There's an interesting vibe to this place, and it feels a little like a basement (no windows), but there are cute murals on the walls. It was pretty busy, but we were able to order at the counter pretty quickly. Food came out after about 15 minutes and was delicious (and vegan!). I am a meat lover, but the tofu was marinated so well on the Banh Mi, that I didn't even notice it was meatless. My friend got the buffalo tofu sandwich and liked it. You get the bright crisp and briny veggies , solid and surprisingly meaty like tofu all wrapped up in a nice soft bread. I really enjoyed my first visit to The Bark. I tried one of their specials and it was delicious it was called the "Stefan Laid An Egg." My husband tried the "Sloppy Jose" and we enjoyed in addition to the roasted potatoes which were super tasty. We weren't thrilled by the cocktail we ordered, but the young lady who made our drink was very gracious in trying to provide something that we liked. Ultimately, we ended up with a rum and Coke. It was a strong pour. So I can't be mad at that. I will definitely return. I hear their veggie burgers are delicious, possibly the best in town. So I'll have to return to try them! read more

Came here for brunch for the first time and I really enjoyed the menu options. The server/cashier was very friendly and welcoming and there was a perfect amount of people in the restaurant. Very cute and comfortable vibe. I got the Biscuit bowl and it was very yummy, the gravy is very creamy and the biscuit is very flaky and soft, while the choice of vegetables is very fitting for the dish. The chicken sandwich special was very good, the biscuit and "chicken" was the perfect texture and flavor. The stars and stripes dish has a nice teriyaki/bbq sauce really brought together the dish and the tempeh bacon was crispy and smoky. Ok so this is literally the most insane restaurant it's so good. I recommend at least once a day to people. The oyster mushroom po boy with potato's is what I get and I would marry that sandwich. Bàhn Mí is hands down my favorite sandwich. I'm from Orange County California where we have Little Saigon. Anytime I see it on a menu I will RUN for it. I was visiting my son, and came across The Bark. It looked so good- then I saw Bàhn mí, and ordered it for pickup. The salads looked right up my ally so I added it as well. Text said 1:15 pick up. They arrived a little after and were told there wasn't an order placed. I sent the SS, and then they said oh it did come through, but we haven't started it. It'll be about 20 minutes. (Now we are about 1:45) they got home after 2:00. The kitchen salad was VERY small, barely filled the to go container. Although it was EXTREMELY delicious. The balsamic dressing was chefs kiss! If I ever went back, that's all I would get. The sandwich was extremely disappointing. The bread was similar to what you would get at Subway, very soft and lots of bread. The Bàhn Mí bread is truly the main part. Then on the inside, the Ingredients were all there, but BARELY any at all. It was basically Bread with a few things inside. I took 2 bites and was done. The inside is decorated pretty nicely and the people who take your order are extremely sweet. But above all, the food is AMAZING! So far, I've had both the Sausage Papillon & the Buffalo Tofu (both with a side of herb roasted potatoes). As someone who has had his fair share of extremely bland black bean burgers, being able to find somewhere that offers flavorful and exciting plant-based food is a rarity. Some of you who came to the Yelp page about The Bark who are not vegetarian and vegan may be tempted to skip them. Don't! For you, The Bark is also an outstanding restaurant. They serve brunch on the weekends starting at 11:00 which allows you an opportunity to try both their brunch and regular menus. We had their Tofu Bahn Mi sand which from the regular menu and the Sweet Breaky breakfast biscuit. The Bahn Mi is their signature dish and it simply exceptional. In addition to the tofu, it comes with all of the traditional Bahn Mi fixings and a not so traditional peanut sauce. But the combination works and it is an incredibly satisfying sandwich. The Sweet Breaky features a split buttermilk biscuit topped with jam, spinach (normally arugula) and 2 eggs (we chose sunny side up). You may think that jam has no place in this biscuit, but you'd be wrong (IMHO). The total combination is sublime and makes for one of the tastiest breakfast dishes you'll find anywhere. I was interested in the vegetarian sausage gravy, made from house-made vegetarian sausage, so I ordered a side of it. Wow! It was amazing, so much so that I was eating straight from the bowl. My first visit to The Bark this morning. A nice little Vegetarian/Vegan restaurant tucked in off Gaines Street on All Saints. Definitely a cute little cafe. My first impression is that their counter service needs some attention. It took a while to order because there was one person taking orders and making drinks. However, the food was entirely worth the wait. There are several menu brunch options including tempeh bacon, tofu eggs, grit cakes, roasted potatoes and more. I ordered fried scrambled eggs topped with cheddar, roasted potatoes, and grit cakes. Everything tasted absolutely delicious! The roasted potatoes were slightly undercooked but still had a lot of flavor. The grit cakes were a pleasant surprise. They were made with polenta and had little bits of jalapeno, just a total delight. My friends ordered a biscuit with jam and a fried egg and spinach, and it looked amazing! So I know what I will be getting the next time I come. While I do not consider myself vegetarian, I will definitely be back for brunch! read more

The Bark is such a hidden gem in Tallahassee. Located on All Saints st, It's easy to find because of its colorfully painted exterior and the inside is just as cute. The walls are filled with vibrant murals and eclectic decorations. The place is pretty big inside there's a full bar and dining area with indoor and outdoor seating. The menu isn't huge but all of the food is delicious and full of flavor. They also feature a few different specials each day. They offer vegan/ vegetarian food, but it's yummy enough that people who aren't vegan/ vegetarian will still enjoy it. My favorite item on the menu is the Tofu Bahn Mi.. the tofu is perfectly crispy and the sauce is delicious with a little kick. The prices are pretty reasonable and the food will leave you full and satisfied. They are open late and host events such as comedy shows and karaoke. As many have previously mentioned, the Bark is just a larger manifestation of its previous self serving up all the same scrumptiousness it did in its past life. Many of the OG menu items remain the same (shout out to my soul mates: the Banh Mi, the beet burger, the Asian tofu salad etc.), and their specials continue to be seasonal treats that never disappoint (think Oyster Mushroom Poboy, Roasted Red Pepper and Tomato Bisque, vegan cookies that you can tell yourself are healthy to justify eating 10 because they';re so dang good etc.). Their new lewk is pretty awesome and makes me feel like I'm in an episode of Rocko's Modern Life. Homemade decor including pastels and wonky wall murals are as tasty and creative as the menu. I've been going to the bark since I moved to Tallahassee for school, and have never managed to get a picture of my food because of how fast I scarf it down! The bark is my absolute favorite restaurant in Tallahassee! Their live music and comedians are exceptional. I've never had a meal at the bark that I didn't like. They have a great daily menu, their specials are always delicious! I used to go to the bark at least once a week in college and always had great service and food! The bark also has a magnificent brunch menu, that I've never managed to take pictures of either. The bark is absolutely the best for vegans, non vegans, whoever! read more

So I had the Bark deliver food to my office so I cannot say anything about the location, service, decor, etc but I can certainly comment on the food. We ordered a bunch of grilled cheese, black beam burgers and their potatoes. Everything was delicious. The potatoes were definitely seasoned well and had a great texture. It's an absolute sin I haven't left a review for The Bark until now. I've never eaten with here with any less than a party of six and they've always made us feel welcome and served our food in pretty good time. I truly hope to eat my way through their entire menu before I die because there's not a damn thing I've eaten here that isn't freakin' delicious. My fellow foodies have raved about their banh mi and it's just one of the many things I have to try from them. Every single time I come here I leave incredibly impressed. At vegetarian/vegan restaurants I find it is often the case that you have to know what on the menu is good in order to have a satisfying experience. Not the case at the Bark. I've tried almost the entire menu and it is all absolutely fabulous. I always order the special now which is constantly changing and it's always great. It's clear they put a lot of thought and care and creativity into high quality ingredients and awesome flavor combinations. The servers are also really great in recommending things and are super nice. I LOVE the Tofu Bahn Mi for a dish that's on the normal menu. The Fuji slaw, kale, and potatoes are all great sides. The buffalo tofu sandwich is also a favorite of mine. Any of their Po' boys, their tacos, and their Italian dishes have been excellent on special. ALSO I almost never order dessert at a restaurant but these are also off the hook at The Bark. Decent beer selection and fun cocktails as well.
