I don't know what else to say besides this place is amazingly delicious!! I will admit, I have only had their garlic parm and seasoned fries. But, it's so good that I don't want to order anything else. Wings are crispy (even when delivered), and they don't drown the wings like how other places do. Of course, the fries won't stay crispy if you deliver. However, they stay tasty! Service is always on point! Tonight I decided to branch out from my normal wing place (Buffalo Wild Wings, sue me), and try a local wing joit. To be fair, the biggest motivators for this decision was that they delivered, and that they offer a different selection of sauces (I've gotten into a baaaad Spicy Garlic habit and needed some change.) I'm a boneless wing girl, and like my wings very crispy! Now, onto the review. I placed an order for delivery and the man that took my order was polite and to the point, a trait that I really value in wait staff. One weird thing was that when asked if I could do four flavors for a Double Portion (20 wing) order, I was told I could only get 2 flavors unless I wanted to "mix" flavors. Alright, whatever, I'll go with two. They quoted my order at 60-75 minutes for delivery, with the actual delivery time coming it at about 45-50 minutes. The driver was nice, too. No problems with staff. My order consisted of two flavors: Buffalo Blue Cheese, and Buffalo Ranch. I was excited to try them as they are not usually flavors found on my long worn BBW menu. Upon opening the containers I was met with some, er, disappointment. To say the least. With no exaggeration there were probably two tablespoons of sauce in each container. Okay.... I guess we will just need a little extra ranch to dip these in. Nope! Turns out not only were the wings underwhelming in flavor, they were soggy! The lady at the counter was nice, but there was some loud mouth in the back who was freaking out about being backed up and the whole dining room (like 5 patrons) could hear him. Have been eating at Wings n Things since it opened. Excited when they opened up another on Boniface and have been eating there ever since. We are gone during the summer months, always excited to get the wings and Phillies to go. Did this again and wow what a disappointment. Wings are now sold by the pound? Was told it was due to the price of chicken? The Phillies use to be the softest bread and melt in your mouth. A couple years ago they went from 12 inches to 10 inches well we got our sandwiches home tonight and they are the sandwich/hot dog buns you buy at the grocery store. Yuk. I've been coming here for a couple years and it's the best wings I've had. This isn't the kind of wing place to go and get a bunch of different types of sauces and rubs. This is the kind of wing place that has one flavor and you choose the heat level! I make anyone I take there get the Nuke their first time. That said they have different flavors, but I've never tried them. I usually go extra hot, but about once a month I start craving the punishment and have to go for the Nuke! Owner is incredibly nice and can usually be seen coming and going! Staff is friendly and the restaurant is kept very clean (unlike the original location. This location is a franchise owned by different people). Get 20 Nuke, and order of garlic cheese rolls, and extra order bleu cheese dip, and a fountain drink. The pain is so good! Use the garlic cheese rolls dipped in the bleu cheese to temporarily douse the fire when you're the final stretch of the last few wings! read more

I usually like coming here. But today tops the cake with very poor customer service and bad etiquette and food. I've order my food at 720pm today and just received my food at 915pm. They've given me someone else's food that the person brought back and it wasn't fresh nor cooked thoroughly. As much as I want to give them back this food, I just took it and threw it away (LITERALLY) for I didn't have the energy to argue or be combative on this glorious day. My energy was literally drained. And I know I should of went back but waiting in there and hearing there lies to comfort my mind and asking when will the food be ready, and then asking what's my name, what's my order number, and then questioning if I really ordered was hella draining. The runner apologized and said I can receive, from them, a free 2 liter for waiting over an hour. But that wasn't enough. I really want my money back and compensation for waiting with bad customer service, etiquette and food. And I have asked too! When I've asked for my money they've told me that I can't get a refund until the morning for they had no manager at all on duty. And that only the main manager Can issue me a refund. But if I wait five more minutes (which turned into 41 more minutes) I can receive my food. No one knew what they were doing and everyone was lying to comfort the mind about when the food will be ready. When I ordered around 720pm they said the food will be done around 747pm. We've arrived around 8pm (to give them time) and our food wasn't ready til about 915pm. I really want my money back for: - food given to someone else and then they just rebagged it when it was already touched - waiting longer than normal - cashiers and customer service not knowing what they are doing and lying to comfort the minds - cashiers telling me that I can't get a refund until the morning for they had no manager at all on duty. - food cold and touched by someone else (another consumer) - food not cooked thoroughly - runner telling me that my order never came through but they had the receipt pinned on their beer sign. - and the over draining nonsense over chicken read more

Wings N' Things are back! This new location opened not too long ago by one of the former employees of the Arctic and 36th location. After a couple of disappointing visits at the Arctic location, I was glad to see this place tucked away in a strip mall just off the Boniface exit off the Glenn Highway and just down the road from the Elmendorf base gate. I ordered the twenty piece medium wings and the wing sauce as well as the blue cheese was how I remembered it from the original downtown location from years ago. (I still miss Joe Connelly, the original owner and the man who created the beloved wing sauce recipe.) This was encouraging for someone who has been a fan of their wings for the last 20 years. I was afraid that the unique taste that made Wings N' Things famous here in Anchorage was lost forever after my last two visits at Arctic. The owner has maintained the original recipe and cooking methods for the wings.The cooks did an outstanding job recreating the recipe. Ordered some delivery last night -- took well over 40 minutes past the quoted hour for delivery (nearly 2 hours). Also, the food was beyond greasy and cold--inedible. To top it off, they forgot the plain French fries for my toddler -- when I called about it, the man in the phone basically implied I was lying or stupid by insisting that the fries being missing "didn't make sense" and repeating to me over and over again that they would be in a small styrofoam container. I realized that and they were not there. I had to say over and over again "I only have 3 small styrofoam - 2 with celery, carrots and ranch, and 1 with cheesecake." The wings here are absolutely great. The service sucks. Two times ago we ordered for pick up, the wait is 20 mins and we got here 35 mins later. So we went to pick them up they weren't done. Waited for another 45 mins then they accidentally let our order go out with someone who ordered way after us. They didn't want to give us a refund, they wanted us to wait another 20 mins. I refused and told them I'd like to speak to their manager. The manager then said she was training new people and over the past week they had been very busy and had a lot of disappointment to different customers. My family and I have ordered from here a lot. Their wings are great, but what made me want to write this review is actually because of their service. We always get delivery and there is usually not any issues, however the other day we had a mix up. We ordered a 40 piece, 30 mild and 10 teriyaki. We received 30 teriyaki and 10 mild. I'm the only one who likes the teriyaki, and 30 is a lot for me, and there were 3 other family members for the mild, and my husband could eat 10 alone in his sleep! I called and explained the mix up, which anyone could've made, and they were very apologetic and immediately sent us the missing 20 mild. Now the fifth star is for the simplest of things. A little sticky note on top of our replacement that simply said "apologies" with a smiley face. The fact that they not only made up for their mistake, but owned up that it was theirs is more than I can say for a lot of places. We will continue to order from them and enjoy! PS get a punch card!
