If you desire the very best in interior design, call Sally Waxman. She is someone who will work to…read moreunderstand your needs and will treat you with courtesy and respect. Sally is the most stylish person you'll ever meet and she has an uncanny ability to become one with her customers sense of style. She brings a lifetime of design talents coupled with a cadre of supporting consultants, artists, painters, construction experts, and an in-depth knowledge of product types and trends We first used Sally in 2003 when we bought a new house and it needed some finishing touches. Sally interviewed us, assessed our needs, and then brought over to our house all manners of wallhangings, lamps, shades, valance material, and accessories. In 2014 we undertook a complete renovation. We wanted a couch that we had seen at the Waldorf in Rome a few years past. We described it to Sally and she called the hotel in Rome, then visited the local material library and brought everything together. The couch was perfect. We were also influenced by the beautiful marble bathrooms that we experienced while in Europe. Sally put us in touch with a bathroom architect that had done projects in such prestigious locations as the Venetian in Las Vegas. Our bathroom is the crowning achievement of the project, and was such a stunning piece of work that the contractor placed a photograph of it on the cover of his marketing brochure. If it's one lamp or a whole house re-decoration, Sally will be your partner. She never disappoints and is dogged in her pursuit of perfection. Through her business, she makes friends and builds relationships. You will look forward to the end of your project, but you will also know that you will miss her when it's done. We have wanted to redo our great room for awhile and the timing was finally right. I stopped in…read moreHoffman and Albers briefly one evening and spoke with a designer, Heidi. She was very pleasant and seem knowledgeable. I contacted her through email for a consultation a few days later. I heard nothing for 6 days and sent another email to her and to the main email for Hoffman and Albers. Heidi responded that she never received my email, but we could schedule something for the current week. I responded with a day and told her I could get more specific about the time. I sent another email the following day with a specific time, asking if that would work out. Again, I heard nothing back. I finally sent an email that this wasn't going to work and received a response to that. Without going into detail, it was not the most professional response. I am surprised that in an industry where communication and customer relations are vital, Hoffman and Albers failed miserably. That should be a red flag for anyone seeking design services. I came willingly with checkbook open, and couldn't even get a consultation scheduled.

I give Budget Blinds a one-star rating due to issues with customer service, communication with…read morecustomers, and adherence to their warranty on blinds. Specifically, I purchased multiple blinds in the winter of 2024 which were installed in the spring of 2024. One of the blinds broke the first week of December of 2024 and I immediately emailed the salesperson concerning this issue. She requested that I provide a photo which I did and inquired whether I wanted to use my no questions asked warranty which I said yes. I had not heard anything for numerous weeks, so I emailed the salesperson in late February 2025 and continued to email her on multiple occasions. I never received a response. I subsequently called the office and left a message. I received a message the next day because they wanted more specifics. I called him back three times and left a message with someone at the office. I also sent another picture. Based on my experience, I do not recommend Budget Blinds, especially since there are so many other options where one can buy blinds.

Wayne Stephens Cabinetry (WSC) is the only cabinet company my wife and I will use. WSC provided the…read morecabinets and countertops for our kitchen, bathroom and butler's bar renovation. I worked with Wayne Stephens himself. He came out to our house, looked at our areas and asked us what our vision was. Wayne took a bunch of measurements and week or so later, he had complete drawings of our new kitchen for my wife and I to review. We went to Wayne's office where he walked us through every detail of our new kitchen layout. He drew up a kitchen based on our requirements and let us make as many changes as we wanted. He used his many years of experience to respectfully make recommendations to prevent us from doing things we may later regret. After our cabinets were installed, we noticed some imperfections with a few of the cabinet doors (apparently this is fairly common with white cabinets). Wayne and the cabinet manufacturer's representative came out to my house to look at them and replaced them at no cost to us with no argument. Wayne is extremely detailed. I never knew how much thought had to go into laying out cabinetry. He thinks of things I never even knew were important. Wayne is also extremely responsive. He even replies to text messages and returns phone calls while on vacation. We are planning to renovate our basement this summer and will be using Wayne Stephens cabinetry.

This business sits quietly and unassumingly off Dixie Highway in a residential neighborhood, but if…read morecabinetry is something you are in the market for, I would not pass this place up. They do a lot of semi-custom and custom work for bathrooms, kitchens, etc., and we almost overlooked it because we were not in the mood for getting taken for a ride. I am glad we gave them a shot because they have excellent products all made in America at very reasonable prices. We told him the dimensions for the space that we wanted our vanity in and he straight up drew a design right in front of us. As a test, we got a quote from W. Stephens for the vanity and then turned around and asked Lowe's the make the same thing. Number one, they couldn't make exactly what we wanted and number 2, they were not cheaper (maybe by a hundred or so dollars but the materials they were using were not as high quality). I would strongly recommend that you drop by W. Stephens. He does business all over the country but he is never too busy to service anyone who needs it. We only needed a vanity this time, but, because of his great service, we are definitely using him for our kitchen remodel. Just remember, there is quite a bit of assembly once you get your cabinets. Be prepared. Sidenote: This place had plenty of people that have engineering and architecture degrees. And if they can't do it for you, they have a specialist nearby who can step in and help you with any design advice.
