[[HIGHLIGHT]]Tucked in the industrial section of Cutting Blvd, the backyard is worth a weekend stop. From the gravelled parking lot to the old sofas, live music, and a food trailer on what was once an abandoned lot, I loved this family- and dog-friendly spot. There are even games in the yard.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] A real surprise was the food. I had the avocado toast it was tasty, I would order it again. When I tasted the beef Philly I was ready to order one to go, but they had sold out. The rest of my friends had burgers, the vegetarian had fries, even the dog had a pup patty, and everyone enjoyed the food [[HIGHLIGHT]]The music was almost too loud; however, because the stage is outside, it was not too uncomfortable. We heard two different bands. The loud music did make it hard to have a conversation.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]A word of warning that does not affect my rating: bees and yellow jackets are everywhere. There is nothing that the Backyard can do to keep these pests out of the yard.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This was my very first visit, after being a MB resident for over 2 decades. [[HIGHLIGHT]]I loved the vibe, the usage of the area is nice, and furniture is all outdoor chilling patio furniture.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Meal was tasty, Bay Area prices, crunchy tots Thing is--- when my brother found this disgusting long hair that he had to literally remove from the bread and protein (they did refund him the item), I then looked through the rest of his burger as he went up to complain. Upon departing after lunch, a male actually implied that WE were the ones who planted it. We were both stunned and in dismay from the interaction, and I now am left to really deliberate whether I will return. I can't believe that he said no one on his staff had that kind of hair. Already disgusting enough to have to pull loose the long hair, and it made me mildly nauseous! [[HIGHLIGHT]]PS I do love the vegan option, the sale of spirits and beer, and the presence of family games that can be played on the premises.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Found this just scrolling yelp and I was so impressed! Tots and fries were just like animal fries so good! The marina burger with goat cheese avacado and bacon was absolutely amazing 10/10 recommend!! [[HIGHLIGHT]]The live music was a vibe and of course who can resist a game of cornhole?[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I definitely recommend checking this place out I'll be back in the summer for sure [[HIGHLIGHT]]also super dog and kid friendly they also had a small free library[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

Real nice good for any day. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Family friendly and the drinks are really good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Good music!![[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

This place is great to bring your dogs and kids after a hike. There was a playground area for kids to play on and all seating is outdoors so you can hang out with your dogs. They also had a dj playing when I came on a Sunday. Burgers were very filling and tasty. Beers available but it was only canned options. Would love to come back and try other food options.

Food was good. Burger was smashed burger. But too oily. I only realized that afterwards, when my tummy hurt. Service was awesome. Ordered at window and picked up at another. [[HIGHLIGHT]]The ambience and space is awesome.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] I love the set up and of course the guava beer! I did not like the garlic fries, it was too much parmesan and too little garlic.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Awesome little spot tucked away from the ghetto-ish-ness of Richmond.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]Fully fenced around, live music on a Sunday the girl was good.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The burgers are good, nice and flavorful. The French fries were crispy (big plus). Maybe a tiny pricey (20 bucks for a double burger) but it was a good time. the service was super quick got our food within minutes. [[HIGHLIGHT]]We brought our dogs. Lots of people bring their kids to run around[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

I usually am never in this area, but we decided to come here after biking. I've always heard great things about this place and since it was fairly nice out on a winter day, we decided to enjoy the outdoors. This is a very family-friendly environment, which I've noticed right off the bat when I saw other families and kids there. The area itself seems a little sketch, but right when we walked inside, we felt the warm welcome. It was karaoke going on during the time we went, so it seemed like there were a lot of regulars, and there were kids and adults singing, which was very cute. There are a lot of games to keep the little ones occupied while the adults enjoy a beverage. We got some beers and mimosas to start off with. For food, we got the Backyard Burger, The Point Molate Salad, Hamburger and wild fries. All of the food was pretty tasty and the staff was great. The karaoke host was especially welcoming. I look forward to gathering all my friends and kids and coming back for a day out on a sunny day. It is a great place to connect with family and friends while enjoying great food and a cold beverage.

First off this might be one of the best burgers I've ever had, secondly [[HIGHLIGHT]]very nice ambience.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] We got the Maria Bay Burger and Wild Tots and it was amazing. The staff was incredible, Jannette was super chill! Would highly recommend!

What a hidden gem! Cute outdoor area and perfect when it's a hot summer day. Richmond can get cold so definitely bring a jacket. The parking lot is on dirt/rocky area. Their bathrooms are situated just outside, except not a porta-potty. The vibe is cozy. Nice background music, a little stage, and some games set up for anyone to play. They serve beer and burgers mostly. The service is self-serve and you pick up the food once the pager goes off. The food is delicious! Probably one of the best burgers I've had. They have hanging lights and things so I bet at night it's pretty too. We got too cold since we didn't bring jackets so didn't stay to see the sun go down. This is definitely on my list to return too. I hope to come back when they have live music too.

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Such a cute little hidden gem in Richmond.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I was surprised how big the place is and how it actually feels like a backyard party.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] The food was actually really good as well a little pricey but tasty. The staff was very friendly as well.

This is such a wonderful local spot. The food is wonderful and [[HIGHLIGHT]]the outdoor space is lovely.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]There is frequently live music and the garden is great.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Great gluten free options! 10/10 would recommend.

I really wanted to like this place. I'd walked by several times and loved the interior design, and the videos on Instagram made it seem like such a great spot. I stopped in one evening by myself, ordered a glass of wine and the warm olives (which were delicious), and was looking forward to a relaxing night. Unfortunately, the service was the biggest disappointment. The restaurant was packed, and the atmosphere felt more concerned with maintaining an image than making guests feel welcome. I understand some restaurants embrace a more reserved European style of service, but this came across as cold and pretentious rather than intentional hospitality. As a solo diner especially, I didn't feel acknowledged or valued as a guest. It also didn't help that the dining room had a noticeable body odor smell that took away from the experience. On a positive note, the bathroom was clean and beautifully designed. I originally thought this would become my go-to place to grab a glass of wine while waiting for a table at the ramen spot next door, but unfortunately that wasn't the case. Reading through other reviews, it seems I'm not the only one who had this impression. Oakland's charm has always been its people. You can open a French-inspired wine bar, but hospitality translates into every language. If you're going to bring a Parisian aesthetic to Oakland, don't mistake indifference for sophistication. Guests should leave feeling welcomed, not judged.

Kayaks, yachts, bikes, wind surfing fishing and a a slew of casual fun and funky eateries cropping up. It's been a few years since Noel warmly welcomed us "neighbors" into his establishment, prior to officially opening. Through the ups n Downs of Covid and him finding his business legs, we've happily supported this spot, meeting his entire family in the process. Well he is still sweet and humble but.... Busy! I mean as in this organic wine thing is... a big THING! I hi knew??? Apparently Noel did! He's graduated from the curious neighbors and locals featuring his Purity wines, to coop with a dedicated following of passionate organic wine makers and their entourage of fans , Friends devotees; restauranteurs, and media moguls all centered around the notion of organic wines aka a cast of thousands! Damn grapes never had it so good. Case and point Point now following his Instagram account lead by his bike riding enthusiast protege, Tyler, the Study hosted a massive event last weekend. We didn't plan to attend but were curious and anxious to see if it was a success or a bust. The event By the way featured more than 20 wine makers, there was food fun music and when we drove by as nosy neighbors, we heard the music pumping. Wow the crowd was massive! Standing room only spilling onto the drive way and garage bay. Of course the crowd was typical Bay Area, ethnically diverse hip, smart and totally having a blast! You may be wondering why we didn't go? We have a puppy who is bat shit cray cray. He loves people so much he would be all over anyone who say ah cute puppy and mayhem would be the result! Not to mention the wine spillage food tables rummaged. All this even tho Noel insists we bring Koa over so the team can meet him. Well maybe a lazy Thursday or Friday evening when things aren't quite off the chain.which frankly... seems to be an impossible goal. The study wine bar is chocked full of wine related happenings and the fan base has exploded! Hell I remember I had to help Noel create his Yelp account. For 2 years he had less than 10 folks commenting! Wow times have changed! To quote Steve Harvey, You go boy!!! The variety, creativity and passion of Noel and his fellow wine stompers, have the neighborhood buzzing... in a good way.
