8 piece bone in soy garlic chicken wings 4.5 stars
Coco V.

I've been obsessed with the Fetch receipt app and I saw that they were offering 60 points per dollar spent special so o decided to stop by. I had been here a few times before, so I knew what I was getting into. I ordered the 8 piece soy garlic bone in chicken wings. At first I thought the price was a little steep thinking all I would get is the chicken. To my surprise, it came with a side of coleslaw, macaroni salad and seasoned brown rice. They fry the chicken when you order so it's about a 15-20 minute wait. The flavor the soy garlic is delicious. It's not overly garlicky nor overly sweet. It's so crispy and even a few days later the chicken was still yummy. I'll definitely come back!

My boyfriend and I come here pretty regularly (one or twice a month) as it is our go-to Korean fried chicken spot. I'm assuming the guy we always see and serves us is the owner. He's very friendly and attentive. We usually order the soy garlic chicken half chicken and rose tteokbokki and add udon. Food it's tasty and flavorful. I have tried some of the other chicken flavors, such as golden honey and yang nyeom, but we like soy garlic the best. We've also tried a seafood pasta dish, but it was okay. Not something we would order again. Overall, a solid place for Korean fried chicken in the South Bay Area.

This is a really great chicken shop. The store is clean with plenty of tables. The staff is friendly and helpful. They make each batch fresh, so anticipate a wait of approx 20 minutes. The coating is somewhere between thick and light for Korean style chicken. It is flavorful and not greasy. It's crunchy, juicy and delicious. They serve it was gloves, wipes and napkins. :) They have their own parking lot.

Ambiance: it's a small place for fried chicken and drinks, and it's very dark inside Service: very slow, it took a long wait after placing the order, only one person operates the entire store for both service and kitchen Food: simple menu items for fried chicken and street style food Golden Honey Wings - *** overly sweet and not so crispy Mala Rosé Tteok-Bokki - **** Tteok-Bokki In their special mala cream sauce, rich in flavors, recommend Price: moderate portions and decent prices, expect $20 per person

I've ordered from Thanks Chicken in Lomita quite a few times now -- safe to say I'm a regular at this point. *if you're ordering through Postmates, the hours on the app can be inconsistent. Make sure to double check the hours on google or yelp because chances are, they're probably open! The fried chicken itself is really good. If you're doing pickup or delivery, I don't recommend getting the chicken tossed in sauce because you'll lose that great crispiness by the time you get home. The move is to order the regular fried chicken and get the sauces on the side instead. Just a heads up, sauces are about $1.50 each. The habanero garlic sauce is a good one -- they're veryyyy generous with the fresh habaneros and it has great flavor. One thing that surprised me about the chicken is the batter. It's not the typical Korean fried chicken style with a thinner coating -- the batter here is thicker, more like an American-style fried chicken crust. Honestly though, it's sooo good. The crisp on the chicken is great and really satisfying. I do wish they offered a spicy powder or dry seasoning option without sauce though. That would be amazing. The unexpected highlight for me is the Mala Rose Ddukbokki. Wow. The flavor is so good -- really aromatic, creamy, and well balanced without being numbing. It's honestly delicious, and dipping the fried chicken in the sauce is next level. What really brought me back to this place after my first try was the Mala Rose Ddukbokki!! I CRAVE IT!!!! They also have a kimchi fried rice side option which is a nice addition if you want something extra with the meal. I really appreciate the side of mac salad they have here too since they use the big elbow macaroni!!! I'm all about textures! Overall, really solid fried chicken and a standout Mala Rose Ddukbokki. Definitely a spot I will keep coming back to. Already salivating thinking about the Mala Rose

The restaurant is fail typical Korean dining. It's decent seating but nothing fancy. The TVs are in the front and could be hard to see; changing the locations or add on the side walls would be much better. Ordered quickly (takeout) and food came out pretty quick. The chicken. In ordered the original chicken (wings). Came out hot and was crispy. The flavor was good; a little seasoning I think would be even better but definitely good. The radish was cool and crunchy. I wish the pieces were a little bigger but I get the size due the container.

Very good Korean fried chicken spot in Lomita. Our go to Korean fried chicken is CM chicken in Gardena but when we want to stay local this is a great alternative.

Called my order in for take out, was ready in 15 min! Ordered the half and half original crispy and yangnyum. Very crispy and delicious without being overly greasy or salty. The yangnyum (sweet and spicy) was really good and not super sweet like some other Korean fried chicken spots which I really appreciated. Had a tiny spicy bite to it, which I really enjoyed. Came with Cole slaw salad and beets in vinegar marinade. Also ordered the thanks fries platter which came with waffle fries, potato fries, mozzarella sticks, jalapeño popper. It was all super good! Last, got the mala rose ddugbokgi and it was okay. I like the original sauce the best. I wasn't sure what the flavors were, but it was like creamy and kinda seafood-y? Just not for me. But overall, all the food came out freshly made, not sitting under a heat lamp. There were 8-10 tables. The man who took my order and gave it to me in the store was kind and patient taking my order. My new fav Korean fried chicken spot!

We loved this place! The restaurant is spacious and clean. The owner, John, is so welcoming and nice. But the Food is incredible! We had Half & Half chicken in Soy Garlic and Golden Honey. The chicken skin was crisp and cooked to perfection while the meat was tender and moist. Both flavors were scrumptious but I personally loved the Soy Garlic a little more. We also ordered the Mala Rose Tteok-Bokki. I think I loved this dish more than the outstanding chicken. My husband said it's the best tteokbokki he's had. It was the Mala Rose sauce. I can put that on everything! It's a must try if you dine here. The pickled radiah and Coleslaw were a perfect side to cool our mouths and cut the grease. Highly recommend this place for your next meal!

Soy garlic chicken, yangyeum chicken, fries, sides

Half and half chicken: soy garlic and sweet and spicy - flavor is perfect and fried well Fries - fried well Sides - fresh and not soggy Tried it out for the first time and did not disappoint, will be back again to try other dishes!

For some really good Korean chicken wings/ tenders in the Lomita area this is the place to go! We wanted some good food made quickly and decided to try this Thanks Chicken Lomita for some chicken. There's apparently another location that may be on Western in Koreatown. You order at the counter and food is brought to you when ready. So the service is kinda basic. You have to ask for extra napkins, but you can have a cool chicken wing bib! See photos! I had the house special wings, but others had habanero and garlic tenders. All were good, but the garlic ones were the best if you can only get one type. The house special were a bit sweet and habanero was habanero hot. We also got coleslaw which was kfc sweet and good. Also ordered a side of pickled radish and kimchi were both good as well. The place is slightly upgraded strip restaurant, but clean and comfortable. We were the only ones siting down, but there seemed to be a pretty good takeout flow. What the place needs is a beer to go with the meal and it looks like they are trying to get a license for that. Oh, we took some food home and it's reported that the chicken was still crispy next morning. The restaurant is what may be a varied restaurant food habitable zone of Lomita, Harbor City and East PV. Great Japanese is in the same mall and general area, plus Indian. The strip mall has a few restaurants, but this is located next to a Papa Johns. Parking is easy at 6:30 pm on a Tuesday. This location has gone through a couple of Korean food reincarnations. So one might remember this as something else.

Thanks Chicken is easily one of the best spots in the area. The food is incredibly good you can taste the time and effort in every bite as the flavors hit you. Even though it's known for fried chicken, the whole menu goes hard. The pasta especially can turn a bad day into a good one. The service is always great and the place feels super welcoming. Cozy vibes, but still perfect for hanging out with friends. I personally love the cod roe pasta and recommend it to anyone visiting.

Grocery shopping always seems to make me hungry anyway, so it's nice having a food option right there. One tip: I'd grab a drink from inside H Mart before ordering at Hansol, since there a lot of cool and different drink options in the grocery section. I usually get the pork cutlet, which comes with two pork cutlets, rice, several sides, a small broth, and a salad. It's a really good-sized meal and something I always enjoy getting. The pork katsu is crunchy on the outside while still being juicy inside, and the sauce has a refreshing flavor that pairs really well with it. The sides complement the meal nicely, and they also give you some fruit. I like saving that for the end since it's a refreshing way to end the meal. Ordering is pretty straightforward: just go up to the cashier and give them the letter and number for the item you want. I also like that there's a picture for each menu item, so you can easily see what you're ordering. The seating area is basically a food court, so the ambiance isn't anything special, but there are plenty of seats, which is nice. I always look forward to coming to this H Mart knowing I can also get a great meal if I'm hungry after shopping.
