When I called them to let them know, not that i really expected them to do anything, it seems the order-taker had erroneously said "well cooked," hence the clear error. We went up to the front and the bartender wasn't the most friendly, no greeting or conversation but that's fine with me. I had a sour and my partner had an IPA. Both times I've been I've gotten the same order (it was too good not to repeat) - a Bellini, the Mr. Delphine crepe, and the Alsacienne tart. The Bellini is always sweet and refreshing, and the crepe has the perfect blend of fresh flavors. The alsacienne tart is always baked to perfection and absolutely delectable. The cafe is small so seating can sometimes be limited - I'd recommend getting there early since it does tend to fill up around typical brunch times. Service has also always been very good - you order at a counter and then the food is brought out to you. The owner Delphine is almost always there and greeting customers with a smile. Delphine's Kitchen is definitely my current favorite breakfast spot, and I'll be back soon for sure!

Since they were obviously busy and weren't keeping up with the crowd that night, we tried to order two drinks each so they could save a little of their time and we could relax without worrying about if a server was going to take our order again before the end of the week. The server very sharply said that he was NOT going to give us two drinks at a time, CERTAINLY not with drinks of this high alcohol content. We ordered one drink each, cashed out and bounced. The cocktail I got was fine; I could make a slightly worse version at home at a fraction of the price (or even two at once!). We we were told later by a friendlier Salemite at a bar with a better vibe that there is a Massachusetts state law that prohibits having two drinks at once at a bar. Fair enough. Had our server told us that, unfortunately, he wasn't allowed to give us two drinks at once -- instead of making us feel like idiots/degenerates for daring to ask -- we probably would have dropped a lot of vacation money there that night.
