    Amuse Bouche: Garlic Thai Prawn
    Joonyoung L.

This may possibly be the BEST meal I have ever had in my life. It was worth every cent and more. The quality of food, flavor, and overall service was beyond anything I've ever had, and this place deserves more recognition for its superb dining experience. The flavors that these incredible chefs have created are masterful, and combined with the textures, makes you want to savor each bite. It's a shame that I couldn't eat slower because everything was so delicious. My personal favorite was the spicy sour soup because of how unexpected the flavors and visuals were. It was unlike anything I've ever had with an initial sour flavor paired with the trout and bits of cucumber and fish egg that cut through the acidity. This completely changed my assumptions of how a soup should look and taste in the best way possible. It is so hard to choose a favorite because everything was so delicious in its own way with its own distinct flavors and textures. I cannot recommend this restaurant enough, and the fact that there were a total of 11 dishes at this price point was incredible. Even if I'd paid three times the price, I'd be just as satisfied and happy to have spent that money for this entire experience. If you are ever in Madrid PLEASE make sure to stop by. If I go back to Madrid, it will be for this restaurant.

This was our first stop after landing and settling in Madrid! Wasn't sure what to expect but just knew from recommendations from friends that this was place was good. If you're like me and don't have international data or available e-sim for your phone, be sure to ask for their WiFi when you're there since menu is all online. Also, I tried reading the menu in Spanish for a good 10 minutes before one of the servers told me the entire page has an English translation easily toggled at the top of the main menu. There are options for a La carte we saw other tables getting, but we ended up getting the "360* taste" which is a tasting menu made up of 11 different small dishes. It had a combination of sweet, sour, and savory flavors that derived from Spanish/Asian origins that felt so perfectly combined and complemented with each other. The servers seem used to catering to tourists and were more than happy to explain each dish from the menu and the proper way to eat and enjoy them. They were also very cognizant of dietary restrictions and offered to swab out any dish at request. We were ok with everything listed so we kept everything the same. Some of my favorites included the Garlic Thai Prawn, French Oyster, Spicy Sour Soup, Laksallesa, and Monaka. There is a wine pairing menu but we ended up opted just for a mixed drink. They recommended GinGin Mule and Tokyo Green. Both were good, but we agreed the Mule was amazing esp complemented with most of the dishes. The tasting menu has a somewhat higher price than what you normally would pay for food around the area of 72,00€, but it was so worth and by far the best meal I had on the trip. The seating inside was a bit small, but still felt comfortable. Not sure if they allow walk-ups, but we had made an online reservation prior to coming.

Madrid's best-kept secret! Kuoco 360 was the perfect way to ring in 28. I had a stellar time celebrating my birthday here. This was one of the best dining experiences we've had during our 3 weeks vacay in Spain/France (and a quick stint in Mexico City passing through Pujol) and a highlight of my time in Madrid. I eat a lot of raw food but my parents cannot. The folks at Kuoco were kind enough to accommodate their preferences and served us different dishes. We had a great time and the food was delicious - thank you!

an amazing bite that flew from thailand to spain and combined the flavors exquisitely

superb. sublime. extremely good. we've dined from san francisco to paris and this was full-stop one of, if not THE best meals i've ever had. we had the tasting menu with the drink pair g and it was perfect. start to finish, one hit after another. a true journey that i will think about for years. i would literally come back to madrid just to eat at Kuoco. so freaking good. and the service was amazing. attentive, excited, and fully in to what the restaurant is doing. we loved it. excellent vibes.

The best meal we had in Madrid!!! I can see this place getting a Michelin star one day. Music they played in the restaurant was phenomenal, every little detail of the plating, flavors and explanation of the menu was executed flawlessly. We got a couple of the 1 bite tasters. Probably the best oyster I've ever had. Then we shared the tikka octopus which was insanely good and cooked perfectly. Lastly I got the beef cheeks and my fiancé got the rabbit. Both were incredible but I did like the beef cheeks better. The amount of flavor they loaded into that dish is something I've had very few times in the past. The meat was so tender and I can't stop thinking about the intense depth of the sauce. You must go here!!

Superb Fusion food in an intimate setting well worth the 72 euro fixed price per person. My sole criticism is that our server described the dishes and ingredients in both Spanish and English so fast that it was unintelligible. When I asked her to please slow down, she said she couldn't, because she was from the Canary Islands. Otherwise, the service was excellent. Truly one of the best meals we have ever eaten. Reservations are a must. We will be back!! See photos.

This place deserves 5 stars for: 1) Service 2) Ambiente and presentation of food 3) feeling, atmosphere and overall experience Why I am giving only 4 stars which is more a 3.5 stars: TASTE 1) The croquettes were good/ok (6/10) 2) Both appetizers were disappointing (3/10) - the octopus and shrimp cocktail was simply too sour and the tuna tartare was also too sour and had too much maracuja flavor 3) Black noodles noodles are their best sellers and no doubt tasty! (8.5/10) 4) the daily special was a solid chewy fish that we also enjoyed (8.5/10) PORTION and PRICE (This is were it's lacking) The portions are small for its price. We left this place with 2 appetizers and 2 dishes for 100€ and we had to go to another place to eat in order to get full. So it's more of an experience, taste, date or meeting rather something for your hunger.

From top to bottom my husband and I really enjoyed every dish we got at Kuoco 360. We shared everything we ordered, and I love that they offer 1/2 portions of their appetizers, which is not unique to Spain, but for Americans looking to branch out it's good to keep an eye out for when you're traveling solo or as a couple. + "TATAKI DE SALMON QUEMADO" (€16) - Amazing and probably my favorite of the night. Lightly seared salmon in a beet sauce with olive oil, crisped quioa and salmon roe. We actually ordered a whole portion of this (we were told 6 pieces, but it ended up being only 5 which was kind of a bummer because it was so good). + "PRESA IBÉRICA" (€18) - Served w/ a shitake mole, crispy wontons, pico de gallo, sesame and green onion. The cook on this was medium rare, bordering on rare which is totally my jam, super flavorful and tender. My only minor complaint was there was A LOT of mole sauce, but I'd rather have too much than too little. + CORDERO LECHAL 12 HORAS (€19) - A delicious 12 hour lamb shank that was served w/ potatoes, baby carrots, beans, peanut crumbs and a tamarind glaze-- fell apart, super tender and the tartness of the tamarind really balanced the richness of this dish. + LEMONPAI (€6.50) - This was the most unexpectedly delicious thing we ordered. In addition to being soooo full, the dessert we wanted wasn't available but our server made the suggestion to try the Lemonpai as it was her favorite. We decided to YOLO and snagged an order. Even though it sounded bizarre, it totally knocked our socks off. It was kind of like a wasabi covered peanut had a baby with a lemon curd in the best way possible. Our total bill including 2 glasses of vino (€2-3/glass & a beer was only (€75), which felt like a steal of a deal considering what we would have paid for a meal similar in the states!

Great low-key place for dinner for small groups Service and ambiance were great The hummus and bread starter we got for the table was great and we had to ask for more - it was that good For the entrees our group had the wok duck, pecking chicken, and baby lamb, and everyone was incredibly happy Highly recommend this place and would be happy to come back here anytime

Easily top 3 meals of all time for everyone in my group. A group of college friends and I took a trip to Madrid. This trip also coincided with our anniversaries. We were looking for something with character, Class, and a bit off the beaten path. We found that and so much more here. Local flair with top flight service + insane food quality = the best presentation and over all dining experience of my life. The plate presentation was beautiful. The atmosphere was exquisite and our service staff was on point. What else can I say .... Go eat!!!

Perfect. This place is a must. If you're in town and looking for a place with really great food for a reasonable price Kuoco is definitely for you! We had to make a trip back after our first visit because everything was so good. The service is fantastic, they do speak English, however Spanish is preferred. When a dish is brought to you they tell you how it was prepared and what it is seasoned with. A very lovely dining experience. Every food item that we ordered was PERFECT. I really wish this place was closer to me so I could come back every weekend.

Its cocktail venue is one of Madrid's most subtly invigorating places to drink. In a restaurant scene that is constantly reinventing itself, 'Angelita' doesn't chase trends. It defines its own universe. Finding the bar is part of the experience. Entering through the dining area upstairs, one is guided down an almost secret staircase to what might be called, Center Stage. This is where cocktail magic unfolds in a profound yet personal way. Instantly the house lights soften. A cacophony of curiously muddled voices rises and falls in palpable anticipation of what comes next. In a comfy blend of separate yet united, the bar and restaurant deserve their own spotlights. The menus evolve constantly. Angelita's wine list can reach five hundred bottles. The motif is as thoughtful, expansive, and provocative as the impeccable dishes with which it is paired. Oh, the food! So worthy of distinction, yet we will save it for another review. In the meantime, cherish a seat at the bar. It offers the most captivating view in the house: front-row access to the choreography behind the counter. For it is here where libation artists distill genius from wildly enchanting ingredients. Rather than relying on commercial bottles, Angelita cures and concocts its own spirits and infusions. Many elements are harvested from the family farm. They are rendered, blended, mixed, and tuned in exacting ways as much akin to science labs as gourmet kitchens. Fresh-milled breadworks, savory almonds, fragrant herbs, just-pulled vegetables, and hypnotic botanicals are part of the alchemy. Nothing is off limits if it adds texture, depth, or aroma. The room reinforces this point. Angelita's bar is assembled with a mad scientist's mindset: shelves lined with labeled jars of organic infusions; stainless-steel work surfaces burnished to a mirror-sheen; precision tools that appear to be of surgical grade; and beakers with rubber tubing. And then there is the centerpiece: a rotary evaporator, or "Rotovap", replete with condenser and flask. It is a serious instrument of culinary crafting that signals exactly what Angelita intends: Precision Perfection. The device allows distillation under vacuum at very low temperatures. In practice, this means Angelita can capture and condense fragile aromatics. Citrus peel. Basil. Rustic spices. Floral notes. All without cooking them into acidic bitterness or diluted dullness. What ends up in the glass is absolutely clean, vivid, and true to the original ingredients. Think: flavor in hi-def. Such standards carry through to presentation. The bar serves no ice in any of its drinks. Rather, cocktails arrive in exquisitely chilled glassware to avoid watering-down their preciously procured ingredients. Everything is measured on a digital scale, not rushed through casual pours and bar jiggers. Each offering is intentional. Deliberate. Repeatable. Yet nothing feels clinical because the result is raw and primal pleasure. After the first sip an all-sensory message is received loud and clear: 'This isn't an ordinary cocktail bar.' Angelita's drinks are born on the family farm, expertly developed in a working lab, and refined out in the open for all to witness and savor. Come ready to be mesmerized. Techniques will marvel. Flavors will enchant. Senses will exalt. At Angelita, craft meets captivation as mixologists explain the science that elevates liquid to Life.

When I found out I was coming to Madrid I had to book a table. First things first, my suggestion is book way in advance. This place fills up fast. My friend and I waited too long and the only seating we could get was at 11:15 PM. No big deal though there's plenty of places you can get a light snack in the surrounding area while exploring the city. Walking in, the architecture immediately hits you. Low ceilings, gorgeous old brick, tight dining rooms, it really feels like you stepped back in time. The whole atmosphere is elevated without being stiff. Staff was super friendly and made the experience feel smooth from start to finish. There's also apprently a really nice wine cellar at the bottom I overheard other patrons bragging about. Food wise, I will keep it real, it was good, just not my favorite meal in Madrid. The sangria was solid, definitely one of my highlights. The croquettes were fire. Crispy, creamy, exactly what you want. My friend's seafood casserole was actually really good too, I lowkey wish I went that route. Now the misses. The sautéed vegetables with Iberian ham didn't do it for me. The veggies needed seasoning bad, and the ham leaned a little too salty, so together it just felt off. The suckling pig, the signature dish, was good, but I was not blown away. If I find myself returning here, I would explore other options. After dinner, there was a little show and they let you keep a souvenir menu, which was a nice touch and made the night feel more memorable. Overall I had a solid 3.5 star experience rounded up to 4. Sobrino de Botín is history, it is iconic, and it is worth saying you have been. Just do not expect it to be the best meal of your trip. In fact, our water glass toppled over with one gust of wind. Reservations are recommended, as the place seems popular. The menu features a wide variety of traditional Spanish dishes, and everything we tried was delicious. Our T-bone steak arrived perfectly cooked, served with grilled peppers and sliced golden potatoes, it was simple, flavorful, and satisfying. The squid was also very good, but the standout dish was the asparagus in tempura with almond mayonnaise. Perfectly fried and incredibly light, it was absolutely outstanding. Another highlight was the homemade Iberian ham croquettes served with candied pepper sauce which were creamy and rich on the inside with a delicate crisp on the outside and a wonderful balance of flavor. To accompany the meal, we enjoyed a few glasses of Rioja Azpilicueta Crianza (Tempranillo, Graciano, and Mazuelo, 12 months aging, 2021). It was a bit on the dry side, but helped take the edge off the chilly wind while we sat outside enjoying a late lunch. The staff were friendly and accommodating, even indulging my enthusiasm for photographing the slicing of the Iberian ham. All in all, La Mi Venta delivered a fantastic, authentic Spanish dining experience with great food, good wine, and welcoming service in a charming setting.
