My friends and I stopped in for Colombian food, and from the first bite, it felt like a warm introduction to the country's rich culinary traditions. We shared the Patacón Pisao Mixto, a beautifully crisp fried plantain topped with tender shredded meat and cheese. The combination of flavors and textures was absolutely delicious. I also enjoyed the sobrebarriga a la plancha, a juicy, flavorful cut of beef served with sauce, rice, potatoes, and a fresh salad. Every element on the plate was well-prepared and comforting without sacrificing flavor. The arepa was equally satisfying and paired perfectly with the meal. For dessert, I ordered the helado de coco, a creamy coconut ice cream topped with strawberry drizzle and crunchy wafer pieces. It was light, refreshing, and the perfect way to end the evening. What I appreciated most was how authentic everything felt. The food was flavorful, the portions were generous, and the experience was shared with good friends around the table. If you're in Madrid and looking to explore Colombian cuisine beyond the usual tourist spots, Patacón Pisao is well worth a visit.

I felt like I was leaving money on the table. So don't be like me; try the myriad dulce de leches, or the juices, or the cakes. I'll anticipate the return visit.

The bandeja paisa was huge and everything was delicious, and the sancocho (soup with meat, plantains, avocado, and rice) was perfect for a chilly autumn day. I drank my coconut juice in about 2 minutes. We went on a Sunday afternoon with a reservation-- it was packed, so I would recommend a reservation, especially on a weekend. Despite the amount of people, service was pretty fast and attentive, even with several large groups (including our own) in the restaurant. They also had really nice live music that day, which was definitely an added bonus! They weren't too loud but added to the atmosphere.
