I'm in this location a lot lately. I used to come here only if I couldn't find what I needed elsewhere. But I have to say, things have changed and for the better. And I now come here first. The store is well stocked, clean and organized. Staff are everywhere so it's not hard to find help. And if someone can't help, they find someone who can! Huge difference! One of the managers Minuette (sorry if I spelled it wrong) is so kind and always working her butt off! But not only her, I have had the pleasure of getting help from many of the employees. Nikki, Dan, Chris, Celeste, Tessa, Jay, Bruce, and one of the nicest and most helpful I call Credit Card Chris. Lol He will get you $20.00 in free merchandise just for applying for a credit card! (If you're approved it's more, I think $100.00) It's a win win he says! The staff are incredibly helpful and treat one another like family. There are a couple employees that I saw in the freezing cold working the parking lot, and every single time they see me or my hubby they make sure to say hello. Now I look for them so I can say hello. You might be greeted by one of their Home Service providers like water treatment, Heating and Cooling-We just had them come out to our house to make sure our furnace was running good after a long winter. I went here last weekend because I needed lumber to build a outdoor table with my roomates. We had all of the measurements and knew what we needed, but we had never built anything like this before and I don't think I have ever been to a Home Depot without my parents. We walked in and found the lumber section, everything was very well organized with lots of options, and I was really glad the pricing was clear and visible. After searching for a bit a worker came over to help us grab some items. He told us that he had a lot of experience helping other people build this table before and was ready to answer any and all questions. He also helped us find the right measurements and cut the wood for us. He was so incredibly helpful and super nice, it was amazing! I wish I had gotten his name! Overall it was a great experience, especially for a very inexperienced and intimidated person like me who barely knew what she was doing haha! read more

I'm not a Home Depot fanatic. I tend to prefer competitors, as they are often cheaper or have better quality products for comparable prices. However, I've been frequenting this Home Depot because I have a store credit that I need to use, that I received prior to Home Depot changing their return policy. Their current return policy is not great. You can return items easily with a receipt or a credit card look up. However, they won't accept returns without a receipt, if you don't have the card used. Even if you have a receipt, items purchased with a store credit may or may not be eligible for return... it's up to the store's discretion. I get that the policy may have changed due to theft or fraud or whatever but like everything in life, a few people can mess things up for everyone. Anyway, I remember a time when most everything at that orange hardware store was cheaper than most everything at that blue hardware store. Well, they've flip flopped because Home Depot is more expensive on majority of paint supplies I viewed today. I can think of a number of other retailers with solid hardware tools at a fraction of the price, and those stores have better return policies. I just think Home Depot could do better in multiple areas, especially availability of staff to assist you. Home Depot, as a whole, really struggles with having employees that can help, say cut wood when needed. Maybe this is due to the pandemic and lack of workers. Maybe not. I will resort to a pickup order if I have to, but I know I better be prepared to sit in my car waiting for a bit. I refuse to go inside this store after so many awful experiences! I do believe most of it is due to not having enough staff, which is very unfortunate. There is no one around to help you. When you do finally speak with a worker, they are lazy and usually not helpful. Going into this store truly just frustrates me and makes me wish I never walked in. I am now going to the nearby Lowe's to meet all of these needs and it is such a better experience! It might not be perfect, but they have way more workers and the workers actually know what they're doing and show a sense of urgency. Team Lowe's! I came here for supplies for my plants. The customer service here was great!! I was looking for plant stakes for my indoor cactus that's growing out of control, and the person in the garden section first showed me tomato cages. However, when I explained what I needed she came up with the great idea of using wooden dowel rods! She directed me to the area and let me leave my plant fertilizers, etc. at her register. When I went to the lumber area, a gentleman helped me. He explained that it was his second day on the job :o). I described what I needed and we found them together. He exclaimed that he learned something new! I just loved his friendliness, attitude, and openness! Same with the woman in the garden section who helped me! My name is Jim, I have been a frequent Home Depot customer for years. I have consistently given Home Depot my business based on great product selection and exceptional customer service. My recent experience has shaken my faith in Home Depot's commitment to customer service. My wife and I started a full basement family room remodel in fall 2022. The following outlines our experience. * We met with Sandy at the 3400 Highland Ave in Cincinnati OH, store number 3832. Our interactions with Sandy were great, she helped with details of the layout. * We purchased Thomasville cabinets, which looked great on display and had the style/color we wanted. Sandy and other Home Depot design specialists told us that countertops were a 3 to 4 week special order and install. * We paid in full for the cabinets and other items on September 9th. Other items we purchased were flooring, floor leveler and various other project related materials. * We had our contractor begin demolition of the entire basement on October 10th. * All seemed to be going great, the cabinets arrived at the house on November 1st, which we was confirmed by the delivery company Expo. * After talking with the contractor, we ordered countertops. This order was paid for on October 31st. * Expo brought the cabinets before lunch on a Tuesday. As the delivery was in process, my family watched a box of wall cabinets fall from the truck. Delivery men stacked boxes two high on the dolly, which was on the liftgate of the truck. The top box fell to the street below. The delivery man guy stacked it back on the dolly brought it in my garage. He told me to contact Thomasville for damage issues. Needless to say, that cabinet was damaged severely. * I contacted Thomasville and spoke to Dxxx Wxxx in customer service, who implied that I was STUPID. Thomasville sent new cabinets, however the delay and having to adjust every cabinet cost time and money. Several screws that secure the doors broke off while being adjusted. I have attached pictures that show this damage. * The countertops, which we paid for on the 31st of October, were measured and supposedly ordered by or on November 9th. * We later find that someone at Home Depot store #3832 didn't send the order over to KBR until the first week of December. Sadly, this customer service fiasco doesn't end here. * I have talked to Cam and Lezlie at the Home Depot store several times. Cam told me on December 9th he would be calling the first of the week, so I thought that he would call the 12th or 13th. As of January 9th 2023 have not heard from him. My countertops were installed on December 22nd. * Our contractor completed the project. With the numerous mistakes, delays and adjustments, I had to pay him an additional $3,275.00. read more

I have spent more time in Home Depot this year than I have my entire life and I'm not mad about it (isn't it funny how much more enjoyable this store gets the older you are?). Lately though, most of my time has been spent at the Crestview Hills location, so this was my first recent visit here. Wow... the nursery and outdoor section runs circles around many of the other locations in the area. The variety was really impressive and the plants all looked SUPER healthy. I was mostly here to pick up some soil and a new planter, but I struggled to walk out without purchasing a new plant. The checkout process was super smooth and the staff were friendly and efficient. I would definitely recommend checking out this location for your gardening needs! read more

Last week the delivery driver called me saying I needed to come down from my eleventh floor condo to pick up the gas cooktop I ordered. He said come pick it up as he was not getting out of his truck. Today the Home Depot delivery company called to say he was directed to the loading dock by our doorman. The driver did not press the bell for admittance to the building bUt left and hit and damaged the dock gate. I called Home Depot and was told the guys would not come back today and rescheduled the delivery date 10 days from now. I tried to reason with the Norwood Home Depot service desk to get the delivery for today. They said they were extremely busy and did not have time to call the deliver company. I said, cancel the order and went to the store to pick up documents proving the cancellation. It took the Mgr on Duty over an hour to print the document. Called Tom and Lee appliance stove in Batavia. The refrigerator will be delivered on Thursday, that is Customer Service. Home Depot has no customer service. read more

Last spring, I ordered a patio furniture set and spent over an hour waiting for them to locate my item in the store. How in the world can you LOSE a patio furniture set? Alas, nothing has changed since last summer because I placed a special order for siding (again, a very LARGE item) and when I came to pick it up, they couldn't find it. I had to come back another time once they located it. I'm baffled by how unorganized this place is... and seem to get no apology from any of the associates when all they do is inconvenience me. For in-stock items it's fine, but it's worth the hike to the Crescent Springs or Mason locations if you need to deliver direct-to-store. read more

After visiting 3 hardware stores in 3 hours this weekend, I experienced a stark contrast and learned that I absolutely hate this store. It was busy, but I can understand being shortstaffed for a crazy Saturday. What I experienced was a dark, dingy store, with stock and equipment blocking aisles, and spills everywhere. I needed salt. But selling salt to kill unwanted plants on patios would cut into the lucrative herbicide business. So there was no salt. Luckily I couldn't find the item I was looking for, because there was an enormous crowd at the checkouts, at least 10 deep. The best smell in the whole world is the smell of a hardware store and home depot is as good as it gets. We were looking for daylight energy saver bulbs for our new apartment and could not find any variety in any other stores near by. By the time we got here, we had been to Kroger, Walmart etc. In HD, we found a wide selection for brands, watts and practically unlimited quantity. We could not explore the entire store because they were closing in 15 minutes. We will be back soon. read more

Recently in the location in Pleasant Ridge, OH. Experienced difficulty securing tile from another location directly. Customer Service (Trina) patiently contacted the alternate location and had the tile held for me for immediate pick-up by my husband. She provided EXCELLENT customer service in the hectic environment on a Saturday afternoon when the store was packed. She did not become overwhelmed and represented HD very well. Currently rehabing our new house and this is our Home Depot of choice: 1) Paint employees are wonderful - They have mixed literally over a dozen testers for me, even 6 at one time without any complaints which I really do appreciate - and it never takes more then 10-15 minutes 2) Always give us the military discount which is great 3) Dog friendly so I can bring my rescue with me and she loves walking around the store read more

Bought a heater there that never worked right. Talked to someone to return it and was informed that is have to take it up with the manufacturer. The manufacturer says home depot is responsible, after I've worked on it for 4 hours in the snow. I called back and spoke with a manager that's says "you can bring it back within 90 days" Would have been nice to know when I asked the first time I asked and it wouldn't have cost me $20 per hour to pay my helper and the $500 I would've received from finishing my project today. In my life, I've spent no less than 1 million dollars there. I had the absolute BEST customer service from the managers Jenny & Keely! I was scammed by our hired contractor who made purchases/tool rentals at the Pleasant Ridge store and Beechmont store. I called both stores late Monday evening to do some research and when I spoke with Jenny at the Pleasant Ridge location she immediately dropped what she was doing to assist my husband and I. We ended up going out to the store that evening to discuss further. She went above and beyond. We had to go back in the morning to get things sorted out and since Jenny was off, Keely took care of us and did an outstanding job as well. Jenny assisted her on the phone to walk her through right to do. Keely even wrote down three contractors names that are preferred by the store along with calling them/emailing them to let them know I need help. A contractor called me within an hour to talk. Talk about fast service! To top everything off, Jenny even called me and followed up to make sure everything was complete! I manage a retail store myself and can't say enough how outstanding the service I received was! THANK YOU!! read more

I spent $1529.95 purchasing a new washer and dryer with reorientation, take away, and installation. I purchased these machines 9/30/18 with the 35% discount sale. I have also purchased my dishwasher from here, in which we had serious installation problems as well... The sales associate's name was Kaleha S; she lacked any knowledge of the products she was selling, was completely alone in the appliance department, and frankly we are blessed we knew what we wanted because she would not have made the sale otherwise. When we asked about extender parts and dryer hook ups she said we could use the hook ups we had and they would install, and that they could switch the positions of the washer and dryer and an extension was not necessary. She didn't explain the delivery process at all because she did not have any knowledge of what happens. This process left me feeling uneasy. Fast forward to the installation process; The nice men from Freight rite DDPPR show up and are not prepared to install our machines, we all get out our paper work, and compared, he sees that I have installation but no dryer cord and the problem becomes clear. I jump on the phone with the Home Depot 3832 Pleasant Ridge ave store and ask for a manager I eventually get sent to Jeanette N_____ specialty department supervisor who tells me that Freight rite needs to give me a cord. The young men say to her they are not responsible for what their sales associate does correctly or incorrectly but they cannot just do what she is asking, and they have no Home Depot cords on the truck to give/sell, and they hang up. A few minutes later I receive a call back she tells me she cannot get ahold of a supervisor of freight rite, but that they will give me a cord. By this point freight rite has left and I am asking her to remove installation because this process was a "shit show". I then suggest that Kaleha goes back to home depot school as she is uneducated in her department and if nothing more be moved to something simpler, and Jeanette calls me rude! It is at this moment I felt compelled to write this review and email corporate. I may have been rude in suggesting she be sent back to Home Depot school, but an uneducated employee is dangerous especially when it comes to home repair. My refrigerator has died. I need another basic white one to replace it. It can be new but very reasonably priced, used or a marked down scratch and dent one. This is the mission that took me to Home Depot after work. I found a very nice selection of more upscale models priced from $1000 to over $2000. There was a smaller but good selection of the basic white full size models with several of them marked at a temporary sale price. I had looked up refrigerators online but just had to see them in person. I made some notes and went on to look for a gallon of bug spray. This seems to have been a particularly bad year for bugs wanting to come into my house. The bug spray is conveniently located in the seasonal section at the front of the store. There was a good variety to choose from some priced a little bit better than others. I had to read the packaging so it required 3 or4 minutes to make my choice. The checkout process was fast with a friendly store associate there to assist me. The Bioadvanced Home Pest brand that I purchased has not completely impressed me so far. Yesterday I unhappily did a tour of about 4 of our cities big box hardware stores. Ugh! Not the way I wanted to spend my Saturday! However this gives me some good Yelp! Review fodder. So here's the best of the stores I visited. As I did this tour of duty I was less than impressed by all of the stores. Well actually, I was less than impressed by the employees of the stores. All the stores were clean, well organized, and priced just about the same. But for me, a novice when it comes to home improvement, the employees are what makes or breaks the store. I'm looking for a store that employees knowledgeable staff which can solve my problem quickly and with the least amount of pain. The staff at Home Deploy immediately pointed me in the right direction, plumbing, when I walked in the door. When I found the isle some one listened to my problem and quickly realized I was over his head. He called the expert in immediately. Yeah! We're on the right path. So the expert shows up. He listens and asks a bunch of questions and then we start to figure out what I need. We try a few things, but nothing is working. I know what I need, but don't know what it's called, or where in the store to find it. At this point I had visited 3 other big box hardware stores and was at the end of my rope. While the extremely helpful sales guy was looking and trying a few things I wandered off. I turned the corner and found JUST the right piece. So while the sales people were super nice and seemed knowledgeable, they still were not all that useful in solving my problem. Of the 4 stores I visited, this was the best of what I saw. So next time I think I'll just find a handyman instead. read more

Tool rental is terrible: I shop Home Depot all the time. We are remodeling and they have the best prices and are near my house. I rented tool from them that ended up only working intermittently. It was frustrating and wasted a lot of time. Retired it and they treated me like I was a novice and insulted my ability. I did not get a full refund. I placed an online order for pickup, I received the, (order is ready email) on Tuesday 5-11 but it was very heavy so I waited until Saturday 5-15 to pick it up when I could bring someone to help me with it. When I arrived at the store to pick it up, (4 days later), I was told that my order was still on the truck and it would be an hour and a half before they could get it off the truck and have it ready for me. I left the store and returned 2 hours later. The order was at the customer service counter when I arrived. Then after waiting another 20 minutes, the idiots at customer service had a young guy (some people would refer to him as mentally challenged) take it out to my truck with a pallet jack so he could pick it up and put it in my truck. It weighs 290 lbs. I told him he needs to tell the idiots at customer service to have someone bring it out with a fork lift to put it into the truck. That took another half hour. The pickup receipt said the order was a will call. I wouldn't know how to place an order for will call since Home Depot's online ordering only offers pickup and shipping, there is no mention of will call orders. The email does not mention a will call order either. The email that I received said very clearly, your order is ready for pickup, pick up location (customer service) and is also eligible for curbside pickup and they could bring my order out to my vehicle while I wait. Why would I want to wait in my vehicle for 2 hours? The only mentally challenged people I met at this Home Depot were working at the customer service counter. I can't imagine how Home Depot is able to keep this pathetic location open. Home Depot should find someone who can write an accurate email. Instead of (your order is ready for pick up). It should say (your order has arrived at the store, call the store 2 hours before you are coming to pick it up and we'll make a poor attempt to have it ready so you'll only have to wait a half hour to an hour after you arrive). Also hiring people with some common sense would probably help. The item is still sitting in my truck because I'm thinking, I may want to take it back and have them come out and get it out of my truck so I can return it for a refund and give Lowes a try with the order. The idiots can lift it out of my truck and carry it into the store themselves or use a forklift, if they can think of it themselves. read more

Since the lockdowns started, I have utilized curbside pickup at many types of stores, in many locations, including two close proximity competitors to this Home Depot. I have ordered for curbside pickup twice now for this location, and I am thoroughly impressed and beyond satisfied with my experience. This is hands down the BEST pickup situation I've had at ANY type of business yet since covid started. Friendly, prompt, wearing masks and adhering to social distancing. I even ordered wood and it was not warped or ugly (much better than the experience I had with a nearby Ace) A+ from me, and I will continue to purchase from this store from now on. I recently visited this Home Depot for the first time in many years. My daughter attended a birthday party, and that was phenomenal. The staff was great and it was well organized. The store itself was not. While my daughter was in the birthday party I shopped the store for a few things on my weekend project materials list. This store is organized so differently than any other Home Depot that I've been in, it was like shopping at an entirely different store. It felt like going to a different location of a grocery store you always shop at, and everything is reversed. Also, there were signs posted everywhere about the parking lot being monitored by security cameras, so I was a little nervous about that. In a pinch, this location will do and they'll have everything you need. You just might need to hunt for it a bit. read more

We were remodeling our home and because we weren't expecting to stay here more than one or two years, we didn't want to spend a lot. We went to Home Depot, knowing that they had some decent cabinets and thought we could keep our costs down ( they were also having a sale). We got a price, but just for kicks we went to a local kitchen and bath cabinet company. My husband was expecting their prices to be at least 50% more, if not double. This is a great company that sells custom and semi-custom cabinets. Our jaws dropped when their estimate came in at 20% LESS than Home Depot! And this is for a company that makes quality semi-custom cabinets! In a nutshell, do not expect Home Depot to be your best buy! read more

Whoa. I knew service was bad due to the pandemic, but what Home Depot did was ridiculous. They refused to exchange a Dremel Rotary Tool lacking a power cord EVEN THOUGH WE HAD A RECEIPT. The Dremel was brand new. They said my husband "was a problem." That's because he returned too many things BECAUSE THEY RANG UP THE SAME PRODUCT THREE TIMES.
