If you want something simple, fast and delicious, Aristocrat is the restaurant to go to. Their Boneless Chicken Barbeque which they are famous for is excellent every. single. time. This is paired with really good java rice and homemade peanut sauce. The java rice is always a pleasant surprise because most of the restaurants that give a java rice option either make it too oily or too dry. Aristocrat's is just perfect. Their peanut sauce is good, I noticed many patrons preferring to drizzle it all over their dish to the point that it's swimming in it. Not exactly something I'm gonna imitate anytime soon. The barbeque chicken, on its own, already contains so much flavour. So does the sweet, salty peanut sauce. Mix the two and it's just an overload for my poor taste buds. But to each his own, I guess. Many people seem to enjoy it enough that way.
Other classics of this Filipino restaurant are the Sotanghon Soup and Sinigang na Bangus. For dessert, they have the light and spongy Mango cake and/or the delightfully milky Mucha Leche, which is basically a chiffon cake with sweet milk icing. While the kitchen staff seems to always do well, the service unfortunately, is erratic. Sometimes they're really nice and quick and polite, other times they seem distracted and haphazard. They take too long to bring you your order or they mix it up entirely. Sometimes they don't bother smiling or repeating your order. It's odd and sometimes irksome. But regardless, I would still recommend this restaurant for a quick, hearty meal with friends and family. read more
