Cheap and good. Venezuelan Colombian and Peruvian dishes. We ordered arepas with Venezuelan sodas. Yum

My friends and I stopped in for Colombian food, and from the first bite, it felt like a warm introduction to the country's rich culinary traditions. We shared the Patacón Pisao Mixto, a beautifully crisp fried plantain topped with tender shredded meat and cheese. The combination of flavors and textures was absolutely delicious. I also enjoyed the sobrebarriga a la plancha, a juicy, flavorful cut of beef served with sauce, rice, potatoes, and a fresh salad. Every element on the plate was well-prepared and comforting without sacrificing flavor. The arepa was equally satisfying and paired perfectly with the meal. For dessert, I ordered the helado de coco, a creamy coconut ice cream topped with strawberry drizzle and crunchy wafer pieces. It was light, refreshing, and the perfect way to end the evening. What I appreciated most was how authentic everything felt. The food was flavorful, the portions were generous, and the experience was shared with good friends around the table. If you're in Madrid and looking to explore Colombian cuisine beyond the usual tourist spots, Patacón Pisao is well worth a visit.

Come for lunch to enjoy what might be the best deal on the east side (way East, like in Spain). However these folks made it across the Atlantic, we're grateful. Pick from a starter, main, and dessert/drink for a "surprisingly low" price. That's right, you can have the giant beef rib and go away happy. Or just get the variety dish (not called that) if you cant decide. All the locals were enjoying that, so how could you go wrong? Sadly I had a post-lunch thing and couldn't grab dessert. I felt like I was leaving money on the table. So don't be like me; try the myriad dulce de leches, or the juices, or the cakes. I'll anticipate the return visit.
