I absolutely love their candy. They are competitively priced with real candy stores. They make their own chocolates there. They also sell candy that is not made there that they buy and then bag themselves. They always have cute holiday stuff like candy. They're peanut butter chocolate cups, whether their hearts or whatever they're making at the time are the best ones I have ever had in my entire life. Whenever I go somewhere, I bring this candy as a hostess gift. It's really nice that when you buy a box of chocolates there, they will wrap it at no additional charge or you could buy pre-wrapped ones with their pre-selected candies however I prefer to pick out my own candies now because I know what I like and I don't like. I really don't even buy chocolate candy at the stores anymore. I just go there and buy it. Their chocolate covered pretzels are really good. I don't like milk chocolate so I like to buy the dark chocolate and the chocolatier that they get their chocolate from is a good one. There are tinfoil wrapped candies, while they don't make them there, It is from the same chocolate chocolatier that is made by that company and they order it. They offer sugar-free candy so really anybody can get candy from here and enjoy it. The candy they sell in the stores like Kitcat and all these other candies. It's such a small percentage of chocolate that it's waxy and gross. You will not find that here. You will find what chocolate should truly do that. It melt in your mouth as you eat it. read more

The chocolates here would be great for gifts, but my family just ate 'em with my while watching season 3 of Stranger Things Discovered this place when I dropped my kid off at Camp Ockanickon. Sign out front lured me in - Chocolate Covered Blueberries. I love love good quality and their home made chocolates and blueberries are scrumptious. I thought they would be individual berries but they are in a large clump (bad word to describe something delicious, but you get the idea). Choice of light or dark chocolate. I got both because I'm not a fool. The prices are right for gourmet chocolate. You want cheap chocolates from a factory, go to a drug store. You want fairly priced special local chocolates from a local business, this is your place. read more

Very friendly staff and a huge selection of locally-produce chocolates and treats. They have a large array of sugar-free chocolates, but unfortunately do not yet cater to the dairy-free crowd. I purchased a two-pound box of mixed chocolates as a thank you gift for a friend and the helpful staff wrapped it beautifully for me in colorful paper and ribbon at no charge. Having said that I thought the chocolate was rather high in price, but getting something delicious produced locally has its benefits. read more

Oh GOODBYE WAISTLINE haha! But tis the season for yummy treats! I received these chocolate covered pretzels as a gift from one of the doctors I was shadowing during my clinical rotation for the holidays. The presentation was nice and he raved lots about their chocolate. He told me that when they get blueberries, that I need to get some chocolate covered blueberries because they are THE BEST! I believe him because these chocolate covered pretzels and little chocolate drops covered with sprinkles were yummy! I haven't had a chance to visit the store just yet.. but will definitely look forward to checking them out in the future! They make nice little gifts if you're not sure wHat to get someone! This store has an excellent selection and the display is outstanding, BUT I am exhausted at dealing with a cashier who is moody, ill tempered, and anti-social. This happens whenever this person is working. She came slightly late this morning. She saw me parked in front of the store, and yet she did not acknowledge me until I acknowledged her. I am a 69-year old man. I am always polite and courteous. It would be wonderful if this person learned the art of customer service. It is especially disheartening that this happened during the Christmas holidays, but she ALWAYS acts like this. This is hands down the best chocolate I've ever had. We've ordered very good Belgian, German and Polish chocolates over the years. And American chocolates like Ghirardelli's are great. But none are as good as Reily's. Chocolate covered blueberries are unbelievably good when in season. I received a small box of 'chocolates' from Reily's as a gift. I assumed it contained your standard assortment. When I opened the box I saw what looked like chocolate covered peanut clusters which was fine with me. It's a good combo. What is up with this place? People working there should be a lot nicer and friendlier - after all, it is A CANDY STORE!! You would think they were working in a funeral parlor!! No, I have seen much more happy people there. Rarely a smile or helpful suggestion. Why not treat customers like a small town store should? That is if you want their business. If you love chocolate you HAVE to go to Reily"s candy in Medford. It is the quintessential candy store. When you open the door, the aroma of delicious envelopes you and "carries" you through the store. The chocolate in this store is mostly made in this store and it is wonderful! I have family in Los Angeles and San Francisco who only want me to send them Reily's for holidays and birthdays! One thing, if you want to purchase candy near the big candy holidays be prepared as there will be lines - but the lines are friendly locals and former locals who are buying for themselves and buying to mail to kids at college or far away extended family. They gift wrap boxes if you ask so be patient - it is worth the wait and there are many employees to help you! Be certain to look up when at the register, you will see an autographed photo of the famous "I Love Lucy" chocolate packing, conveyor belt scene personalized for Mr. Reily, the original owner. No, the show was not filmed at Reily's, but I have had chocolate from that store in Los Angeles - and while it is good I think Reily's is even better! read more

The woman at the counter seemed extremely unhappy, even towards other customers buying $60.00 worth of chocolate. What's worse is she picked out the chocolate I wanted with bare hands, her fingers directly touching the confections. Gross! Last thing I want to see in cold season. Unhappy demeanor could be result of a bad day or the fault of poor working conditions on behalf of the employers, but touching food with bare hands? What is this? The 1930's?
