Following a flue blockage of our wood burning fireplace after an ice storm blocked our chimney cap, we had to replace our fireplace and replace it an the tile surround. We found the tile at one store but we unable to find the grout color we wanted anywhere in Cincinnati or the internet!!! My wife happened to suggest floor and decor and she called them and they had the pre-mixed color in stock!!! We immediately drive out, picked it up, and I was able to complete the grouting of the tile setting our fireplace installers had done. It was the perfect color! Just had the absolute worst customer service I've ever had. There were two registers open, and the one I approached the woman said "you can go to the other one, I get done soon". The other cashier apologized and said how rude she was, and I agreed. The other woman who was one the phone said " this Mother F....... Is looking at me funny cause I don't wanna help him". She continued to be very vulgar and talked very poorly about me. I asked her name, and neither one would tell me, so I took her picture. As a contractor I can tell you this place is the best bang for your buck. They have a fantastic variety at great prices. Go compare to Tile Shop or Florida Tile, just to find out. BUT don't trust their stock off the website. The website is not accurate. Also make sure you check quantity stock for your project before you begin because they are bad at ordering extra material. If you run short it will kill your schedule. They have only one local store so you can't pick things up from another store and cross shipping is not dependable Great thing is they have a great return policy. Get extra and you can return it. Great granite pricing and hardwood flooring. Great tools and supplies. Not cheap tools like Depot. I only wish they had another store read more

The customer service provided at Floor & Decor is exceptional. All of the associates are very attentive and helpful when called upon. There was an associate in particular named Danielle who went above and beyond to give great service. She was our cashier and answered all our questions about the products we were ordering. She personally walked me to the back of the store to show me which metal edging to buy for my shower project. Then she suggested I become a pro-customer after hearing I owned rental property. She walked me to the pro desk and introduced me to the pro-associates. They got me all signed up and educated me to the benefits of being a pro customer. I had been dreading going in to attempt to pick out the tile for an update to my MBR shower. I made an appointment with the designer, Elizabeth Williams. I arrived early in order to first look around the store and was completely overwhelmed with the different choices. Once my appointment time arrived, I met with Elizabeth. She listened to what I liked and didn't and I discussed my project as well as my concerns with her. I brought a sample of my existing floor tile and she grabbed a sample cart and we walked though the store while she began providing recommendations and ideas. Within a short time, she arranged several different selections and then gave options and recommendations regarding tiles, colors, and grout selections. She then provided a list of what all I would need for my project and what each option would cost. I couldn't have asked for better service and assistance. What an absolute treasure this lady is. Thank you so much for your help. I am now looking forward to getting it all installed and I wouldn't have been able to come up with anything that looks as good. Thanks again!! I recently bought a house that i've been working to fix up. My first project was re-doing my bathroom which I hired a contractor to do. He recommended a couple of places for tile and this being one of them. First let me start by saying the prices are awesome and low! But you sacrifice customer service, knowledge and sheer friendliness for the price. One worker had no idea what I was talking about when I asked for the type of thin-set I needed for my shower tile so she looked it up on her phone and told me the wrong stuff. I waited and called my contractor, the manager ended up seeing me and recommended something completely different and correct this time. He was great. When I ended up buying my floor tile the workers told me that the only difference between ceramic and porcelain was that one was inside tile one worked for inside and outside. My contractor was SHOCKED that they said this. Then, the guy wheeled the tile out to my car, didn't load it and then gave me a box of the incorrect color. When I went back in the guy at the register said well the other guy went to the bathroom and I can't leave my register. Didn't call for help or assure me it would just be a couple minutes. So I then proceeded to walk down to my tile aisle, grab a box of the floor tile myself and left. TAKE YOUR CONTRACTOR WITH YOU IF YOU'RE NOT A PRO. Would never shop here again if doing a DIY project. read more

After a 2 Hour Drive to Cincinnati to pick up this tile, we went inside to get information on where to pick our product up. I wanted to check with the design center just to verify our quantities are correct before leaving, to avoid a return trip. The young gal at the design center should not be in this position. Although nice, she really does not do the company a good service at all in this position. I would not think for a second she would add any value to my tile selections, nor have the ability to drag me in the right location or figure quantities after working with her for 10 minutes. When we found our way around back, it was a bit scary as it looks like a dump. I understand you're doing construction but, it goes way beyond that with all the trash and disorganization of the area. I went inside and spoke to a lady at the counter, which she never once looked me in the eye said hello or smiled one time at all. She was very cold, just in genuine, told me she counted all the tile herself so to make sure everything is fine and then just dismissed me. Another gentleman brought the tile out his name was Dan as I recall. He was very friendly and very helpful. He went out of his way to make sure everything is right. I asked him if we could count and look at the tile to make sure it wasn't broken. He said yes and accommodated me and was very friendly and helpful. We found broken tile and every box which he was very helpful in replacing. So, I encountered three people at your store. None of them should be in the position they are in. The design center gal was in way over her head and would not add value to the company. The gal that ran the back pick up area. Had a 'I couldn't care less' attitude. And the gentleman that helped me load the tile that went way above and beyond any expectations, should be in a management position, not hauling tile out and handing it off. read more

First off, Debbie, in flooring helped us get the nucore flooring we were looking for and gave us our own little personal tutorial on how to lay the floor etc. A couple weeks later we were back to look for tile for the shower. When we lived in Georgia, we found this place and we were happily surprised to find a location here in Ohio. This store so blows everyone else out of the water. Here's why: Staff is available and helpful. But if you want to be left alone to ponder the wonders of "floors" they will let you browse forever. They also have designers that will guide you as necessary. Anita was super nice. Variety of options is huge. Very trendy stuff and plenty of basics. I would like to see a bit more edgy inventory, but time will tell as they continue to grow and learn the market here. PRICES are half of many other "Tile" stores in the area. You will love the prices and if you are flexible and can go for the featured items, you can save even more. Samples and return policy is fair and easy. Take it home, play with it, bring it back. order enough and return your overruns. No problem, no guilt. Music they play is good too. I know that's subjective, but it makes my hours spent matching, picking, wondering, wandering and thinking more fun and fruitful. Huge fan.
