Farmer's Chicken Cobb
Alex W.

The restaurant itself is really lovely, with a beautiful interior that creates a great atmosphere. We visited on an afternoon before a holiday weekend. It was busy but not overwhelmingly packed, which made the experience even more surprising. I'm not sure if they were understaffed, but the service was some of the worst I've experienced in a long time. It wasn't just our table either, I noticed several other tables repeatedly trying to flag down their servers. Our food took an exceptionally long time to arrive, and the pacing was off. Our appetizer came out, and then our entrées followed just a couple of minutes later, making the appetizer feel like an afterthought. As for the food, everything was just okay, but nothing really stood out. The mahi blackened tacos had potential, but the tortillas were a little stale, which took away from the dish. Overall, the beautiful space wasn't enough to make up for the disappointing service and underwhelming food. I hope this was just an off day, because the restaurant itself has a lot of potential.

We really enjoyed dinner here last night. The service was attentive and friendly. The space is large and dramatic, in a very upscale barn kind of way, with a lot of oversized chandeliers and art, and the main dining room has several booths that are basically couches, which is also nice. It is also completely accessible for people who can't do stairs, which was very helpful for one member of our party. The food was very good. We got the flaming crab dip to start, which was good crab dip, but a little underwhelming. Basically, the waiter uses a kitchen torch to light a layer of brandy, which is on top of the cheese, on fire and then serves it to you once the flame has died out. I can't say it really added anything to the experience, but the waiter was very excited about it. The fried green tomatoes were excellent. They were topped with a tangy and spicy cherry pepper relish and were just delightful. The seared tuna salad and snakebite pasta were quite good, but the star meal was the chicken pot pie. I've never seen a meal disappear so fast. A few things to consider: 1) Happy hour is only at the bar and on the patio. 2) It is almost impossible to get a human being on the phone. Instead you will speak to an AI robot who may or may not be able to answer your questions. 3) Parking in the Rotunda is kind of a nightmare. Be prepared to use the parking garage. 4) Most of the fish is farmed. 5) The back corner tables near the wine room are directly on top of the a/c unit, and it shakes the floor periodically.

This is my most favorite restaurant chain in Maryland so I was pleasantly surprised to see that a new location had opened up when my cousin and I visited this weekend. Cydney was an amazing waitress whose recommendation for the special of the day was nothing short of amazing! The fried flounder and grits were superb and the chocolate cafe was even better. This was a great end to my birthday celebration this month. Thank you and we will return!

Definently a great place to dine. Arrived here and the staff was awesome. From the time we entered we felt welcomed. We were given an option as far as seating. We chose outdoor but, it was closed in and windows open. It was a beautiful day out. We were seated as soon as we arrived. I chose a cybernetic sauvignon as my drink. Crab dip as an appetizer and a seafood pasta as my meal. Complimentary biscuits were served and they were delicious. This was a very comfortable place to dine. The food was pretty tasty. Me personally would have enjoyed a side of old bay to add to my food but, I didn't request any. Totally my fault. I would definitely like to come back and try the brunch that they offer. Check it out if in the area. I don't think you would be disappointed at all.

We went within a week of opening. I suppose they'll work out some of the service kinks in time, but the food prep should be figured out. I got the pot pie. Flavors were good. Crust was flaky. But the filling was a little loose.

The wings were okay but tasted frozen

Barn and lodge has a great ambiance, amazing service and super sweet staff. I love the new location in the rotunda for the convenience but I do hope that with time the food may improve. Cocktails were delicious and well balanced but all of the food felt bland even the pizza. I would return to give them another try and giving them the benefit of the doubt that this is just due to their recent opening

The service was excellent!! The place was clean, beautiful ambiance, food was hot and fresh. We went for brunch all you can eat $48pp, they also have an unlimited mimosas price. Food was delicious, all of it. Great choice for family! I will be going back! Very classy, and nice!

Risotto is a work in progress the flavors are on point Seafood cooked perfectly.

So I want to give this a better review but 24hrs later I need to be honest. I'll start with the Crab dip the Only issue with this is how the plate was presented it was great. Risotto flavor perfect Seafood perfect. Risotto work in progress the season was good but the pasta should have been cooked longer so some of the Risotto was undercooked. Now the Market price steak was fantastic cooked perfectly but then it was served with soggy fries and when the cost is market price everything should be perfect. Lastly our server things started well but half way through our meal the pace of the restaurant picked up and the server ignored us and focused on a larger table by the fireplace. All in all this place is worth a visit and we plan to go back but not on a Saturday night until the staff and Kitchen are better prepared to deal with a Saturday rush.

Come on in

The new Barn and Lodge at the Rotunda has only been open about a month. But it is a fabulous restaurant. The decor and service are impeccable. As you can see from the pictures it has great interior design. Everywhere that you look is pleasing to the eye. The food was good as should be expected from such a classy place. The serving sizes are fat boy happy or have good lunch tomorrow. The only drawback was the green beans. Parking is at a premium because of Rotunda. So get there early or circle until you find a spot. It is just across the parking lot from the Warehouse cinema. So dinner and a movie is a plan. To start off their version of Brussels Sprouts had a honey mustard glaze and was well cooked. The biscuits are made from scratch. And yes they are better than your grandma and that red crustacean place. Even the iced tea was superb. Including fresh blueberries and lemon. You could make a meal and die happy off of the tea and biscuits alone. The braised short rib came with green beans and mashed potatoes. But it was very good. Snakebite is a Cajun creamy jambalaya pasta dish I was both spicy and creamy. The chicken, breast, large shrimp and spicy andouille sausage were well seasoned. Shrimp is tail on. The whole dish was very good. The pasta was freshly made that morning in house with those fantastic biscuits. You have been warned though it is spicy. They have a buffet brunch on Sunday. So I am planning a return soon. You will be happy that you went there. The bar has tvs. Maybe I can talk them into making some wings ro watch a game.

We showed up for a reservation but had to wait. The staff was nice and gave us a complimentary charcuterie board. Tavern board (charcuterie board) - was really good. Nice spread of salami and cheese. It's a nice precursor to the main meal Roasted oysters- tasted fresh. There's extra condiments on top, I thought was excessive Oyster pie- pretty interesting. Oyster was fresh, the crust of pie was good. I would skip next time Hog neck clams-really good. Tasted fresh. The real winner was the sauce. The complimentary bread was used to soak up the sauce. The sauce was so so good. I would get this again for the sauce. Fish and chips- cooked very well. Great presentation. Scallops - were exquisite and cooked perfectly. My friend who had this dish raved about how good it was.

We've been here for casual date nights, Valentine's dinner, and the last time we came was for our friends renewing their vows after 10 years of marriage. That alone says a lot about the kind of place it is. It fits both everyday moments and really meaningful ones. What stands out first is the atmosphere. There's a warmth to the space that makes it feel inviting right away. It has a rustic, polished look with a lot of character, but it never feels stiff or overly formal. It's the kind of place where you can tell thought was put into every detail, but it still feels comfortable enough to settle in and enjoy yourself. For me, the experience starts before the food even hits the table. The space has a calm, intentional energy to it. It's perfect for slowing things down and actually enjoying your time, especially with someone you care about. The food is where it really separates itself. Everything feels carefully prepared and well thought out. You can tell they care about ingredients, and that always comes through in the flavor. Nothing feels thrown together or generic. The menu itself gets you excited before you even order, and the food lives up to it. What I appreciate most is that it doesn't just feel like a place serving food, it feels like a place creating an experience. The dishes have personality. There's intention behind them. It's not about being flashy, it's about doing things right. The service adds to that as well. Every time we've gone, the staff has been friendly, knowledgeable, and attentive without hovering. It makes the whole experience feel smooth and relaxed. Another thing I like is that it feels distinctly Baltimore without feeling ordinary. It has a real identity to it, and that makes it memorable. My wife and I keep coming back because it feels like time well spent. Good food, great atmosphere, and the kind of place that actually stays with you after you leave. Overall, this is easily one of the more memorable dining experiences in Baltimore. Definitely worth it if you're looking for something that feels meaningful, not just another night out.

Oddly enough, it was pretty quiet, but they do have the games on for anyone looking for a low-key spot to watch. We were seated within 5 minutes, which I appreciated. Our server, Patrick, was... okay. Not terrible, but definitely felt new to serving. We didn't get the rundown of the daily specials (yet overheard them being given to the booth behind us), and a few small service details slipped through--but I'm giving him grace based on his newness. One thing I noticed from Yelp reviews is that bread is usually served automatically. We had to request it, especially after seeing tables seated after us get theirs first. Not a dealbreaker, but noticeable. We ordered several appetizers, and honestly, they were filling enough to be a full meal: * Ribs - Flavorful, tender, and genuinely falling off the bone. The portion sizes were a bit inconsistent--some pieces were cut shorter than others--but the texture was on point. I'd definitely return for these. * Brussels Sprouts - Patrick didn't mention they were shareable, which would've been helpful. I did like the flavor, but in hindsight I'm glad we pivoted to... * Crab Dip - This one missed for me. The flavor leaned more tuna-ish than crab-forward. Not my preference, but you may feel differently. * Shrimp in Spicy Butter - Definitely spicy, but somehow still flavorless. More like spicy water than a seasoned butter sauce. The one bonus? They were served piping hot--exactly how I like my food. * French Fries - Hand-cut and tasty. A solid win. Unfortunately, everything except the shrimp came out lukewarm, which took away from dishes that could've been great. Temperature matters! On the drink side, though? Hits all around. The fresh-pressed beet juice was fantastic, and the sweet tea was also on point. We skipped dessert only because we were full, but I'm already planning to come back specifically to try it--along with the ribs and fries again. Overall, I'm hoping this was just an off day. Elliott's Kitchen has potential, and I'd like to see it shine on the next visit
