We were looking for a specific style of couch and were quickly helped to look at the couple of option available to us. John was helpful and patient as we discussed style, grouping options, fabric, etc. We took home several swatches of fabric to decide which one would work best for our house. I called John a few days later to let him know what we'd decided and that I'd be bringing back the swatches with a check for the deposit later that day or the following. When I arrived in the showroom that afternoon, he let me know that he'd talked with his rep earlier in the day and found out that the pending orders were being sent in that day to begin production - so rather than waiting for me to get to the store with my deposit, he placed the order so mine would go in with the others and be delivered sooner. This was above and beyond to me. We also ordered a big cocktail table. The table has already arrived and my husband will pick it up this week. The couches are still on schedule to arrive and be delivered by the beginning of June, well within the promised timeline. John is also doing some searching for end tables that might meet our needs. We couldn't be happier with the service we've received so far and are very happy to support a local business owner versus a large national chain.

She arrived 30 minutes late for our first consultation. We arranged a second meeting (on time this time), where she brought fabric books to review. After reviewing them for a few days, I sent Marilyn a text message to talk about next steps. After several days with no response, I sent an email. No response to that either. A week after the email, I left a voice mail at the store. Still no response. When a month had passed of not hearing back from Marilyn, I engaged another designer. Almost two months after my first text, she finally responded to my text and told me she had some family issues but was getting back to my project. I let her know I'd moved on and offered to drop her fabric books back at her store (which I did). Here's the interesting part - when I posted into the same FB group to find her replacement, she actually responded back to me in that group and said she was interested in doing the project - the same project that she had actually started with me and then ignored for two months! Maybe this project was too small for her efforts, but she knew what it entailed when she accepted it. Not a great experience.
