This was my first Peruvian culinary adventure, and what an adventure it was! The ceviche had fresh flavors, and the pork tamal was a hearty, flavorful masterpiece. But it was the cocktails that truly stole the show! I'm kicking myself for not jotting down the name of that incredible drink with "tinto" in the name (I'll attach a photo for reference). The friendly staff and friendly atmosphere added to the overall fantastic experience. Kausa is a must-visit for anyone seeking a memorable night of food, drinks, and good company.

I am now happy to share our positive experience: super-friendly staff, explaining all specialties in details and great food, from starters to dessert. We shared yuca sticks wrapped in bacon and baked potato filled with beef, olives and spices. We had then chicken with yellow chili pepper sauce, lamb macerated in coriander and black beer and soup with shrimps, milk, cottage cheese, rice and spices. We had different desserts, all excellent also because not too sweat. We finished with a strong and full of flavor pisco and a perfectly prepared pisco sour. Unfortunately it was impossible to taste all specialties, but we will certainly come back to complete our cooking tour!

The food was super tasty, the pisco sours were good and service was great. Wish we found this place sooner!

The service is not great (but better than their Gran Via location) but the portion sizes and the food certainly more than make-up for it. The portions are enormous! So be careful when ordering - you might just order double what you can eat - it's not really a big problem though because you can just ask to take it to go. They have no problem giving you take out boxes unlike other spots in Madrid. The chicken is their most-ordered dish and it is delicious! It comes with a side of salad, french fries, and two delicious spicy sauces. A large group could eat here very cheaply. All the dishes i've tried here have been great - from the appetizers to the desserts. Sometimes we just sneak in to have one of their huge portions of chocolate cake. It is rich and always cures my sugar cravings. They have all kinds of cakes and pies and vary depending on the day and time of day. If you can get over their lack of customer service, you will certainly be a very happy diner here. I forgot to mention they have delicious smoothies, try one!
