Saw their tent during Taste of Wheaton, waited two hours and left without a cut. An hour give or take for a cut is long but not unreasonable. But let me tell you, the first guy took 45 min, second guy was 75 min in and still going by the time I left. The first barber (light-skinned latino) took 45 min, worked hard and did an excellent job on an older man. Honestly, while I waited and saw him work, I wanted my cut with him. Unfortunately he left to go inside their building and was replaced by this young black haired latino. He was working on this guy who walked in with a Phil Foden cut and 75 min in, largely unchanged but with a clean trim on the sides. (There was hardly any hair on the ground ) One reason his cut was taking so long was this barber was too busy live-streaming on his phone, occasionally looking at peoples' comments. It also didn't help he was cutting at a snail's pace. It's one thing to be attentive to detail (something the first barber was good at). It's another to just go hair by hair. Bad for business, wasting peoples' time, so much that I don't feel like stopping by the actual shop. Hope the business sees this and if they do, please let me know the name of that guy. If I ever do stop by, I'd like to avoid him at all cost. read more

Finos Barbershop - Look at all the hair cut in 75 min! Hope his live stream goes viral though. - Barbers Near Me - Silver Spring, Maryland

I found out about Finos Barbershop at the recent Taste of Wheaton event. I have a vacation coming up and figured I would give them a shot. After checking them out online and on Instagram I called and made an appointment with Mario. There is plenty of metered street parking in the area. Some in front of the building that the shop is in and there's also a metered lot to the right of the building. Finos is located on the second floor of the building. Theres a door leading to the stairs located next to Franks Burgers. Go up the stairs and turn left once you reach the top. The vibe in the shop is very laid back. There was music playing at a reasonable level and the whole shop is well lit. Mario is really cool and he offered me a complimentary beverage (soda or beer). I opted for a soda since I drove myself. Now on to the cut and overall experience. Mario took time consulting with me to figure out the best cut for me. I shared what I had in mind down to the guides I preferred and how close I wanted thebcut to be. Once he got started with the cut we had a really cool conversation about everything from sports to family to travel, etc. Throughout the entire conversation Mario was cutting and detailing to make sure everything was perfect. When he was done I was extremely happy! This is easily the best haircut I've had in years at a barbershop! The price was fair, only $60 for a haircut and beard trim. I actually had him do a fade on my beard too. It's a new look for me, but I like the end result. Mario earned a new client and I look forward to coming back in 2 weeks for my next cut. read more

I went here for a beard trim a few weeks ago on a Sunday. I didn't have an appointment, but there was no wait. I was assigned to Jesus's chair and he proceeded to do a great job. I'm not very good at communicating what I'm looking for, but he both understood and did some additional things that were a big improvement. He asked if I wanted my beard lined up in a way that was easier for me to manage between trims and used a paper template to ensure he got both sides evenly. He wasn't super talkative, and I'm not either, so that was a good match! Or maybe he's chatty with clients who are chatty and just follows their lead, but either way, it was comfortable for me. The lighting is bright enough that I kept my eyes closed for a portion of the experience, and the music was a little loud for me, but it was a solid playlist. The chair was comfortable and things were impressively clean. I was there kind of early on that Sunday and so I didn't see a ton of other customers, but the few I saw seemed happy with their experience. It is good to find a shop that does a good job with beards that isn't also trying to be a whisky bar, a gentlemen's lounge, a sports bar, or a spa. Should have taken a few before and after photos to share--maybe next time! I waited a few weeks to write this to see how my beard would grow in and now, about 15 days later, it looks great and not in need of immediate maintenance. I'll definitely be back read more

Santiago is the absolute best. My husband had a hair emergency at 8pm on a Tuesday night and he literally saved the day and gave him the best cut. We are new to the area and glad that we found a reputable barber. read more

To quality of the cut is pretty high, better than a good amount of other places that I have been to, but the haircut cost is also high. So if you don't mind 60+ dollar haircuts for actual styles then it's worth. But if you need a simple haircut this is too costly. read more

I just got a cut here for the first time and was extremely pleased with the outcome. Santiago consulted with me about what i was looking for exactly before cutting my hair. I asked for a mid temp and low back fade as well as trimming the Afro and keeping its shape. Everything was detail oriented and executed to perfection. Both sides were identical and couldn't have asked for a better result. Santiago takes his time and makes sure throughout the cut that what he is producing is what you want, so I respected and appreciated that too. Vibe is great, music and ambiance makes getting a cut enjoyable and it's very clean and nice inside the shop. read more

I've gone to a bunch of places over the years tryna find a good consistent barber, because if I'm being honest it's hard to find someone who can't give your beard a fresh cut. Not only was this place really good with the cut, but their customer service is top tier and the neighborhood is really cool and chill. Shoutout to "SANTIAGO" really hooked it up definitely will come again. Probably gonna bet new permanent barber. read more

Found Mario in a pinch about 6-7 months ago when I was looking for a barber. Went to him, explained how I have a cowlick, uneven hairline, and how my hair grows differently on different parts of my head. First cut - he knocked it out the park. Haven't gone anywhere else ever since. Highly recommend him for any type of hair and any type of cut. He's also really good with a beard. His ability to understand what someone who knows nothing about cutting hair is saying is such a skill. read more

My dad has been staying with me for a little. I knew he was missing being around people like us so I figured I'd take him to a Dominican barbershop to make him feel more at home. My father also suffers from memory loss due to medical issues (not things I warned the barbershop about though). As soon as we got there they immediately noticed that we are Dominicans too. They began chatting with my dad, asking him about the old country and made him feel at ease. Joking and such with my father. Díaz also did a great job on my dad (according to my father). After the appointment my father was super happy with his cut. He said he felt like a brand new man. How he feels like jumping for joy. I 100% recommend this place . Thank you for making my father feel like a brand new man . And thank you for being easy with him. read more

Finos Barbershop - Haircut - Barbers Near Me - Silver Spring, Maryland

Last Wednesday, my son got a haircut from a *different shop than Finos*. We were displeased with it, and were resigned to the notion that he'd have to buzz all of his hair; we weren't going to keep that awful haircut. Hoping for the best, we booked an appointment with Jeremiah at Finos. The experts at Finos allot a fixed amount of time to deliver their services, but it didn't take nearly that much time for Jeremiah to PERFORM MAGIC. "How do you like it (the new, awesome haircut)?", he asked. I could barely speak to answer him. I went from disappointment to supreme amazement in (less than) the time span of an excellent haircut. Jeremiah is BEYOND AMAZING WITH HIS LEVEL OF SKILL. read more

Once again, my kid has a haircut that looks like fu*king Dumb & Dumber! Tried this place for the first time, but apparently "high end" barbers don't know how to fade either! Absolute garbage! Completely different cut on either side of the head and a straight line going across the forehead! Still searching for a barber in the DMV who knows what the hell he's doing! Zaid is clearly not it! I wish I had looked at the photos on yelp praising Zaid's skills before the appointment! Idk who paid for those 5-star reviews but none of those fades look good! Best haircut my son ever had. Thank you Zaid, you have talent. Pleasant comfortable vibe.

I've lived in multiple states and I can say hands down this is my favorite barbershop. It's really everything you would want. I come from a mixed background so I struggle to find barbers that can fade my hair (what's left of it) correctly. In the past my best luck has been with Latin barbershops. I was looking for one in the D.C area and found Finos barbershop. The first time I walked in they greeted me and asked if I had an appointment. I didn't but they said they would take care of me ASAP. Let's start with be most important factor when it comes to barbershops. Everyone in there can cut. I currently go to Jeffrie but I've had cuts by multiple people in the shop and everyone is smooth. There is always a mixed group of nationalities in the shop. Latinos, black and white. They cut everyone's hair and it always looks good. They speak English in the shop but they also can speak Spanish if that's your first language. I'm trying to learn Espanol so they show love to me and let me practice with them. If you go on their website you can see multiple pictures of their work. The art is there. They know what they're doing. Location is also great. People can park or if you take the train it's a five minute walk from the red line. It's easy to locate. No worries there. If you need to kill some time there's plenty of places right there to grab some quick food or a drink. The shop itself is everything you need. It's super clean and a comfortable place. They have TVs, video games, chilled music, and plenty of seats while you're waiting. They also promote a great atmosphere. There's just a lot of love in the shop. Everyone talks to you, everyone wants to know that you're comfortable. I often see mothers bringing their kids in, so it's always a respectable chilled environment for the family. Like I mentioned before, the barbers speak multiple languages and cut all types of hair. You can't come into this shop and feel like you don't belong. I usually don't grow out a beard but one time I did and got the facial treatment.... well worth the money. I have plenty of shops much closer to me but I take the time to travel to them because it's worth it. Let's not forget their online booking service. You can go right on the site from the phone and book your appointments in advance. This is a free service and so convenient. You know your hair any how often you get it cut so just request an appointment and they will have you in there. These are the best barbers I've ever seen and on top of that one of the best ran businesses I've ever seen. Give them a chance. I will warn you... if you go to this shop it will be difficult to ever go somewhere else. read more

By far the absolute best barber shop I have ever been to. Super cool staff and a laid back vibe really makes me feel welcome and at home. Jefferie is my DUDE!!! Absolutely love that it's super close to my apartment and that I can walk over and get a cut most days. The music is usually on point and they even had free beer (pre-COVID). Sad that I will be leaving to NYC soon, but glad to have had such fire cuts for the last year! read more
