Overpriced! Placed an order in July for two expensive planters that have still not shipped so I canceled the order. The person who cancelled the order showed no compassion with the frustration of ordering something and constantly finding out that the order ship date was moved out. Also, I rarely go an email telling me that it was delayed, I normally only found out when I went on the site to check. I don't recommend this company! read more

Something happened to this company or perhaps the cost of transportation has impacted its model. Had purchased numerous pieces of furniture in the past with good results. Unfortunately, this past time I had a horrible experience in that the worthless shipper who they chose or who bid the transport from Phoenix to my home in N. Arizona dropped the ball completely. Everytime over period of weeks into a month refused to schedule a delivery date. I believe they didn't want to make the trip due to energy costs. Finally they flat out told me they wouldn't deliver it. grandin road did not step up and make it right so I cancelled the order. I lost out on the purchase which was dicounted. I will never purchase from them again. Don't waste your time. read more

Avoid this company--terrible customer service and unresolved issues. We ordered several chairs and tables, but two chairs arrived broken and two were the wrong color. We have contacted the company multiple times by both phone and email just asking for replacements. It has been over a month now; we have official UPS proof that the incorrect/damaged items were returned, yet we have received neither our replacement chairs nor a refund. read more

buyer beware! I placed an order on August 1st and on Sept 1st it still has not shipped. the website says in stock and I am told it will not ship for at least another week. over a month is ridiculous!! my first and last experience with them read more

I purchased an item online. I had changed my address prior to the purchase. They sent it to an address I had not lived at for 6 years, which is in a different state than where I reside. The offered absolutely no help despite their error. They told me to return the item, which is impossible given its location. They said they would give me a store credit once they received the returned item. I have no way of contacting the person living at my old address and now am out money for nothing. Terrible customer service. read more

We were shopping for a rug for our deck and found one at a Grandin Road store. The item did not have information or a description attached, so we questioned the salesperson specifically if the rug would be suitable for our situation. We were assured that it would. The first day it was out, we had rain, and a gel-like substance oozed through the fibers and sides of the rug. When we contacted their customer service we were told it was for COVERED outdoor use only, not suitable for direct outdoor weather. The one-star review rating is charitable. This is our only and last purchase from this company. read more

Overpriced queen inflatable bed. Bought about 5 years ago but used 6 times. A couple years ago went to use it and mattress wouldn't hold air. Called and they send another nattress as they knew that if it was folded for a long time it dried, cracked and leaked. DAH, ITS A PORTABLE BED. This year put new mattress on and now bed frame fell apart and screw split mattress open. Their response is its out of warranty. Don't waste your money on this as you can find similar at stores like Walmart for a fraction of price. read more

Bought a pre-lit wall hanging Christmas tree online in Nov 2023. Used it approx 2 months in Nov and Dec 2023. After the holidays, I removed the batteries and stored in original box in a storage closet indoor (not attic or basement). Used again in Nov and Dec 2024 and stored the same way. This year (Nov 2025), went to hang the tree and it would not light. Even though I knew it was past the one-year warranty for a defective item, I contacted Grandin Road and explained that even though the item was two years old, it had only been used for 4 months, and was there anything they could do for me. I was pleasantly surprised when the Customer Service rep (Kim) said she would escalate it to her internal product specialist team for an out of warranty review. Within one day I heard from the Product Specialist (Kaci) asking for a couple a photos of the item, so they could share it with their quality team to explore options. I sent a couple pictures, and within a day I received an email from another Product Specialist (Julie) offering me a gift card for the full value of the tree, which I received within a week. Very pleased they were able to go outside their stated warranty policy and understand the situation that this item was purchased two years ago, it had only been used four months. (I only gave it four stars instead of five because it shouldn't have broken/become defective after four months use in the first place.) read more

Worst customer service. Do not recommend. Go elsewhere. Total rip off. Beware of shipping charges.

I only ordered from here once for a halloween decoration. It was fine, but way too overpriced. Seems like everything is! The large 4 in a row game they list for 199 you can find at Hobby Lobby for 80 dollars! Just saying. Maybe this is for rich people and they don't care about money but if u go on Trust Pilot and look up reviews, there are quite a few people saying the same thing, especially about customer service being poor and the quality for the price. But hey! Maybe you've just got a ton of money to blow. read more

Customer Services - NOT Unfortunately, there is not a store close to me so I called and asked about ordering and if the item isn't to my standards, would I be able to return and the answer was absolutely, so I placed the order got it quickly and of course it was not something we wanted to keep, which is where the problem starts. Sure they absolutely said they would issue me a refund once they got the product back. That was the problem after 4 phone calls and a month NOTHING yet, so I finally had to call my credit card company (because if they don't pick it up they don't have to credit you - spoke to a manger before I called Chase and he did NOTHING but lip Service so don't bother buying anything from them, unless you want to keep it LOL read more

I am so unhappy with this company. I ordered an item online before the holidays (Dec 16) and never received it. After waiting a suitable period (mid January), I called customer support to ask where my purchase was. They were so unhelpful. They said the package was lost in transit and that I could request a refund OR wait until MAY for the item to be resent. What? The month of MAY? Order was placed in December and was supposed to be a gift! I took the refund. I lost all trust with this company. Buyer beware... read more

This company engages in bait and switch practices! The bottom line, I tried to purchase a storage ottoman that was offered on clearance at Grandin Road's website. I was prevented from proceeding to check out, so I contacted Customer Service. The agent confirmed that the item was available, and was on sale. However, the sale price I was quoted on the phone was $237.00, not the $84.98 that was advertised! I was instructed to call the following day and talk to a salesperson, and no; the item could not be held till then. When I called back, the ottoman that was offered, and available on the web in several colors was "sold out". My protests that when I was trying to pay the price they asked for the ottoman, it was available, and in several acceptable colors, went on deaf ears. Several exchanges and escalations to upper management later, and the most they could do was offer to pay for shipping and "throw in" a $25.00 gift certificate for a future purchase, all of which still brought the bottom line to about $90.00 above the price offered on the website! I, for one, will never shop at Grandinroad again! If a company cannot honor their own offer, they must really be in dire straits! Regardless, to the best of my knowledge, Bait and Switch is not legal! How can they actually get away with doing business this way??? read more

I ordered a set of 5 "Hacienda" candlesticks in black for $149 (plus $$$ shipping). I just got them. There are weird bumps and lumps in the "wood" and spots where there's no paint...and spots where there are HOLES. The finish itself is like a third grader speedily painted it on with the cheapest chalky paint from the back of the art closet. It's got a dusty quality that I can't seem to get clean. When touched, it leaves marks, and when wiped off, the material snags or the black comes off. Of course, these are made in China, which (shame on me) I didn't check on first. Still, I thought that they'd look better than something in a craft store clearance bin leftover from the 80s. I'd never have even picked them up at a lawn sale "free" bin. So disappointed!! What a sham! *update* I know...in the grand scheme of life, this is a small thing. Wah, my pricey candle sticks are garbage. Woe is me. But in this crazy time, I try to be careful with spending and yet enjoy the little things like making my home look pretty. Hey, I'm here 24/7 now, so it's less depressing if things are changed up. I just think if you're going to charge $149 (plus a whopping shipping fee) for a product, it should be decent. A business should ensure that. I've honestly bought nicer stuff at Michaels. And I just wanted to warn others about the extreme shoddiness of these particular pieces. 8/13 (Changing my rating to 3 stars because I remembered I've order some decent pieces from Grandin. I'll add them to the pics. So I guess it's a crapshoot on quality. I love the stuff that was good quality, of course. Lol read more

I'm reviewing on my most recent experiences with Grandinroad. I ordered on May 29, 2021 and ended up placing the order via phone with a customer service rep. This review is not for her, she was very nice and helpful. She tried to place the order for me but the order was now showing as on backorder until August. Ok, COVID...maybe. So I give the benefit of the doubt and go on faith that the order will come as indicated. I really wanted the item for our guest bedroom before guests arrived. Obviously, it did not. Three guest visits later still no item. As of September 5, 2021 still no delivery and no communication that it was delayed. After tracking down my order confirmation from MAY, I search for the item on line to see if it says backordered. It does not, and is still being printed in the last few catalogs. This doesn't make sense to me, so I call customer service. She says the item is now on backorder until some time in NOVEMBER. I can't believe it. I wish I would have shopped local. At this point I feel vested, and decide to wait it out if they throw in an extra discount. $45 shipping Originally a $500 item. I'll keep this order and this rating, but if I find something I like just as much in the same price range, I am canceling never to order with them again, nor would I recommend. Send my item, and I'll change the review for the item. Bad customer service Grandinroad. Shame on you. You're not shipping items so you have time to make a courtesy call. Would have saved face. read more

I had to laugh when I saw the outrageous prices in their Halloween Haven catalog. Must be catering to people who don't give a crap about cost. Ordered outdoor furniture in May and still have not received it, even though it has been sitting in the "regional office" for over a week. Their delivery company, JB Hunt, has farcically bad customer service. We wrote Grandin Road and they promised to contact JB Hunt and offered a $100 discount on shipping. Ordered a coffee table that was "guaranteed" to be here by Xmas (2weeks after order date). 6 weeks later and it hasn't even been SHIPPED yet. Several emails, live chats and phone calls later (including a phone call demanding a supervisor) and still nothing. They keep saying "it's being moved to a different warehouse and will be shipped from there." Okay but WHY can't ANYONE tell me when (at least approximately) that will happen?! Communication is awful, and I am extremely disappointed in this company. The best they have done so far is given a $50 credit toward my $500 order. After all this trouble it ought to be free if you ask me. read more

Great experience returning something we bought. Would definitely use them again. They offer quality merchandise.

Horrible customer service. There is zero follow up in regards to ensuring customers receive their orders. This place very expensive and when you call to find out about why there are delays you are given a range of scripted excuses with no desire to be spoken to. I paid $1200 for 4 stools and got spoken to like I was worth $5. This is not a company that distributors should do business with nor customers. Their items look great and unique but I don't have any guarantees after speaking to the agent that I will be seeing my items within the next 6 months. It is times like this that show companies abilities. There are many companies that are able to fulfill orders in a timely fashion, this is not one of them. read more

i was interested in purchasing four barstools. I first ordered a swatch to make sure the color worked. Swatches are not free! I placed two separate orders for swatches and never received one! I ordered swatches of fabric before ordering some slipper upholstered dining chairs . First of all, the gray sample was darker than the actual fabric that was delivered. I have ordered several items from GR. The embroidered chairs were great. I ordered two faux leather chairs and one had to be replaced b/c it was punctured. My most recent order was the pine hutch. It's like plywood pretending to be wood. It was over $1000 and is not worth $500. I'm so annoyed as I spent so much time unpacking it. The doors do not shut and hey offered me $97 off to keep it. I have found many items for home decor and furniture at the outlet for a real bargain! it can be hit or miss.

Tried to order something online. Added it to my cart with sales price and then the price doubled to cover "free shipping." I don't think so.

I have nothing but good things to say about my shopping experience & how the delivery problem was solved not by the UPS delivery persons inability to get out of the vehicle & delivery my ottom, but by an employee Angel Ty, who went above & beyond to straighten out a delivery problem, Grandin Road should be proud that you have this person in your employ representing the company .Thanks again so much ! read more

I loved the chairs we received! They are so beautiful in our home, AMAZING quality! They shipped so fast to us, and easily put together.

Rude and incompetent. Bought a sofa from Grandinroad and paid for "white glove" service as we are in our 70's and the sofa is 84 inches and heavy leather. "White glove" means they set the sofa up. Well they left it on it's side and would not screw in the 6 legs and turn it over. Grandinroad has lodged a complaint with J.B. Hunt and are paying us to have someone come out and turn the sofa upright as J.B. Hunt REFUSED to send the driver and helper back k out and said we can wait 3-7 days til they can get around to it. If possible avoid this company. We will never purchase from Grandinroad again because this is who they use. read more

Don't believe the online delivery dates when you order. I have two different orders. First-order was placed in December 2021 with a delivery date of February 15, 2022. Well, got an email apologizing but the order is delayed till May 2022, I am doubtful this will even happen and starting to look elsewhere for counter stools. Second-order was placed in mid-January for a Valentine wreath with an immediate ship date, yea I have a new front door decoration! NOT - received first email delaying till 1/31/2022 and now just received noticed it is due 2/14/2022. It is a wreath for decorations for Valentine's, why would I want it if it was going to ship on Valentine's day, not that it would really ship then either. I ordered a cocktail table that clearly said that it would have "white glove" delivery but UPS dropped a huge box at our door. We are both in our 80's so dealing with a huge table presented a big problem for us. When I went back on the site, I could not find any information for the white glove delivery and when I called Customer Service they said that it was not eligible for that service. I know that it was on the site as I looked at dozens of tables and rejected them either because of only to the door delivery or that they had to be put together.
