Bromwell's, where have you been all my life! Now, I've never been in the market to purchase a fireplace, but this store is much more...so much more. Bromwell's is the oldest store in Cincinnati, established in 1819. Walk through the doors and prepare to be amazed. This place is far from just a showroom for fireplaces, but an architectural wonder and an art gallery. The first thing that caught my eye was the back wall, which was entirely made of wood logs. Initially, I thought this was elaborate wall paper. Then I found out that the owner, Jeff, designed the wall himself out of logs. Look closely, there are small animals camouflaged amongst it! In addition to the hearths, you'll find oak tables, mantles, and all sorts of "woodsman" decor downstairs. Ascend the stairwell to the second floor and you'll find a mesmerizing art gallery. This area is 7,000 square feet of beauty. The main room is spacious and often rented out for elite events with Procter & Gamble. Gigantic paintings line the walls, all for purchase. Each is by a local artist, and the work has a theme relevant to Cincinnati. I love the pop culture art mixed with the elegant sofas and furnishings. Neighboring rooms twist and turn through the hallways, revealing dining settings highlighted by a glistening moon portrait, a wine bottle chandelier, a study filled with globes and vintage artifacts, and the posh space-themed hallway, complete with green fiber optic lighting. A gallery to the side features artwork from Raymond Thunder-Sky, a Cincinnati icon who wore a clown suit, visited construction sites, conducted music to the workers, then sat down to sketch out inspiring scenes. His landscapes line the walls, but the focal point of the room are two animatronic clowns from a 1940's window display. I repeat: ANIMATRONIC CLOWNS! Flip the switch, watch them dance. One even loses his hat. Even if you're not in need of a fireplace, Bromwell's welcomes all visitors. Bring a cup a coffee, stop by on your lunch break, take a look around. My fireplace is gas and I could not get the power unit unit to work. I made an appointment and it was 2 weeks out they arrived on time he was easily able to identify what was wrong didn't try to upsell me he did a thorough job of cleaning the entire unit inside and out even removing each log and vacuum it off. I would absolutely recommend broomwell fireplaces I have used it in the past and I will continue to use them in the future read more

Amazing place to look for strong decorative accents for your home. I do not have a fire place so I mainly look for knick knacks to fill my home. The prices definitely range well. Once you first see an item you may think the price will be high but they are very reasonable. Some things are priced high but you are paying for high quality. I'm very proud of a local Cincinnati establishment taking there business to the next level by trying something new by branching off from what they are mainly known for and going all in with a different adventure. There are simply not enough words to express how incredible our experience was with Bromwell's. I knew they had been in business for many years, so when we decided to replace our non-vented fireplace with a vented one, I definitely wanted to include them in our search. But after having spoken to them, there was no doubt who I intended to use. My husband wanted to get at least one more bid, but I was convinced from the onset that we would end up using Bromwell's and we did. Thank God! Our job was much more complicated than we could have anticipated due to the small stone tiles we had recently installed on the entire wall. Not only did they have to cut out the drywall from the adjoining bedroom to get in through the back, but they had to hand remove the backing from the stone in order for the fireplace insert to sit flush against it. They also had to cut and paint metal plates to cover areas that would allow light to penetrate since the stones were not even. Despite the complicated nature of the install, JT tackled it head-on and it looks amazing!!! From our first encounter with their sales reps to our last goodby when the job was complete, we could not have had a better experience. Bromwell's is the best company I have ever dealt with when it comes to both product and service. Even the drywall person, Mike, exceeded all expectations. The drywall repair looks better than it did before he started! Everyone went out of their way to make sure we were satisfied and inconvenienced as little as possible. They were punctual, took pride in their work, courteous, cleaned up each day before they left -- wore booties or put down protection on the floors -- you name it, they did it! They went above and beyond what would have been sufficient. If it were possible to give them more than 5 stars you bet they would get them from me. In fact, I would be curious as to why anyone would rate them any less. They are a knowledgeable, professional, and caring organization. It's no wonder they have been in business for decades.
