Sadly I am left with hypertrophic scarring following microblading. My last appointment was in April for a touch up 6 weeks after my original appointment. I have no other scars on my body and no skin issues. I have had semi-permanent makeup / tattooing done in the past with no reactions or scars. I was happy with the results at first and even referred people who had the same procedure done. The only thing off was that Michelle came across a bit defensive when I asked questions about the alignment of the drawings done before the procedure, but I overlooked it because we were already busy with the procedure and had it revisited. I followed the post treatment care as advised and as I have done before with semi-permanent makeup done elsewhere. When I noticed something was off (I thought healing was taking long with the itching sensation) I did reach out to Michelle with photos explaining my symptoms and asking advice but she said it had nothing to do with the procedure or pigments used and is probably an allergy. I felt dismissed and knew I was on my own to try and have this remedied if possible. A Dr referred me to a dermatologist and I have since spent $$$$ on cortisol cream, cortisol injections, micro needling with plasma treatment, silicone ointment and silicone bandages. The next step is possibly laser or surgical removal which will leave me with another permanent scar or permanent loss of eyebrows in those areas, but hopefully a flattened scar seems to be the best I can hope for. I recently had my eyebrows micro bladed by Michelle and I'm very happy with the result. As a redhead with blonde eyebrows and eyelashes, I was very nervous but interested in microblading. While Michelle did say she had experience with redheads, when she saw me in person, apparently I was the first redhead she had worked with that had my type of coloring. I believe this led to a better experience as we worked pretty closely to figure out the right color. Michelle answered my questions both in person and over email very promptly. Would not recommend for Hydrafacial services. It took her approximately 15 minutes for a procedure that should take no less than 45, did not follow all of the steps and seemed to be very uneducated as to what a Hydrafacial was. I left very unsatisfied in the $220 I just spent on what is supposed to be a luxurious skin resurfacing procedure. This is my response to the owners response to my first review. I'm not certain how to respond publicly to your response so I would like to answer here instead. Perhaps you shouldn't be surprised as I'm certain I'm not the only client of yours that has not been neither satisfied or happy with the service. I did not once tell you I loved them. After trying to communicate that they didn't look right to me and you told me brows are sisters not twins....recall? I agreed that maybe after they healed I would like them. I was being kind as it seems you don't appreciate clients opinions and I was being pushed out the door for your next client. The reason I rescheduled was a family emergency and after that and getting others opinions I decided that if you unable to do the job you promised once then it could easily happen again. Based on the appearance of my brows I didn't want to take that chance. As for my appointment with you? I had communicated the minute I met you that your representatives told me it was a consultation only and when I asked if my brows would be done after the consult they replied we will see if she can SQUEEZE you in as mentioned in my original review. You told me you blocked off 3 hours for me in a way that made me feel bad that you would lose that time and against my better judgement I trusted you to do a good job. You did not. My brows had been done 5 or more years ago and if there was any ink left it was faded, and very little left and it was not blue. I asked you also about the pigments you used to assure they wouldn't turn blue and you assured me....yet they are a very blue gray that I now have to pencil even darker to cover. I should have posted a review much sooner but life beckons. Also regarding the price, when I left you tried to charge me full price and I had to tell you AGAIN that it was a Facebook special. Not to mention I planned on using care credit and you told me at the appointment I couldn't because you needed to know in advance and I didn't see that posted anywhere on your website and was not informed by your representatives. My interactions with your company were unprofessional at best from the first experience. I can assure you nothing is going on with me except that I finally took the time after looking at my terribly done eyebrows day after day to warn others so they don't end up like me. It's nothing personal Michelle I just don't think it's right to pay for a service and end up worse off. I work very hard for my money and obviously it was wasted. Not a good feeling. Yikes! I decided to try out a lash lift/tint for the first time and during the treatment, I noticed a significant amount of burning around my eyes. I let my beautician know, but she said it was normal. I rushed off to my next commitment after the appointment, thinking the burning feeling would subside. When I arrived to my next location and got to a mirror, I found a significant chemical burn on my left eyelid and leftover glue in my lashes and dye around my eyes. My lashes near the burned spot are also mangled looking and no longer able to stand up correctly, like they were squished or over-processed during the lift. What started as - what I thought was - a good experience, ended up being a damaging one, and now I have a red/inflamed left eyelid with a chemical burn that needs healing. Unfortunately cannot recommend. read more

I don't even know where to begin. Firstly, I'm not the type of person to write a nasty review when something is slightly off, but the attitude and hostility of this woman need to be noted. I went in for a lash perm/ tint. I expressed that my eyes were in pain (horrible stinging to the point of me wanting to rip off whatever she put on them) to which she responded that i'm simply "too sensitive" and that this kind of stinging is normal (can't imagine what is normal about feeling like i'm about to go blind) but I continued for probably another minute until it was so unbearable I had to ask her to remove it. I'm not sure if my eyes are simply too sensitive for this kind of treatment but that's not what matters to me. What matters is the fact that while she was removing it, she's simply being mean, for lack of a better word. Telling me that i'm not normal and that it's weird that i'm reacting this way. She refused to tint them because I reacted poorly to the lash perming solution and basically implied that i'm a little bitch for not being able to tolerate it. She didn't apologize for the fact that I was in pain and she didn't try to suggest something to do about it. She dumped contact solution in my eyes and was impatient with me when I (for whatever reason) tried to apologize. I felt super bullied by her. As a 19 year old, it doesn't feel good to have an older person act in such a manner towards you. I left the store with my mom crying my eyes out because I felt like shit about myself and I took her rude attitude personally. I will NEVER go back there. She did however wax my eyebrows, which now look good. But my eyes are still very irritated (redness and stinging) and I don't feel at all good about myself. I hope nobody else ever experiences this type of hostile environment when they're going to do a procedure to improve their confidence. read more

I went to Michelle for permanent make-up/eyeliner and I'm SO excited that I did. I am 2 weeks post-appointment and the lines are fading into a nice, natural-looking enhancement to frame my eyes. I had a hard time tolerating the process and was quite squirmy, but Michelle handled it and worked with me, finding ways to calm my nervous system and stay more still so she could work. She gave me some tips on how to better prepare my nerves for next time as well, so that was very helpful. I started emailing Michelle (whom I found via a simple google search) to get my eyebrows tattooed. From the beginning, she was very pushy (I didn't respond overnight one time and got an email the next morning asking me what I had decided to do even though I said I'll think about it). I should've followed my gut, but I went anyway. The place is in a shady strip mall in boulder, but the salon itself looked alright when you walk in. However, the room where the procedure gets done looked unsanitary to say the least. The sheet had color stains on it (or blood, who knows), and the sheet is ripped and old, and so are the towels. She asked me a few questions about what I wanted, but didn't get into too many details and said she'll check in continuously throughout the procedure, which she did, but only when it was too late. From the get go, my brows were much higher than where they should've started; she didn't use a template or anything. When I expressed my concern, she said she'll fix it but didn't. By that point it was too late. When I said that's not how I wanted them and they didn't look the same, she made it sound like I was being crazy and seeing things she doesn't see. When I reiterated the shape I wanted, she expressed disgust and surprise at why I would want something like that (I don't know, because it's my face?) I left and was so dissatisfied that I couldn't even go to work the next day. I emailed her with my concern and she was accommodating and had me back 2 days later. She tried to "erase" some of the work, but ended up creating awful reddish brown lines that looked like scars, which are permanent now. I figured out that she really has no idea what she's doing and I asked for a refund, which she gave me. I used that refund to get my brows fixed (but had to wait 6 full weeks, during which most of the ink fell out and I was left with gray, ashy, scattered brows). If you want precise work, do not go there. She is very sloppy and doesn't really care. I'm in the process of reporting her to the Board of Cosmetology and the BBB. read more

Michelle does an incredible job on eyebrows and lashes! I've been in the fence for a couple of years about microblading of my eyebrows. I am so glad I went to see Michelle. She did a fabulous job and they look so natural and really frame my face. They make a huge difference overall. What's more I had my eyelashes lifted and tinted. I've never been a natural girl but the permanent make up really makes a difference on the days I don't want to bother with makeup. Also my lashes look longer than with extensions. Last thing I'll say Michelle sells a product that works better than Latisse growing eyelashes. And such a cute boutique, too! read more

Michelle has always done a great job and I recommend her for these procedures. The salon is behind the 29th Street Mall, near Best Buy. It is an older strip mall, but certainly not in a bad area...as one reviewer suggested. Cost is reasonable, and Michelle is always punctual! I have never had to 'wait' because she had not finished with a previous client...I really like this this and it shows she has the utmost respect for her clients and their time. I recently found Michelle through a google search. I had just moved to Boulder and wanted to get my brows shaped, tinted, and to have my eyelashes tinted as well. I was pleased with the job Michelle had done and she seemed very pleasant & professional. It was also relatively reasonable in price- about the same as my old salon in Denver. So a good experience overall, in fact, I am a bit surprised to read some of the negative experiences on here. I would definitely go back and am planning to. She also has really cute fashion and jewelry designs, which I was impressed with (and I am not hippy-dippy as the clothes were suggested to be by one reviewer). After reading all the reviews it seems like the beauty spot is the place to go for your skin care needs. Recently a group of us went to get our make-up done. I was a bit disappointed with the final product. If you are looking to get your make up done I wouldn't say this is the best place in Boulder. Heads up if you got a living social for microneedling...she charged me $50 more then the $99 living social because she said that it was a different machine...that the LS was for a roller. I did not see anything about the roller or I would not have purchased the Living Social... So beware! read more

I had permanent makeup done for both my eyelids and eyebrows last summer, and I am very satisfied. Michelle did an excellent job, was very reliable, confident, obviously experienced, and prompt. I felt really comfortable in her hands. She is down-to-earth which I really appreciate in a person. If you're looking for touchy-feely she may not be your style. My one and only bit of feedback would be that I think she might consider offering a satisfaction guarantee, just let's say for a month or so...I went back 2 weeks after my 2-week "touch-up" for a little more on my upper lids, and she charged me extra because she said I should've known at the time that I wanted more. But from my standpoint, my eyelids were so swollen & my eyes so watery from the treatment that I couldn't fairly tell the final result, plus there's a change that occurs over a period of a couple of weeks. That said, I have absolutely no other complaints and I will definitely go back to Michelle whenever I may need further work. read more

Michelle, I had been searching to do microblading for about 6 months, I even contemplated going all the way to Chino, California where they have a school that teaches that technique, one of the first in the US... I gave up on the search, finally the beginning of the year 2017 I decided to look again in hopes of finding one in Colorado... I came to her website thanks to Google like most, decided to give it a shot, emailed her she had an opening the next day... I went and the place was literally the PERFECT most intimate location very clean and well kept loved the colors... Michelle is so sweet and understanding of my needs and wants, she was so patient with me, the pain was tolerable and she was very gentle... I went in the second time she used a new color she wanted to try out I trusted her and they came out great, I loved the color she picked she gave me options and advice on what to get, I chose the shape I drew it on myself she gave me the pencil to kind of give her an idea of the shape and she was so sweet about it...
