    Jelly beans are my weakness.

Damask Candies temporarily shutters as of April 16. They're only open select times of the year for the holidays. Easter is, I assume, one of their most popular times. Their chocolates have been part of a sweet tradition in my family for as long as I can remember. Growing up, my cousins and I would hide our hollow chocolate bunnies -- etched with our names -- in my grandmother's house, and then "hunt" for them. As the youngest of the bunch, I usually struggled the most and needed "hot" or "cold" clues to find my rabbit. Don't even get me started on Easter egg hunts. #stillbitter I've only stepped foot in Damask itself a handful of times. Usually, it's an "elusive" part of my life, despite often driving by the storefront on 322. Alas, I'm older now and most of my cousins no longer want bunnies. But, as the youngest, I still revel in this part of my youth and appreciate the rich, top-tier chocolate every Easter Sunday. As such, this year -- for the first time ever -- I picked out my own bunny. This actually appalled the sales clerk. Her children (one older than me, one my age, one younger) still love getting their bunnies each year. [Let's be friends? Adopted fam?] She suggested I break the routine of buying the classic bunny and led me to a chocolate bunny crafted to be a COWBOY with a purple bow tie. I can hardly stand the cuteness. I also bought a bag of jelly beans (they were delicious), but passed on getting a chocolate egg. I think Damask is a gem in the chocolate world, and I hope they continue to exist for another 111 years.

My absolute favorite place for chocolate covered peanut butter candies! If you travel from Chester County PA to the Jersey shore, do yourself a favor and take the Commodore Barry Bridge so that you will drive right past Damask Candies on your way to 55South. Now, I'm not doing myself any favors by telling you to do this because if you are smart enough to listen to me, traffic will be terrible. But you know what? Damask Candies are so good that it will be worth it. Easter is my favorite time to stop there because the Easter candies are so cute! And the peanut butter eggs are to die for! But, even if it's not Easter they still have amazing candies (including peanut butter).

Dark chocolate covered pretzels, peanut cream filled clusters, and chocolate covered oyster crackers are amazing!!!! I love this old fashioned chocolate shop. You walk in and you are immediately enticed by the warm aroma of chocolate goodness. There are pre-packaged boxes of specialty items as well as samplers if your just not sure what you want. Additionally you have the option of picking your own chocolates which is what my FH did on our most recent trip. Be for-warned they do read minds and know you are thinking about eating your candy the second you step out the door lol. If you happen to be anywhere near exit 11A on 295 from November to May, do yourself a favor and stop in for a sugary sweet confection from heaven :)

The best chocolate covered crackers. I know you're thinking what?!?!? But yes they are chocolate covered Oyster crackers. Soooo good. The chocolate is smooth. The Chocolate is thickly covering the crackers. I could sit and eat a whole box plus in one sitting. I can't not wait to try others! Yummmmm.

I haven't had a box of Damask candies in a long time. My Dad and step mom brought be a heart box for Valentine's Day. Such a sweet surprise. Nothing better than supporting a local family business. I love the mix of chocolates, the dark is my favorite but a quality milk chocolate tastes good too! Can't wait to buy some at Easter time. I don't think they are open all year round.

This is the assortment of Damask Candies~ A true crowd pleaser~

Outstanding Chocolates~ So wonderful to still have a little shop that has been in business over 100 years making the best home made chocolates on the East Coast. The chocolate crackers are crazy good~ why yes folks I said crackers. No one makes them, well not to my knowledge. What a wonderful hostess gift! The chocolate covered caramels are mouth watering OH MY GOSH where have you been all my life excellent!!! So if you should be driving up or down 295 in NJ exit 11 is where you would exit to this great little shop just 1 mile or so off 295.

Received a box for xmas. They are horrible. The filling is nothing but sugar. No flavor. The chocolate coating is thin.

We tried the lemon drops ("Always Sunny"), the rainbow colored "Sour Pom Poms", the chocolate taffy with mini marshmallows, the milk duds ("MacDades"), and the peach gummy donuts ("Peach Roundabouts"). Everything was sooooooo good! The kids were thrilled to eat candy the way astronauts would, and fascinated at how it changed form when freeze dried. We were so excited to bring this experience to the pack and make our outer space banquet THAT much more realistic! When the kids had their fill, the parents got to be kids again (think back to the gift shop on your field trip to Smithsonian Air & Space Museum). I dared a leader to eat a green sour ball, "Do it! Do it!" and he had the biggest smile eating it! For a moment, Taff Treats put us back in middle school again :-) Awesome candy experience! They make Willy Wonka proud!

They are amazing, usually some freeze dried skittles have a little sour taste to the end but these do not, which i loved. After finishing a pack I immediately looked them up and ordered more. They have so many choices!
