawns while Ramen gets a big upgrade via Duck Liver and Guinea Fowl Broth afloat with Mushrooms and Chilis. Recommended Steam Buns, good on their own but indispensable for sopping up residual Gravy laced with Curry beneath spoon-tender Beef Cheek, Dessert is an all-in experience both familiar and creative from Milk Bread intended to be dragged through Vanilla and herbed Pineapple to the Styrofoam cooler packing aerated Cheesecake. Casual but precise, "If I screw up, my brothers and sisters struggle, so I don't screw up" explained by a young cook in fragmented English when asked about the kitchen, final bites were reserved for "Cookie Ice Cream" served in a custom-made container-bottom allowing a thin layer bite-for-bite with Waffles, Oranges and White Chocolate exaggerated by a tingly tongue. read more
If you're looking for a new fun and exciting restaurant/high end street food/cocktails/club music extravaganza , this is the place for you! You know that friend that tries too hard? Is really sweet and nice, but just misses the mark because they try SO hard to be SO different that it just fails? That friend is StreetXO. It was super hit or miss...a lot more misses. I'll preface that I'm a tourist to Madrid, and I was not going to go here originally because Asian food in Madrid seemed odd. But we ran into some fellow foodies who gushed over how great the food was here, so we had to go try it. I'm extremely disappointed. Food-wise, the only thing I really liked was the clams in jalapeno gazpacho. Which, looking at it, was the one thing that was much more Spanish-style. The clams were super fresh and delicious. It was intended that the shell would be a spoon for the gazpacho. The gazpacho itself was very light and not spicy - just getting that great jalapeno flavor to complement the sweet clams. Everything that was Asian style fell off the mark. Singapore Brioche: Not terrible, not great. It's literally a fried bun that Cantonese folks eat (zha man tow). Pretty sure they don't eat this in Singapore. Pekinese Dumpling: I really wanted to like this one. The presentation was really amazing, and the combination sounded interesting. Unfortunately, the dumpling itself reminded me of a Ling Ling dumpling - over processed and dry. The crispy pork ear was okay (added a little texture). Corn Tacos: Not terrible, not great. The meat was nicely done, and the sauces that came with it was good. I'm accustomed to Mexican tacos, so I felt like this taco needed some fresh cabbage, or maybe some pickled something on top to help cut the richness of the meat. Butter Tikka Masala: The tikka masala sauce was good and the chicken and corn were cooked well. The sauce was pretty rich, so adding the chedder cheese naan was a little overkill. I couldn't use the naan to sop up the sauce, which I hope was one of the reasons it was served together. Indivdually though, each part of this dish was good. Combined, it was just a LITTLE too rich. "La Pedroche" croquettes: the single worst thing I ate in my entire trip to Spain. Like literally I wanted to gag when I put it in my mouth - and they recommended to pop the whole thing in at once because the inside of the croquette was liquid. I'm glad I didn't, as it made spitting it out much easier. The croquette was basically a fried dairy (sheep milk?) nacho cheese-like thing, that was topped with a slice of raw tuna, and what looked like X.O. sauce on top. It was utterly disgusting. RAW fish does NOT BELONG WITH DAIRY. To try to make up for this, I ordered the Korean lasagna hoping that it would be better. It was not. The meat part was super dense and overly rich, with nothing to cut the heavy-ness. I'm really disappointed. I was hoping for a great meal, but it was all just trying so hard to be so great, and kept missing the mark. The food looked amazing. Like I literally loved seeing each dish as it came out. But there were just so many misses that I'm disappointed. The redeeming side was the drinks. The drinks were really creative and wonderful, and staff basically ask you for type of booze and sweet or savory, and bring you something magical made off to the side. I had a gin with ginger something, as well as a vodka with candy rocks, both of which were delicious. The other redeeming side was the staff. The staff are amazing. Very attentive and engaging. if I spoke more (or any...) Spanish, I'd love to have chatted with them. If I could come back for just the alcohol and clams, that would be worth it. Anything else on the menu was too ehh or just gross. read more
Website states the line is available at 7:30PM.We arrived at 7:30PM and there were already 20 people sitting in line. SO you can actually get there at whatever time you want to get into the line. There is a security guard who manages the line integrity. As soon as the space on the red wrap around sectional is filled up he begins making a line in the overflow area. There is obviously a magic number for the night demonstrated by the hostess coming out and counting people. The security guard then began turning people away for the line. Website states service begins at 8PM but we sat there until 8:30PM. They let about 35 of us in only to be seated at the drink bar. We noticed there were still people inside eating so they filled in whatever amount of seats they had open for dinner and the rest of us waited at the drink bar. Why there were still people inside from the lunch service?? We ordered 2 -$14 cocktails in gimmicky glasses and waited and waited. The cocktails were AVERAGE at best. They offered us to eat outside but if you do you miss, "the show" inside. At this point you can only get seated when people were finished eating and leave. Also, they sat parties of 1 who were still in the line waiting and came way after us instead of waiting for 2 seats to open to seat those of us who were here early. We waited 2 more hours for our seats!!This means we had waited 3 hours to eat! It was 10:30PM by the time we were seated. UNREAL! They did not offer any appetizers or food while we waited either. The magic was gone and we were OVER IT! The dining room was themed after what the streets of Japan look like and the music was so very loud that everyone was yelling. Even the staff was yelling. Also know that it is an open kitchen so it is HOT in there with limited fresh air circulating. You are sat on high, uncomfortable bar stools super close to everyone and there is no way to avoid bumping people. They suggest you order 6-7 dishes and dessert. We ordered 8 dishes which was way, way too much. But being that they are small app style dishes we thought tit would be fine. If you order 5 and share it is PLENTY! The problem is were are from the U.S. so we wanted to try everything as we will never be back. The employees are great and patient. They know their stuff and really go the distance to take care of you. It's exciting to watch them cook and prep dishes. The food came out quick and at a steady pace. They decide the order of which dishes come out. Out of the 8 dishes we were only blown away by 4.The 4 were the Pekinese Dumpling, Roasted Scallop, Korean Lasagna and the Ramen. Dont get me wrong, the other dishes were good but not worth waiting 4 hours for which by the time we got some of them we had been there for 4 hours!!! ! By the time the last dish came we were OVER STUFFED and exhausted. We forced down 2 bites of the final and most decadent dish which was the chili lobster and then took the rest of it home. This put us over the edge and we still had to eat dessert. By the time dessert came out there were only 4 of us in the dining room. We were left watching the staff clear down and wash the kitchen. The dessert was brioche pedroche and WOW WOW - super good. I uploaded the receipt of what we ordered. I guess the main issue here is you are not prepared to be spend HOURS and HOURS in this place. You arrive hungry and then move into starving and then eat around 10:30PM after sitting in line since 7:30! Its NUTS.Such a horrible system! It's worth mentioning and really added to our aggravation and took away from the magic of this place is that BEFORE we got seated they started taking walk ins! So at around 9:45 people who were NOT in the line were allowed in to eat.!!!Mind you they were not the original people who got turned away either. Just people showing up and walking in to eat.So PRO TIP show up at 9:30 and you have a great chance to get in and you will avoid the line, the wait and the overly priced average cocktails. Also, this restaurant is on the 3rd floor of a the Cortes Ingles shopping mall. We thought originally the taxi dropped us off in the wrong place. You have to walk thru the mall and take the escalator up. At the end of the night since it's so late you get escorted down the service elevator and out a side entrance. All in all we spent $215 Euro on food not including tip. This is not the most we have ever spent on food but after all of the wait and hassle we just felt we could have skipped it! Dont have plans after dinner because you won't make them.We walked out at MIDNIGHT!! It's ridiculous and they really need to get this wait system together or maybe take reservations?Michelin star restaurants take reservations and it works out just fine.I cant recommend this restaurant. I really, wanted to love it and was so very excited to go but the whole management of seating and wait time sucked the life out of the whole vibe and experience.Maybe go for the lunch service then you can get to bed on the same day you arrived. read more

Really great food, and great experience. A must go when visiting Madrid. Get the Ramen cocktail!
We just missed the first seating so we waited about 1.5 hours for a bar seat. We ordered about half of the menu and I thought the highlight was the sandwich club was light fluffy bread topped with whipped ricotta cheese, fried quail egg, and Sichimi-Togarashi. The restaurant specializes in Asian fusion but the dishes just left me craving for the original authentic dishes. read more

StreetXO is a one-of-a-kind dining experience in Madrid. Chef David Muñoz is known for his innovative and creative take on Asian-inspired cuisine, and StreetXO is the perfect place to sample his culinary genius. The restaurant is small and intimate, with a counter overlooking the open kitchen. This gives diners a front-row seat to the action as the chefs prepare each dish with precision and flair. The menu changes frequently, but you can always expect to find dishes that are both delicious and visually stunning. My favorites include Korean lasagna, black cod, and dumplings. The cocktails are also excellent, and the wine list is well-curated. The service at StreetXO is excellent. The staff is knowledgeable and attentive, and they are always happy to make recommendations. If you want a unique and memorable dining experience in Madrid, I highly recommend StreetXO. It's not cheap, but it's worth every penny. Overall, StreetXO is a must-visit for any foodie visiting Madrid. It's a unique and unforgettable dining experience you will never forget. Pros: * Innovative and creative cuisine * Amazing flavors * Visually stunning dishes * Great service * Fun and lively atmosphere Cons: * Can be pricey * Reservations are essential or face long queues * Can be noisy read more

This place is amazing! We had to beg to let us in cause even though they close at 11pm, they stop letting people in at 10pm. We got there at 10:05pm but the manager eventually gave in and let us in.
