Oooh my god! Friday morning, day after Thanksgiving, instead of black Friday shopping with the crazies, I decided to workout and give this place a try. And, I would like to say, I got my ass handed to me. Oh hell no! But! It felt soOooo good, so hell yeah!? *confused*
After reading all the awesome reviews here on Yelp, I went to their website, did a little research of my own. I found that they offer a 1 time free session, so I went ahead and signed up for it. :D Yay for freeee!
I called in 3 days before attending the class, the receptionist over the phone was very nice and friendly. Informed of what it is I needed to bring in, what the dress code was. I reserved a spot for a 10 am class.
The instructor for that morning was Jen, she was very nice and personable, came up to me and asked for my name before class started. Its a nice touch. But also embarrassing for me when I kept messing up and she keeps calling out my name, correctly my moves. *-* *blush*
Goodness, while I was doing w/e I was told, right/left feet straight facing the wall. Don't arch your back, relax your shoulders. Doing reps of 10, the last 2 sets would be sprints. I was shaking, my legs felt like jelly. It looked so ugly, I couldn't careless of what other people thought of me. That moment, I knew that this only proves that I am SUPERly out of shape. *shake head* I believe I should take this as a hint to come here more to whip myself in shake.
Classes I believe generally run 1 hour, but when you are in there, time passes by so quickly. It is literally flying. By the time I noticed where the clock was (located above the door), it was already time to go. Wowzers!
Note:
Dress code: always wear socks, if you wear shorts you have to wear leggings are tights underneath. Don't want to be flashing people now.
They also have a storage/locker room area, where you are allowed to put your belongings in. The little storage unit comes with a key of its own.
For parking, I parked my car in the Delacy parking lot. It was walking distances from where I was parked. This parking lot offers 90 minutes free parking, it is located next to Green St., behind Melting Pot, Kabuki, etc.
Its been a few days now, and I still feel the burn in the areas that I worked out. As much as I would love to complain about how sore I am, I love it as well. I am now considering signing up for the $100 for first time customer deal. The $100 deal is for unlimited sessions within 1 month. I will also keep and eye out for Yelp, Glitz City, Groupon deals as well.
Classes may be on the pricier end, but nonetheless totally worth it. Will definitely be back soon, hopefully as soon as this coming Tuesday. read more
