I really don't even buy chocolate candy at the stores anymore. I just go there and buy it. Their chocolate covered pretzels are really good. I don't like milk chocolate so I like to buy the dark chocolate and the chocolatier that they get their chocolate from is a good one. There are tinfoil wrapped candies, while they don't make them there, It is from the same chocolate chocolatier that is made by that company and they order it. They offer sugar-free candy so really anybody can get candy from here and enjoy it. The candy they sell in the stores like Kitcat and all these other candies. It's such a small percentage of chocolate that it's waxy and gross. You will not find that here. You will find what chocolate should truly do that. It melt in your mouth as you eat it.

Really it goes wherever there are a bunch of kids or overheated people. Today we were at the Rocky Steps and it was brutal hot without a water fountain in sight. Then out of nowhere, this Mister Softee truck appeared and it was like an angel on wheels. A white truck with pictures of ice cream on the sides. A man appears in a little window. It was like a zombie schuffle of thirsty people toward the truck. We bought two ice cold waters for $3.50 each and would have paid $10.00 each at this point in my hydration recovery.

If I remember correctly, the nice girl at the counter was telling me they've actually been there since 1950. It's completely family owned, homemade candies. And the chocolate covered pretzels are to die for. My mom absolutely loves the buttercream, and my dad is a toffee fan. But you cannot go wrong with their signature "Candy" which is actually oyster crackers dipped in chocolate. You absolutely have to try this place if you pass it.
