First time visit to appliance loft. Previously have gone to Custom Distributors but due to proximity, we chose to go to Appliance Loft for 2 dishwasher's and a beverage fridge. Prices were as expected no deals so what I would've expected to pay anywhere but service after purchase was terrible. They missed our delivery day and installation completely without calling to let us know they would not be coming. Delivery time was 1230 to 230. 230 no one is there. No call from appliance loft. Wife finally gets in touch with a manager at 4pm as says to expect them "within the hour". They never show and no call backs. So after a full day waiting at home, they come back 2 days later. Beverage fridge installation is crooked, not lined up with icemaker, no level with the countertops. Call manager again to see if installers can come back and we get no return call. Will definitely never purchase from appliance loft in Oakley again. After reading the review, the manager called back and had the install team there the next day. They fixed the problem to our satisfaction. Once the Appliance loft management team found out there was a problem, they were quick to fix it and make it right. After the follow up service, I would definitely give them another chance. read more

Great customer service. After buying boatload of appliances from them 6 years ago we have had issues with the Bosch dishwasher. After out of warranty expensive repair and return of the same problem, went to Reese (GM of store) and shared my concern about sales pitch of Bosch's engineering and quality. He contacted area manager and they offered us a greatly reduced new model as they suggested what we encountered is not right; Reese even covered the install fee and had it done with a week. We almost went to a big box store where low prices and free installs entice one; but won't get this level of customer care from them. read more

Horrible customer service Delivery ruined my kitchen floor. Repairs quoted over $10,000 ( yes, an open concept floor plan can't just be "patched" ). A simple mat to put the unboxed refrigerator on while rolling into place is all a professional delivery service had to do. Months of run around only to be told to contact their delivery company but doubt they'll pay anything. They won't. Had plans to replace all other kitchen appliances from them. I dealt with this companies about five years ago when we did a fairly major remodeling job at our house. I did not realize I had not done a review so I am correcting this error now. We happened upon this unique business when we visited Voltage furniture store which is in the same building. We like that they have a compact showroom that is full of interesting brands and products that you don't see everywhere that are priced competitively. Being able to try different models and brands in their showroom was very helpful, for example, kitchen exhaust fans can be quite noisy and by being able to compare various brands and models right there made our decision easy. They communicated with us very well and kept us informed about our orders and deliveries. read more

VERY, VERY, unhappy. Followup from sales is awful and requred me to call. THey never called to get me update. THen when my mini frig finally came in they charged the balance on my original card without even calling to see how I wanted to pay it. Everything requred my followup with them. No proactivity once you give them the deposit for the sale. read more

Shop here at your own risk. From our experience, we will never do so again. Our ovens were malfunctioning and we needed new ones before Thanksgiving. We went to Appliance Loft, explained the situation and emphasized the need to have the new ovens installed before the holiday. We made a purchase based on the assurance that the ovens would be delivered to The Loft by 11/7 and installed in our home well before Thanksgiving. 11/7 came and went with no call to set an installation schedule. When I called a couple of days later, I was told that the ovens would not arrive at the Loft until the day before Thanksgiving and would not be installed in our home for the holiday Please note that I learned this info only because I called them. The Loft had no intention of calling me to let me know that they would not be delivering when promised. They were fine with us learning the day before Thanksgiving that we would not have properly functioning ovens. When I complained, I was asked if I wanted them to try to expedite the delivery.....as if they were doing me some big favor by trying to deliver somewhere close to on time. Of course, I said "yes" and was told that they would contact the distributer and call me back. No call came. I followed up...pretty irritated by now....and was again told that I would receive a call back. No call came. When I called back yet again, I was told that they didn't realize that I was waiting for a call. Realizing that I couldn't rely on these folks, I cancelled the order. We will cook for Thanksgiving in ovens that don't work. From the Yelp reviews, it appears that some folks have had good experiences with this place. Clearly, quite a number of folks have not. So, it's entirely up to you. If you're willing to risk having a miserable, irritating and frustrating experience on the off-chance that things might go right, this is the place for you, read more

Helpful on the front end, unacceptably bad on follow through. We ordered a (special order) hood in early September that was supposed to be in stock by Sept 21. Mid October and it still wasn't in stock. Only way we knew was because we called for updates. Complete radio silence from them. Finally in stock late October (no call from them) and when we checked in, they said they'd have the installer call to schedule. A week later we call and they promise installer will call that day. A week later I call (we're mid November at this point) and I ask to have this done before Thanksgiving. They schedule me first thing on the Tuesday before. At 10am Tuesday, still nobody so I call. They say they'll call me right back and don't. Around 1pm they say they guarantee he'll be there that day. No later than 6:30pm. At 7 I call the installer and he says he'll be here by 8 or we can schedule for next week. At 8:30 he tells me it's not going to happen, but he'll find a way to get me in Wednesday before Thanksgiving. Next morning 10 o'clock rolls around. Nobody. I call and speak to the GM. He promises to call me right back. No call from him. I'm in contact with the installer who says he might be able to get to us between 8pm and 9pm. Then he asked for measurements. It's 2:45 on the Wednesday before Thanksgiving and I just got a text from the installer saying he doesn't have the piece he needs to complete the install. My wife's family gets here for Thanksgiving in 2 hours. Thanks for the memories Appliance Loft. read more

The Appliance Loft was extremely helpful during our initial appointment and upon the purchase of our new appliances for our recent kitchen renovation. Patty was very knowledgeable and quick to respond to any questions that we had via phone and through email. After the appliances were delivered and installed we noticed an issue with our new Fisher Paykel refrigerator making an extremely loud noise. We called to inform them that we were having an issue and Patty contacted A-1 Appliance and a repair person come out in a timely manner. He determined the compressor to be the issue, however he wanted to get a second opinion. The following week the second repairman agreed and concluded that the compressor needed to be replaced. After giving this some thought my husband and I both agreed that a new refrigerator should NOT require a compressor replacement and did not feel comfortable with this resolution. We contacted Patty again by phone and through email to inform her that this was not a viable solution. She replied and advised us that she would speak to the manager and would be in touch to provide a few options to remedy our issues. A week passed and we did not receive a response. We proceeded to follow up again via email and attached an audio/video clip as the problem seemed to be getting worse. We made another phone call and she was out of the office, we were told she would return our call the following day....still no call. Another week has passed and we still haven't received the courtesy of that return phone call. We have been dealing with this issue for over a month now while continuing to tolerate an expensive noisy refrigerator that is not working properly, with no resolution in sight. Needless to say we are not happy with the purchase of our Fisher Paykel refrigerator from The Appliance Loft and are even more frustrated with the customer service we are receiving. We are very disappointed with their lack of communication and follow up on this matter. I would consider going elsewhere to make your appliance purchases. They were great on the front end but sure are lacking should a problem arise. read more

Pricing OK. Not the cheapest. Just bought and had delivered several thousand dollars worth of upscale kitchen appliances. And they apparently feel it's fine to leave the removal of film, unwrapping and assembly of refrigerator shelves and drawers, etc. to their customer. I called to complain, and was essentially just told that that is what they do. I deducted one star for having to unpack it myself... and two more for the fact that they are fine with that. read more

If you decide to buy something from Appliance Loft and pay for an extended warranty, do yourself a favor and call the warranty company before you ever need service. We purchased a dryer from Appliance Loft in late 2015 and bought the 5 year extended warranty. Love the dryer and have had no problems until early October. Called the warranty company and found out Appliance Loft didn't follow through and send our information and proof of warranty purchase to the company in 2015 - as if we never bought it. So I have to send all of the receipts to them, to be created in their system, while we still have a malfunctioning dryer. Will never buy from them again because they can't see a purchase through from beginning to end. read more

Not worth the extra $$ I wanted to like this place, I really did. I'm a big supporter of local businesses and I hate shopping at the big box stores (Loew's, Home Depot, etc). But, after buying a complete set of appliances from Appliance Loft, I have to say that I won't be going back. I just saw no value in spending the extra vs. the evil big box stores. #1) They really sold me on the Bosch brand, and we've had nothing but trouble with every single Bosch product we bought - fridge, microwave, dishwasher, laundry and range. Despite paying a premium, all have needed repair or replacement in less than 3 years. #2) Appliance Loft was unwilling or unable to help in my battles with Bosch to get warranty consideration. So, while most of my ire goes toward Bosch (never again!), Appliance loft loses my future business for pointing me in that direction to begin with and for no help in resolving my problems. I really hate to say it, but you might as well go to Sears or Lowe's. You'll still have to replace your appliance in less than 5 years, but at least you won't pay a premium for it. read more

We ordered a fridge, washer and dryer from Appliance loft. All 3 were supposed to be delivered today (3/15/2021) so my husband and I took off work to clean everything out and get it ready for new appliances. Afternoon rolls around and no one has called to say what time they will be here so we call to follow up. "Oh sorry they forgot to schedule it for delivery, the earliest they could get it out to us is tomorrow which we both have to work. I asked to speak with the manager and oh he's off so who is above him, oh that would be the owner and he won't talk to you" Are you serious?! Absolute worst customer service ever!!!!! When I make mistakes at my job I jump through hoops to make it right even if that means I have to work later or it cost me to correct my mistake. A happy customer will always return and send business your way. I understand mistakes happen but it's how your correct those mistakes that speaks volumes. I went in with a budget, and after 4 quotes later, I got exactly what I wanted. They were patient with me while trying to make a decision, and happy to help recommend options that fit my price range and what I was looking for. I would not recommend buying anything from this company and definitely don't have them install anything. On July 29, 2020 they had me pay in full almost $10,000 for a range, hood and dishwasher along with services for installation and cabinet fillers that were to be made. Everything was to be installed on October 21, 2020. The installation was a nightmare. Their installer worked on our gas line, charged us an additional $400 on the spot to work on the gas line, and caused a gas leak putting out entire family's lives at risk. When we contacted him he did not respond and we had to call the fire department which confirmed gas was leaking from the stove that had been installed. The next day when the installer returned instead of apologizing he asked us "fun night last night?" He still has not taken any ownership for the problem and maintains he did not cause the leak.On top of that the installer never made the cabinet fillers we paid for in July and he just disappeared and never followed up. It is now the end of November and we still have not received the cabinet fillers we paid for in July. I have followed up with the general manager of the company multiple times and still have no resolution or update on when the cabinet fillers we paid for in July will be delivered and installed. I would give zero stars if I could. read more

I couldn't be happier with my new Bosch appliances bought from the Appliance Loft. Patty was great to work with; spending an hour assessing my needs and showing options available, sending quotes with links to all the items, cost of installation and she even filled for rebates on my behalf. Delivery service took great care unloading and installing, even placed spare parts to old dishwasher in ziplock bag for next owner. No, they did not remove plastic wrap and blue tape on fridge shelves, but I wanted to take it apart, wash before using and learn how to put shelves back in. Very easy. We have remodeled our kitchen and we can honestly say that of all the companies and people we have dealt with during ths renovation, Nicole and The Appliance Loft stand heads above the crowd. Your selection of appliances was far superior to other stores we looked at and your prices were competitive. Nicole was so very helpful and knowledgeable and was instrumental in helping us to make the best choices for our limited space kitchen. When I needed a new dishwasher ASAP, I went to the Appliance Loft to support a local business instead of going to a "big box" store. I specifically asked when the dishwasher would be in and if they had an installer. They said the dishwasher would be in between Wednesday and Friday and that the installer generally was "right on it". I purchased the product and then called end-of-day Friday, when I hadn't heard from anyone. The owner said that it hadn't arrived, but that he a sheet saying it would be in that day and he would call the installer to make sure he was on it. On Monday morning, when all I had heard was "the sound of silence" I called again...the owner asked me if I had heard from the installer. When I said no, he said the installer was on the other line and would call me immediately. Three hours later the installer called and said the earliest he could do the installment was Wednesday, which turned out to be Thursday when he rescheduled...a week later than originally promised. While the installer was a nice, and professional, guy, I'd rather order an appliance from the Big Box store, have them schedule the delivery (same day, if I want) and then show up when promised. Maybe they wouldn't care about me, but Appliance Loft didn't either, so they're even on that front. read more

They have really good prices and a nice sales team but I have to fail them on delivery. They called to confirm the delivery time in the morning. I confirmed and told them due to being out of town my contractor would be onsite to receive the items. Appliance loft delivery then called me 2/3 of the way through the delivery window to say they could not make it. I was paying my contractor team to be at my house to install appliances and everyone else made their time. The appliance loft employees were completely unapologetic about my incurred costs to have my contractors wait around again. They should have immediately offered to cover the cost. I gave up on their delivery service and am paying my contract to get the appliance from the warehouse. I doubt they are honorable enough to refund the delivery fee I had pre-paid. read more

We bought a Bosch package and have been extremely happy with the appliances. The speed oven is what we use the most, and we wouldn't have known about it if they weren't using it in their kitchen for lunch! We also appreciated having the rebate put in for us.....not a fan of rebates, but they made it so easy. A washer & dryer are next! read more
