I had been following The Artisan Marshmallow Co for probably a year or so on social media before I finally made it to them to actually buy some treats! It was well worth the wait. I was warmly met and greeted, absolutely did not feel rushed, and left with a collection of different flavored marshmallows to try out. I live less than ten minutes from the Artisan Marshmallow and have followed them for a while, but never visited. Mostly because I like marshmallows but I didn't think I was a big enough fan to warrant a trip to a place dedicated to them. I am here to tell you, I was wrong. Upon stepping foot into the little marshmallow cottage, I was greeted warmly and that is usually enough for me to warrant purchasing at least one thing to support a small business, but when I say I walked out with over $50 worth of marshmallowy goodness and have zero regrets, I am not kidding. We started out perusing the wall of jams, spreads, coffees, and non marshmallow items. We snatched up the carrot cake spread because my husband is obsessed with carrot cake and we felt this would make some amazing stuffed french toast in the fall. We also grabbed a bag of the sunset blend coffee beans from Hallowed Grounds Coffee Co. I then saw their signature marshmallow, which has caramel and is enrobed in chocolate with sea salt. These reminded me of a candy I love to get from a well known confectioner on the West Coast, so I had to grab one. Then I found out they make their own caramels, so I got a bag of them. I also chose their special marshmallow of the week with caramel and stroopwaffle pieces, the coffee dreams marshmallow, the mini smores, and the kandy kake marshmallows. Finally, we grabbed a bag of their puppy marshmallows for our dogs. We tried the Kandy Kake marshmallow and OOOOO WEEE was it amazing! I never would have imagined it would be this good. In fact, I am scared to try the rest because I just KNOW I am going to be in trouble. If you have avoided this place thus far because you think you don't like marshmallows enough, that may be a good thing for you because I guarantee you like marshmallows after you try these. read more

This is a very cool little boutique marshmallow shop in Pitman. Of all things I didn't think I'd see a shop specializing in gourmet marshmallow but I'm glad I found it. The owner is nice and creative with her craft, and can certainly make great recommendations. The marshmallows are reasonably priced treats that offer something unique for customers with a variety of flavors to choose from. They also had seasonal specials, so I tried the Irish potato marshmallow, which had some cinnamon and coconut inside. Definitely not a marshmallow I've ever tried. There are a lot of other flavors to try and I think what they offer would make great wedding favors or party favors for those in need. read more

We stumbled upon this place at the lights on Main Christmas event a year and half ago. I think my brother in law mentioned homemade marshmallows and I said we're going here. It's a really tiny place in back of another store, if you don't know it's there it would be hard to find. The first time we went and they were out of a lot of items, but we got a cranberry marshmallow square, and a wafer stuffed with marshmallows and a couple other things but I forgot. I wanted to go back at some point, but we don't live in the area and it's kind of a pain to drive and park on Main Street. We happened to be in the area visiting our family and stopped at the farmers market, so we stopped at artisan marshmallow again. They definitely had more items this time. I got all kinds of marshmallows, ones stuffed with jelly beans, peanut butter cups, Guinness marshmallow, birthday cake marshmallows, and a brownie with marshmallow in it . I haven't had a chance to taste them all yet, but the ones I had were very good. They're homemade soft and pillowy and melts in your mouth. It has a better taste than regular marshmallow since it's homemade. The brownie was very rich and decadent also. My only complaint is I never see any chocolate covered marshmallows when I'm there, I don't know if they sell out before I get there or they don't make them all the time. I thought we got everything that they had this time because they were stocked with a lot of items, but then I got home and looked up the website and I saw all kinds of delicious looking items I didn't see at the store: chocolate Caramel marshmallows, stroopwaffle sandwich with chocolate and marshmallow, a marshmallow chocolate paddle pop, etc. Basically anything with chocolate they didn't have when I was there. I can't blame them though if it's popular and sold out. Hopefully next time we're there I'll get to get a chocolate covered marshmallow something. Maybe I can order ahead of time and pickup? Or else send my family there to pick up some for me early, haha. Now writing this made me hungry and I'm going to get a marshmallow now. read more

This place is so unique and creative. I love that it is a women-owned business in my hometown. There are so many fun flavors of marshmallows to try. There are so many new treats to try, but my favorite so far has to be the salted caramel chocolate covered marshmallows. So if you couldn't tell already, yes I definitely recommend giving this place a try. read more
