It seems legitimately old and worn, if its a reproduction someone has some serious skills. I read that a lot of items come from Asia (I saw a lot from India) and apparently they have buyers that just go out and look for this type of eclectic furniture in bulk and one offs. I had to pay for the delivery. I had to pay extra because I used a credit card, and extra for them to for the set up. The center portion of the couch is not on right. After several calls to the moving company (Queen City Delivery) who was recommended by Bargains and Buyouts, and several calls to the furniture store I'm at my wits end.I even went to the corporate website and used the email address that they advertised (many times to make sure of the address)the email was returned as undeliverable. Left my name several days ago at the store and the manager was supposed to return my call but has not. Frustrated and abandoned by the company.

I've shopped at this Ballard Designs outlet a few time and can say that the experience is…read moreconsistently just fine across the board. The staff are helpful and the prices are definitely reduced, but the items in the store usually have scratches, dents, or other flaws. That being said, you can often find items that you can easily patch yourself or display in a way that minimizes the damage, if you're okay with that. I was nervous to visit during the pandemic, but we wanted to visit since we've been remodeling our house during the lockdown. The staff greeting shoppers outside were friendly and had hand sanitizer for everyone. They provided recommendations for social distancing in-store and explained when large item pick up would be. Once we got into the store, however, the idea of social distancing was out the window. Everyone had a mask on, but there were constantly people all around me, in the narrow aisle ways, squeezing past instead of taking a way around that was clearly available but would require a few more steps. I felt relatively uncomfortable and unsafe inside. As far as the products for sale go, they have a great variety -- chandeliers, lamps, sheets, curio cabinets, chairs, sofas, dining tables and chairs-- you name it! The prices are deeply discounted and the store even runs sales on top of the low prices. I found a unique lamp, a dining room chandelier, a laundry room light, and a chandelier for our rental property. Overall, my experienced at the Ballard Designs outlet was successful in terms of shopping, but the social distancing was lacking, so I felt nervous being there.

The hardest part of the experience was trying to decide what I wanted as I was a bit overwhelmed by the selection. It was more of an art gallery than a rug store, and I mean rug, not carpet. I learned much about what a quality rug was about and how to buy one. You really have to experience a rug before you spent the money. Feel the top and bottom, examine the construction, see the colors under various light and the reflection at different angles Even if you're not in the market to buy at the moment, you enjoy art, like beautiful things, then stop by and take a look at what I'm talking about, it will be time well spent.
