Personal/half side Nu-York pizza from Pizza Culture
Kristi B.

We rolled into this location around 2 PM on a Wednesday afternoon. We were the only ones there and were greeted by a receptionist of sort who walked us through the process. Basically you check in and they get you set up at the front so you can just order directly through your phone and everything goes to one tab versus being separate tabs. It's also how you get your QR code to get drinks from the menu. There are seven food trucks available and they all have a different offering from sushi to pizza to hamburgers to Cuban inspired and tacos. We started with the spicy peanuts from the barbecue food truck. Definitely have a lot of spice with them and we love that they serve them to you in a plastic container so you could take them home if you didn't finish them. Unfortunately, they did taste a little old and we did not end up bringing them home with us. We got the fried cheese balls from smash dunk and they were delicious. Nice and crispy and full of mozzarella cheese on the inside. My husband got the half side or Personal pan, Nu York pizza - he said it was delicious. The crust was super light and the char on the pepperoni was perfect. I got the six wings in the cilantro garlic Parm sauce and they were cooked perfectly! I want to try more from À la Cubano! The beer selection was decent. They have a good selection of multiple different types of beers had a couple of cider selections and they also have wine available. Overall, this location has a lot of open space and tons of places to sit. It also has a ping-pong table, a volleyball or badminton net and just open area to run around and relax. It does bud up to a running/walking trail so you can also access the location that way as well. We look forward to going back.

This place is a lot of fun on a nice day. The atmosphere is great, the people working there were nice and helpful, and the food was great as well. The only issue is all of the seating is outdoors, so if it's not a nice day out, it may not be fun. They do have shaded areas thoMy only complaint is the food prices are high for the amount you get.

The Backyard is a good place for fun, games and food. There are board games and yard games. There a multiple food trucks - we tried pizza, sushi and the plantains which were all great. We found the ordering system a little confusing. It reminded me of ordering food on the private island of a cruise ship. It has real bathrooms as well which is a plus.

The Backyard is such a fun and unique concept--it genuinely feels like you walked into a friend's backyard that just happens to have food trucks and a self-serve beer wall. The vibe is casual, cute, and perfect for hanging out for a few hours. My husband and I came on a Saturday around 12:30pm. When we arrived, the staff at the entrance took our credit card to start a tab and showed us how to scan the QR code to use the self-serve beer taps. The beer selection is somewhat limited, but there's still plenty of variety to enjoy over the course of a visit. One of the best parts is the food truck lineup. They had five options when we were there: pizza, sushi, BBQ, Cuban food, and smash burgers--honestly something for everyone. I ordered a sushi burrito from Taito Sushi Bar, and it was incredible. Fresh, flavorful, and very filling. My husband went with the picanha steak sandwich from the smash burger food truck, and it did not disappoint. We also shared a couple of beef empanadas from the Cuban food truck, which were delicious as well. Everything we tried was phenomenal, and the relaxed atmosphere made the experience even better. This is such a great spot to grab food, enjoy a few beers, and hang out without feeling rushed. We'll definitely be back again soon!

I'm honestly sad it took me this long to make it here, this place is a true gem! The outdoor setup is awesome, with live music, tons of seating, and a great mix of food trucks and beer taps. We sampled several of the food trucks and were impressed across the board. The pizza had a wonderfully doughy crust, the Cuban empanadas were generously filled with ground beef in perfectly fried dough, the BBQ sausage brisket was flavorful, and the sushi rolls were massive. The beer-on-tap experience was such a highlight. You pay by the ounce and can choose from at least 12 different beer and cider options. The staff was friendly and attentive, stopping by multiple times to clear empty glasses and check in. Between the atmosphere, the food variety, and the great service, this will definitely become a regular outing spot for us.

I had NO idea about this place, but stumbled across it as I was riding my bike on West Orange Trail! I absolutely loved it. Everyone was so nice and accommodating, and the spot was aesthetically impressive. I liked that it was not crowded at all on a Sunday afternoon. I ordered the rice bowl with mojo pork from A Lo Cubano Kitchen and the flavor was delicious. I found it super filling. All of the menus looked really good and I'd like to try something from TBG next time. I ordered a Two Chicks seltzer and I loved it. It was vodka with peach, cucumber tea, and thyme. It was the perfect taste and gave me a nice little buzz. There's a bike rack, a bunch of seating, covered and uncovered areas, as well as games that make the place super family friendly. I will definitely be back!!

Checked out The Backyard in Ocoee after seeing a social media video about it. It looked really chill, and even though it's a bit of a drive for me. My wife and I went for a Friday lunch. Hardly anyone was there at that time, which was perfect for seeing the place without big crowds. The atmosphere is super nice. It is definitely a cool, relaxed spot. Honestly wish there was something like this on the east side of Orlando. They've got good beer options and use the "pay for what you pour" setup. Not sure how that plays out when the place is packed, but for the time of day we went, it worked great. For food, the sushi spot was good, and the Cuban food truck had a bomb Cuban sandwich. Overall, really chill place with good drinks and solid food options. Worth the drive to check out.

Had to check this place out after seeing it on social media. Awesome place to hang out on the weekends if looking for a laid-back spot with good food and chill vibes. And the fact that they use a QR code pay as you go system is fantastic because it allows you to order food and drinks and close out your tab whenever you're ready. The drinks come in an assortment of beers and wines all self serve and connected to the app. The food trucks range from sushi to burgers to barbecue. I had the chance to get a chicken wrap from the chicken food truck and it was amazing. The sitting area includes a covered patio and an outdoor component complete with fire pit if you so desire. The staff are incredibly friendly and ready to help you enjoy your experience. Oh, and did I mention the board games?? Absolute chill mode. Can't wait to go back. Overall 9/10!

Stopped in quite randomly in 4th of July. We are buying a house in the area and don't know anyone. We were in town to check on the house and as it was a last minute trip in a holiday we could not get pet care so we had our pups with us. Everyone was so nice. Could not have been friendlier to us or our admittedly not so well behaved dogs. From staff to guests. We're from Atlanta and have a lot of similar concepts to this, just on a larger scale so the warm welcome was born surprising and really encouraging. The have an easy pay system-in person or on your phone via QR code. You buy drinks by the Oz (tons of options from beer, wine & cider) and what seems to be permanent food trucks. Lot of variety with some less than basic options (Cuban and sushi along with bbq, burgers & pizza) Looking forward to making this our new go to easy neighborhood spot.

Let's go to the backyard ! The new cool spot in Ocoee , Florida. This place is AMAZING ya'll. The backyard concept is like a summer night with family enjoying food, music and beverages all while sitting in lawn chairs, rocking chairs, hammocks and picnic tables. It's cashless so ensure you have a debit or credit card and use will scan a barcode when you enter and every time you come back you only have to scan for the id to drink alcohol! We came back to back as the first night, only 2/5 food trucks had food left to order ( yup, it's good !) Food trucks : Pizza - good selection of pizza with a twist, give it a bite ! Taito sushi : a Caribbean infusion of sushi and the most popular on both nights Smash burgers: delicious variety of smash burgers with fries Cluckerz chicken - 5 stars ! A must try TBG BBQ ( my least favorite , food was bland and meat dry, 1 star for us ) Parking is free and well lit, so grab your family & friends or come for a date night like we did and go check it out. It's a casual vibe and perfect for kids and your furry friends !

I'd been anxiously awaiting the opening of The Backyard in Ocoee. It officially opened this past Wednesday. I stopped a few days later on Saturday, early evening. I love the concept. Since I'd stalked the website for weeks, I knew what I wanted to try. For my first time out I went to TBG and had a brisket melt. It was delicious. My friend had the All American burger from Smash Dunk. He was very pleased. The vibe was cool. There were families, couples, friends, children, dogs, you name it. It's a place for everyone. The music playlist was very diverse with several genres represented. There were board games and yard games available. The bathrooms were clean and air conditioned. They offer free water. All other food and beverages are available for purchase. The staff was very friendly. Finding seating and shade can be a problem when the crowd gets thick. It's a good idea to bring lawn chairs. The parking lot is also very small. Currently, people are using the vacant adjacent lot as overflow parking. However, I don't know if that's approved since they are n "No Trespassing" signs in that lot. The grassy area of the yard is a little thin. So dust is a factor. Don't wear your best shoes. I'll definitely be going back. It's a must try.

So excited for this place to open up in Ocoee. We have been there twice this week to try different food items. It was not too busy on Thursday evening and able to find a place to sit and relax to share a pizza and try a few items on tap. When we went on Friday it was much busier and we should have brought some folding chairs or something to sit on since many spaces were taken already. Super family friendly with games for families to play and open spaces for kids to run around a bit. Even saw some furry family members enjoying the outdoors. We had a pizza from Pizza Culture. It was flavorful, but I prefer more crisp/cooking on my pizza and the dough felt too soft for my preference. We tried the steak bowl, cuban, and yucca fries from A Lo Cubano. The cuban and yucca fries were amazing and prepared very well. My husband would have preferred a different cook on the steak so next time we think we will pop up to the window when we order to see if they can accommodate. They were super friendly when we picked up so we don't think it will be an issue and we didn't ask this time. Also did the California roll from Taito and it was really good as well. We still have a few more places to try here and can't wait to enjoy this location over and over again with the different beers/wines on tap. We love the concept that you can just get a little or a full glass and try lots of different items. The owners and staff are there to help accommodate and answer questions since everything is done via the app for food and drink orders.
