Don't go to the guy that had the hard Jamaican accent, always has 1 airpod in, doesn't take his time, doesn't use original barber methods. This is the 2nd time he pushed my hairline back. The barbers here are excellent. I've been going here for years. Haircut used to be $18 though. pandemic Bumped it up five extra dollars so I'm assuming they included tip. $23 for a haircut. It's a bit pricey and costs more than cuts in New York but when I think about the five extra dollars as a tip and consider that cuts in New York are $20, it's about the same anyways. read more

Today was my first time coming to this barbershop. Actually, I hadn't treated myself to a professional haircut in more than 4 years. I have a hard time trusting anyone to cut my hair. However, when I walked in, the atmosphere was very positive and when I asked who could take care of me, Greg was the barber I was directed to and truth be told, he took his time with me and gave me one of the best haircuts I'd had in a long time. This barbershop is pretty good. My son got his first real deal hair cut here done by Pianki (I think I spelled it correctly). He gets a temp cut and P takes his time with him and ask if I'm satisfied. He is a 2 year old boy, so I don't get anything fancy, just want it tamed. So far so good. Big UPS to all the barbers. I firmly believe that once you find your barber, you stick with him. In the process of finding a barber, you may allow a number of people to cut your hair, but only once a person has demonstrated a respect for his craft, and a rapport with his clients has he earned the title of barber. P is my barber. I have been going to P for close to 5 years, and I have not received any service that is comparable from any other barbershop since I have lived in Maryland. Not only is P gifted with the scissors, but he's also attentive to customer needs, respectful of customer time, and professional in every interaction. P goes above and beyond for EVERY interaction. How many barbers do you know who offer a hot towel shave as part of a regular haircut? The service is unmatched. Also, the fact that you can now book appointments online means that in most cases, you can be in and out of the shop. I highly recommend P. The shop itself is nice, clean, and well maintained. On a Sunday morning you can hear old R&B jams and Meet the Press in on the TV. Definitely an atmosphere that teenagers, young adults, and family men appreciate. read more

My new favorite. I had gone to Piankhe when he was out in Laurel and he is an artist. When I saw he'd moved to right behind Paint Branch High I was pleased. He runs a tight shop. Everyone there looks great and I saw several other women getting cut there, so that always gives me confidence. Sean was my barber and he did great. Took the slight mess that my hair had been (I was recovering from a bad cut a couple months ago) and he did great. Took his time and was very careful to cut a feminine style. I will definitely go back. It's always hard to write these reviews because then they get real busy and you can't get in! But these guys are great. I came across this barbershop in a desperate time of need. I had just received the worst haircut of my life from a chain salon earlier that day. I arrived at the shop pretty late so everyone was packing up. I felt defeated until Pianku stated that he would stay and assist me. I was almost certain that I was too far gone when I sat in his chair but he assured me that he could fix my hair. He took his time and turned my disaster into something wonderful. This was the first place I came to when I had my first undercut done, at the time there was a woman barber there and she was very welcoming and made my experience wonderful. This place is clean and neat and for the most part, the barbers are excellent..at least from what I see waiting. Which brings me to my one complaint...I believe they can work on their customer service skills. I stopped going here for that exact reason a while back. After the female barber left I attempted to go back a few times and felt like I was often looked over. No one greeted me when I walk in but they would stare and I always ended up waiting the longest it felt. No one really ask me what I wanted done or communicated with me. Overall, just not great communication. Maybe I don't understand how the barber culture goes, maybe I have to be more agressive with how I approach them when I come in. Maybe they go by appointments....I'm not sure. But a little more communication and hospitality would be nice. read more
