It was my first time here and I enjoyed it. The waitress and servers were nice and attentive. The food we had was great- I thoroughly enjoyed the risotto! They also had Happy Hour specials when we came- you can't go wrong with oysters and beer!

Went here a couple weeks ago. Had never been and it was on my bucket list. The food, ambiance, and service were all excellent. Prices were relatively reasonable for the amount of food that we received. Definitely will be back again

OMG! So good. My boyfriend & I, literally, just came here for tonight's dinner & inhaled our dinner. It was delightful! The service was superb. Matthew, our host, was vibrant & exceptional. He checked on us often to make sure everything was great & delish. He was also an excellent photographer. Highly recommend (all thanks to Matthew) and will definitely be back.

They allowed us to upgrade from the standard medium crabs to no. 1's for only $5 more. The only problem was, we had nowhere to eat. The server suggested a park on the water about 2 miles away. It was nice with pavilions and picnic tables. Would have been better if it wasn't so windy and cool, but we survived. It would be nice if the trailer added a few tables and maybe a portable toilet.

So now I can take a 25 minute ride and feast safely. My wife died last year after a long illness and it's been 3 years since I cracked crabs. Eating crabs is a social event and we always had them for a crowd. However, I'm on my own now and seldom have company for dinner, but today I said heck with friends. I want some crabs. These folks sell a Bay Box consisting of 3 perfectly seasoned crabs, about a half pound or more of shrimp, and a tasty ear of roasted local corn on a cob. $20! Perfect for my appetite and wallet. I'm thinking I could do this at least once a week. I can't tell you how wonderful these folks are. Great food AND service so I am going to get names to share with you tomorrow. I think it's really important to recognize people who make our lives better and share their kindness so freely. It's a cute little, colorful building with a big front covered porch and shaded outdoor tables for eating. Comfy. My new go-to crab house for singles or a crowd.

However, we decided to give it another try. There were 3 of us, and on this trip the bar was full, but there were plenty of tables. Our server was Steph and she was friendly. We ordered a pound of bang, bang shrimp, 2 crab cake sandwiches, and a lobster tower. It was very enjoyable, and we finished with the toffee bread pudding. It was not bad for a seafood restaurant nowhere near the ocean and in the middle of winter.

They were not very crowded, maybe a handful of tables occupied and the bar was a little on the full side. Hostess was nice, found a seat for us immediately. The service was a little underwhelming seemed like our waitress was also cooking the food. 20 minutes after we ordered, I was told they were out of my entrée, the crabcakes, a bit ironic, eh? So instead ordered a few appetizers. Overall, the food was fine, main problem we had that the bussers and waitresses kept trying to take our plates before we were finished with them, very strange, almost like they were trying to rush us out. Was not checked on very much-only had one drink each. Though I ordered 15 wings only 10 were served, but they only charged me for 10. Not a very attentive waitstaff to say the least. At least I tried it, now I know, a bit disappointed.

The food gives you that fine dining experience without the pretentiousness. The staff is warm and friendly -- shout out to Chet for his amazing service. They were also very accommodating to our son who was in between napping when we began dining, setting up a high chair for us in a way that would allow him to continue sleeping in his car seat. We started the meal off with some seared scallops that were perfectly arranged. Next, my wife had some seared tuna while I ordered the Colorado bison -- both items off of the special seasonal menu. The dishes were incredibly flavorful and the veggies that surrounded the meat added a nice complement. I also really enjoyed my California cab, as did my wife with her house Manhattan. We will definitely be back next time we are in Delaware, and highly recommend to anyone visiting the Hockessin area!

(Server rectified) The pasta carbonara was prepared using guanciale instead of bacon or pancetta. I found it too rich and almost over cooked. The duck wings appetizer my friend had were excellent. The fresh fish entree was delicious. The cheesecake dessert was a thing of beauty. I would probably try again, but it's a half an hour away. (We passed way too many other restaurants to try)
