As first dish I had a Patacón de Pollo which I liked and it had a generous portion of meat. As second dish I had a Cerdo Guisado con Arroz y Tajada which was very good as well. Finally, also the Arroz con Leche as postre was tasty. The service is quick and friendly.

Having spent time living in Venezuela, I love finding restaurants that serve their food. I ordered…read moreArepas via a local food delivery service, and was not disappointed. I got the Pabellón (shredded beef with rice, black beans, fried plantains, and an arepa) and the chicken arepa. Both were really good, I'm getting hungry writing this review and thinking about them! Pricing was very reasonable, even after paying for the delivery fee.

They got my order wrong (which is fine with me since I like all arepas but even after I told her she just shrugged and didn't apologize) and their empanadas are terrible too. This was my favorite dinner restaurant while in Madrid! Made reservations for a Sunday evening…read moredinner. Not as many restaurant selections on Sunday nights. Upon arrival, we were immediately seated. There were a few tables near us with couples. Started with a bottle of red wine. Grilled Goat Cheese w/honey vinaigrette and bail pesto-Great starter. Tikka Masala Mussels-Very Good twist on mussels. We had an additional entree, but I couldn't eat another bite. BUT, that didn't stop me from the boozy add-ons... Pina colada sorbet-this was better than the mojito sorbet. Note, be prepared for the addition of Rum to your sorbet. Complimentary amaretto cream Server was attentive and the place remained quiet for a perfect date night.

Some friends recommended me this place and I had faith in it because of that…read more The 2 stars I'm giving here, are not about food quality, cleanliness of the restaurant or because of poor service, it's because, for some reason, Venezuelans think they can charge ridiculous prices for food just because it's a "Venezuelan" restaurant. I'm well aware this is in Malasaña but 16 euros for a roasted chicken and 2 beverages? You gotta be kidding me. Quality-wise I can get the exact same chicken elsewhere for half the price. I sat down and as soon as i saw the prices I just left. Because I`ll rather spend 19 euros on an excellent sirloin steak with french fries and pimientos de piquillo anywhere else than paying 16 euros for a friggin roasted chicken. If you dig the place and the neighborhood and don't care getting charged outrageous prices (even higher than in other venezuelan restaurants) than everywhere else in Madrid, come. It's clean and they are polite.
