As there are numerous shops here, each business provides a unique buying experience. Each one represents what they offer, and do it from their own perspective. From this, you'll find some shop merchants that are super friendly, very cordial, and more than willing to make deals with you. Others, not so much. But, that's what makes this location truly interesting. All the personalities that make up this shopping establishment. More than simply a place to shop for gifts, artworks, souvenirs, and the like, French Market also offers some great food stalls. So, if you need a snack, drink, or even a full meal, you can find it here. As this is open air, in the summer, it can get kinda hot inside this establishment. This is not bad or good, this is just something to keep in mind. This is the same during the winter months. You can't get kind of cold in there. But, at least from my perspective, that's a little bit easier to deal with. You just have to wear a jacket. Overall, this is one of the main stays of NOLA. It's truly a must see location. Whether it's scorching hot outside, a day of full on humidity, or lost in rainy weather, you're gonna be out of the elements if you come shopping at this mall. That, in of itself, is a great feature of this New Orleans shopping establishment. You can pretty much find anything you need here. What used to be a beauty supply store has been transformed into a unique city market filled with a variety of food vendors -- almost like a mini food court in the middle of the city. There are several cuisine options to choose from: Asian, Thai, Creole, Southern, desserts, ice cream, and more. Only a few vendors were open during my visit which is why I'm giving 4 , but I went with Thai, and it was delicious -- fresh, hot, and made to order. Wish the other options were open to choose from felt a little empty but will go back again to try a few others. I love the convenience of the self-service kiosks where you can browse menus, place your order, and pay right there. After that, you simply wait for your number to be called. The seating is comfy and makes it a great place to grab a meal, have a meeting, or just relax. Takeout is easy, too. A very cool and innovative concept for this part of the city. Every other state we've been to the malls stay open till 10:00pm and the stores until 9:00pm on a weekend, evidently this one still likes going home early since Covid shut it down in 2020, this is what we've been told by locals. We went to look for walking shoes for the days travels to come, but that wasn't happening here. On the outside looking in, it looks to be a smaller mall but well kept. They have a wide range of stores and pretty divers food court…read more It's located right off the highway making it a convenient stop. the fact that it is one story might sway you to think that there isn't much here but they definitely Target the upper middle-class with stores like Old Navy, Forever 21, H& M, and JCPenney. during my visit, I was also able to hit up Payless, Charlotte Russe and New York & Company. the space itself felt cleaning and I liked having the majority of stores I shop at in one place I will definitely be returning in the future.
