Prepare yourself to be amazed! You are in for a superb dining experience, premium quality, and that will cost you a premium price but you will feel like it was well worth it. What stuck with me was that food is what you'd get in top-notch Michelin-starred restaurants but the atmosphere is far from those aloof feelings typical of those places, on the contrary, it's warm and feels like you're in your casual local bar with your best buddies. What is greater than having 5-star food but being relaxed enough as if you were at a friend's house? The service is attentive and friendly, the servers are patient and professional. They take their time to explain anything you might need and make proper recommendations. The plates are on a smaller size, so if you have a big appetite you will have to order quite a bit, however, every single item was a hit. Each dish is creative, with perfectly combined flavors, nicely balanced, textures on point, and the presentations are stunning. A work of art comes to your table every time. It's difficult to suggest individual dishes because I can say that everything is fabulous but the Ceviche was something supernatural. Don't forget the cocktails! They are another experience in themselves. Same standard of beautiful presentation and great flavor combinations to choose from. This hidden spot deserves more recognition than it has. This may possibly be the BEST meal I have ever had in my life. It was worth every cent and more. The quality of food, flavor, and overall service was beyond anything I've ever had, and this place deserves more recognition for its superb dining experience. The flavors that these incredible chefs have created are masterful, and combined with the textures, makes you want to savor each bite. It's a shame that I couldn't eat slower because everything was so delicious. My personal favorite was the spicy sour soup because of how unexpected the flavors and visuals were. It was unlike anything I've ever had with an initial sour flavor paired with the trout and bits of cucumber and fish egg that cut through the acidity. This completely changed my assumptions of how a soup should look and taste in the best way possible. It is so hard to choose a favorite because everything was so delicious in its own way with its own distinct flavors and textures. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, and the fact that there were a total of 11 dishes at this price point was incredible. Even if I'd paid three times the price, I'd be just as satisfied and happy to have spent that money for this entire experience. If you are ever in Madrid PLEASE make sure to stop by. I would recommend Kuoco to anyone. We tried their tasting menu and it was phenomenal. For 72 euros, it was probably one of the pricier meals I've had in Madrid but it was worth it. Every single item was a hit and I wasn't expecting to be so full from all the small plates but I was more than full by the end of the meal. If I absolutely had to choose, my favorite dishes were the first dish - a flavor packed bite that had Thai prawn and the spicy sour soup. The soup was most surprising to me. I don't typically like cold soups but this is the one exception. It was delicious and I would order it on its own. Kuoco is tourist friendly with their online menu that can be toggled to English. Their staff is friendly and was knowledgeable on every course. I've already been raving about this back home to my friends as a must try if they ever visit Madrid. read more

This was our first stop after landing and settling in Madrid! Wasn't sure what to expect but just knew from recommendations from friends that this was place was good. If you're like me and don't have international data or available e-sim for your phone, be sure to ask for their WiFi when you're there since menu is all online. Also, I tried reading the menu in Spanish for a good 10 minutes before one of the servers told me the entire page has an English translation easily toggled at the top of the main menu. There are options for a La carte we saw other tables getting, but we ended up getting the "360* taste" which is a tasting menu made up of 11 different small dishes. It had a combination of sweet, sour, and savory flavors that derived from Spanish/Asian origins that felt so perfectly combined and complemented with each other. The servers seem used to catering to tourists and were more than happy to explain each dish from the menu and the proper way to eat and enjoy them. They were also very cognizant of dietary restrictions and offered to swab out any dish at request. We were ok with everything listed so we kept everything the same. Some of my favorites included the Garlic Thai Prawn, French Oyster, Spicy Sour Soup, Laksallesa, and Monaka. There is a wine pairing menu but we ended up opted just for a mixed drink. They recommended GinGin Mule and Tokyo Green. Both were good, but we agreed the Mule was amazing esp complemented with most of the dishes. The tasting menu has a somewhat higher price than what you normally would pay for food around the area of 72,00€, but it was so worth and by far the best meal I had on the trip. Kuoco 360 ended up being the first sit down meal my wife, brother in law, and I had on a recent Spain trip. Despite being incredibly cranky from jet lag, tired from a full day of exploring, and feeling apprehensive regarding an ambitious Asian/Latin fusion menu in Madrid, Kuoco delivered. The food we sampled here truly tasted excellent and the kitchen demonstrates a great knowledge of Asian and Central/South American flavors. We opted for the a la carte menu as the items spoke to us more than the tasting menu. Some of the highlights of the items we sampled included crispy, creamy chili crab croquettes, piquant tandoori rabbit, and numerous fresh raw seafood preparations. The plates arrived artfully presented and the flavors were bold and remained reasonably true to the host cuisines. For example, my party and I were a little hesitant to order the tandoori rabbit as we are Indian, but found the marinade on the meat very authentic and, surprisingly, spicy enough for our palettes. The cocktails here are excellent and well balanced, the dining room ambiance feels casual but intimate enough for a nice date. We had generally great service with detailed explanations of the dishes we ordered and with frequent changing of silverware/clearing of crumbs. I would highly recommend reservations here as the restaurant was packed throughout service. The sole misstep of the evening was in the dessert we ordered - a play on strawberry shortcake but with some extraneous flavors added (e.g, shiso and coriander) that detracted from the bite. Still, even that couldn't detract from a meal that revitalized us after a long day and excited our palates. If you want to explore something outside the norm in Madrid, you can't go wrong with Kuoco. read more

This was one of the best dining experiences we've had during our 3 weeks vacay in Spain/France (and a quick stint in Mexico City passing through Pujol) and a highlight of my time in Madrid. The best meal we had in Madrid!!! I can see this place getting a Michelin star one day. Music they played in the restaurant was phenomenal, every little detail of the plating, flavors and explanation of the menu was executed flawlessly. We got a couple of the 1 bite tasters. Probably the best oyster I've ever had. Then we shared the tikka octopus which was insanely good and cooked perfectly. Lastly I got the beef cheeks and my fiancé got the rabbit. Both were incredible but I did like the beef cheeks better. The amount of flavor they loaded into that dish is something I've had very few times in the past. My sole criticism is that our server described the dishes and ingredients in both Spanish and English so fast that it was unintelligible. (8.5/10) 4) the daily special was a solid chewy fish that we also enjoyed (8.5/10) PORTION and PRICE (This is were it's lacking) The portions are small for its price. From top to bottom my husband and I really enjoyed every dish we got at Kuoco 360. We shared everything we ordered, and I love that they offer 1/2 portions of their appetizers, which is not unique to Spain, but for Americans looking to branch out it's good to keep an eye out for when you're traveling solo or as a couple. + "TATAKI DE SALMON QUEMADO" (€16) - Amazing and probably my favorite of the night. Lightly seared salmon in a beet sauce with olive oil, crisped quioa and salmon roe. We actually ordered a whole portion of this (we were told 6 pieces, but it ended up being only 5 which was kind of a bummer because it was so good). + "PRESA IBÉRICA" (€18) - Served w/ a shitake mole, crispy wontons, pico de gallo, sesame and green onion. The cook on this was medium rare, bordering on rare which is totally my jam, super flavorful and tender. My only minor complaint was there was A LOT of mole sauce, but I'd rather have too much than too little. + CORDERO LECHAL 12 HORAS (€19) - A delicious 12 hour lamb shank that was served w/ potatoes, baby carrots, beans, peanut crumbs and a tamarind glaze-- fell apart, super tender and the tartness of the tamarind really balanced the richness of this dish. + LEMONPAI (€6.50) - This was the most unexpectedly delicious thing we ordered. In addition to being soooo full, the dessert we wanted wasn't available but our server made the suggestion to try the Lemonpai as it was her favorite. We decided to YOLO and snagged an order. Even though it sounded bizarre, it totally knocked our socks off. It was kind of like a wasabi covered peanut had a baby with a lemon curd in the best way possible. One of our 'splurge' meals in Spain and a much-needed break from the traditional tapas/raciones we stuffed our faces with the first six days. And for a splurge meal, with three large plates of the highest quality, a stunning dessert, and two drinks each, it was a steal of a deal at 75 euros. Here's what we got... ++Tataki de Salmon Quemado Maybe the best dish of our entire trip. If not, definitely in the running. It was a show-stopper at first sight (beautifully plated) and a scene-stealer at every bite (magically executed). Salmon was lightly seared, topped with crispy quinoa and roe, and served with a beet sauce and olive oil. All of it together equals the perfect bite. ++Presa Iberica Cooked amazingly, tender and packed with flavor. Came with crunchy wontons, pico de gallo, and a mole sauce, so there was a lot happening, some nice textures involved, and everything played well together. Super delicious! ++Cordero Lechal 12 Horas A lamb shank cooked (12 hrs) til the meat was ready to fall off the bone. And fall off the bone it did...right into my mouth! So dang good. And the tamarind glaze was a nice surprise, adding another element of flavor while cutting into the richness of the dish. ++'Lemonpai' The dessert. But not just any dessert. THE dessert. A play on a lemon pie, but really so much more and so much better than I could have ever hoped for--glad I listened to the server's recommendation, cuz she nailed it! I can't even describe it, other than it was a super whimsical, deconstructed(ish) dessert with a lemon curd, peanut crumble that mimicked the best pie crust you ever had, and a wasabi meringue but like thin wafer style, stacked and leaning against one another. What an amazing place. This was my last meal in Madrid & my co-worker couldn't have chosen a better restaurant. Skip the starters, the fried wontons & croquettes were just OK. Instead, order a few entrees to share. The ceviche was incredible & so fresh, & the octopus was prepared perfectly! Honestly I think the octopus was the best I ever had. The baby lamb was so tender, & the black noodles were very good. My favorite was the curry seafood dish (I'm sorry I forget the name). We also ordered dessert &went with the hazelnut filled chocolate cake w black ice cream. This was our first stop in Madrid for food and I was very excited to try it out. The decor was very nice on the inside and our server was great when we showed up with no reservations just after they opened on a Wednesday night. He spoke english to us and was very respectful. Overall the food was good but is fairly overhyped on other reviews. We ordered: - 2 pan y aperitivo: We didn't actually order this intentionally, it was brought out to us at the start of the meal and we were charged for it later. We later learned that almost every place in Spain gives your bread and doesn't tell you that they charge for it. However, this was probably the best thing we had, it was delicious! It had a red pepper puree that was really good with the bread. - 2 wonton Crujiente: This was brought to our table by mistake. We ordered water but our sever misunderstood us and thought we ordered the wontons. We said it was cool and told him we'll keep it. Honestly it was the second best thing we had. Two small fried wontons seasoned very well. -Ceviche Clasico Medio: This was our least enjoyed dish. TBH there was WAY too much acid that over powered everything in this dish. With that said, the fish was extremely fresh. - Cordero Lechal 12 Horas: The lamb shank was extremely tender but under seasoned and the tamarind sauce with the plate was good but I don't think it was a cohesive dish. Only other thing that I would point out is that our server disappeared on us at the end of the meal. We ended up waiting for 30 minutes before another server came to help us close out. I guess in Spain they won't bring you the check because they think it is rude, but I think this was more of a case of our server going MIA on us. read more

Kuoco 360 was a perfect place to eat lunch in Madrid. We went at about 2:30 in the afternoon, but luckily they had room for 2 without a reservation (but I suggest making one). I had the Rice Gnocchi and my friend had the Black Calamari Noodles. Both were perfectly portioned and flavored. The waiting staff was very accommodating and spoke both English and Spanish quite fluently. They were also more than happy to give recommendations to my friend for an entree. The menu was fairly priced (less than 20€ for entrees), but the price was well worth the quality and service. I will definitely be taking my girlfriend here when she visits in December! read more
