The owner was friendly during our visit and was very helpful and affable. The addition of the shop dog, Louie - a french bulldog, made this a well-rounded and adorable trip. An employee came outside and said, "May you please not relieve your dog here". I said of course, I wouldn't do that, he is just sniffing around. It was a very reasonable ask from the employee. She was very pleasant and seem knowledgeable. I contacted her through email for a consultation a few days later. I heard nothing for 6 days and sent another email to her and to the main email for Hoffman and Albers. Heidi responded that she never received my email, but we could schedule something for the current week. I responded with a day and told her I could get more specific about the time. I sent another email the following day with a specific time, asking if that would work out. Again, I heard nothing back. I finally sent an email that this wasn't going to work and received a response to that. Without going into detail, it was not the most professional response. I am surprised that in an industry where communication and customer relations are vital, Hoffman and Albers failed miserably. That should be a red flag for anyone seeking design services. I came willingly with checkbook open, and couldn't even get a consultation scheduled.
