I've been going here for years and it's still one of the best Thai restaurants on the island in my opinion. The food is always great quality. Other Thai restaurants pack their curry with filler, but this place doesn't! Their curry is the absolute best and their staff are always welcoming snd friendly. I would just go here for the great food alone, but the great staff makes it with an easy 5 stars. Parking is a little rough here, but that's because people are always eating here so you may need to pack a little far away. There is only one handicap stall, and so be ready to walk a little. Pricing is fair. Things have definitely gone up, but if you want cheap Thai food you won't get this kind of quality. I easily spend $50 to $100 on two people when I eat here so it's more of a treat and not an every day meal. It's great food and so I only get to treat myself when I can afford it. We can't live in luxury every day, and this Thai food is definitely a luxury! Their current restaurant dining area itself has an authentic Thai vibe, and sometimes they even play Thai music on the digital screen in the dining area. Tried per reviews and we were extremely disappointed. Trying to find a replacement for our outstanding one that closed down years ago, retired. It has been so difficult to find one as perfect as they were. So, we are very well experienced in Thai food even in Thailand multiple times. Ordered green chicken curry, Pad Si-Eiw, spring rolls, rice. The spring rolls were good, lettuce leaves were tiny but fresh, dipping sauce was great too. The green curry was so awful tasting that we didn't eat it. I've never had green curry that didn't even taste like thai green curry like this. Not sure if fill in cook at lunchtime or what but it didn't even have coconut cream in the sauce. Had to take home to fix this problem, worst ever and would never recommend. Same with the Pad Si-Ew. Totally flavorless! You could tell they just threw it together with precooked pork, precooked broccoli, and tossed it onto the noodles barely fried in a dead sauce of nothing. Another total failure. Do not recommend this or any if this is how they prepare their food. Rice was standard. Will never return to this location again. Can't imagine where or how the good reviews came from but from our experience, they weren't even close. read more

Takeout Thai is one of my go-to comfort foods when I don't feel like cooking at home. Great thing about this Thai Village is that there's a great parking lot that makes pick-up so easy. We called ahead and got a 15-20 wait time, we got there early and decided to grab a few home items we needed from the store nearby -- so that's super convenient. What we ordered: Mixed seafood green curry Pad Thai with lookfun noodles Crispy rice salad (Nam khao) Everything was good and we had enough for leftovers for the next day -- my favorite! I've been coming here with my family for years! I'm surprised I haven't wrote a review yet. They have THE BEST Thai food on the island imo. My favorites: Papaya salad - I get it Laos style. I love how it comes with lettuce AND cabbage! Just the right spice. Tom kha (Thai ginger soup) - I get this with tofu! I tried it with chicken but I prefer with tofu instead. I love how the broth is creamy but not too overpowering creamy like most places. It's a nice balance of sour and creamy! Pad won sen - I get this with beef. I like it with beef the best. The thin noodles, sweetness & veggies always hits the spot. Fried chicken - It has the right amount of Thai spicier that's perfect with the Papaya salad! Ong choy with beef - fresh crunchy ongchoy w/ a flavorful sauce. Laos sausage - It has so much herbs and automatics! It's basically a Filipino vinegar Longanisa but better!! I love paring this with the papaya salad as well. The service here is always phenomenal, the servers are always sweet and attentive! The ambiance makes you feel like you're at a Thai aunties house with the background music but with a restaurant twist! Good food & good service? That's a x1000 to me! KUNIA Thai Village is always a hit! Definitely better flavors, in my opinion, compared to the other Thai Villages. I have yet to dine in, but I can easily imagine the food being better than what I bring home as take out. Tonight's dinner was outstandingly delish, as always. Reasons for the 5 stars: - The food is CONSISTENTLY prepared well - Workers are always friendly - The restaurant is clean and tidy - I've never had an incorrect order, EVER (20/20) - The level of care put into packing take out orders! Ex: They manually cut the top of your container to allow the crispy items to vent so the hot steam doesn't sog up the goods. They also add the extra support of cardboard at the bottom of your bag when ordering hot soup or curry. Love the thoughtful touch that some restaurants don't care to spend time on. As for the food - every item I've tried over the past years have been delicious. I greatly appreciate the "light approach" they take to using fish sauce too. My Family and I are regular customers for years and every settings we spend $400+ and at couple of times $800 because we love all the delicious food and service. But today 10/9/24 for lunch we experienced NO FRIENDLINESS!! This is the first time I've seen this older lady/waitress with no greetings not even at least a forcily smile. She had an attitude that I couldn't enjoy my food!!! We asked for extra chopstick while we were eating, then to go containers and gave me a look like I was crazy! Wasted $80+. I wished the younger girls were working! As an experience Manager, I've always tell my employees, leave your problems at home! This lady belongs in the back cooking or cleaning or stocking up! The design of the restaurant is gorgeous, love the decor and the seatings are reasonably spaced out and not crammed. Service was great too, attentive, quick, one plate came after the other. Menu is very visual friendly, pictures galore. Out of the 4 plates that we ordered... curry pad thai was the winner. Spicy fish fillet wasn't as spicy so fear not! Unless you are aiming for spicy, there's additional chili topping on the table which also goes amazing with the papaya salad too. Ordered the eggplant chicken too but forgot to take picture... that's how good of the food was. Very highly seasoned, reminds me of oxtail soup. I'm giving this place a 5 star review because staff is always nice and the restaurant is always very clean. Food is prepared quickly. Posting a review to leave a tip for others and I think that this tip probably applies to other places too that serve dishes up "family style". If you are dining alone, I've noticed, they give you less. This pad Thai, portions were always quite generous but it's the first time I've dined alone. Hard to tell in the picture, but what usually would be a lump of pad Thai, this was a flat serving of noodles with a bit too much sauce than usual. The couple that came in after me ordered and their pad Thai plate was full like what it usually was. But anyways.... One of my first favorite Thai food places. They do have my favorite spring rolls! Idk what type of wrap they use for theirs but it's a little different and has a better texture. The walnut chicken is amazing too and I can't eat at a Thai restaurant without eating pad Thai. There prices have gone up a little but I guess that's due to inflation. Always love their food! We always try to eat at this place probably once a month if not every other month. Their portions are pretty decent but their food is always on point. We love getting their pad Thai, pho, fried chicken and Thai Tea... they have decent service and they are pretty quick with bringing your order out. It is a bit smaller, but for me, it's more intimate which works for my family. Their prices did go up, so be sure to weigh out your options with your other "favorite" Thai restaurants. read more

One of my favorites for Thai food! My absolute favorite here? Curry Pad Thai! You may choose your protein and mine is tofu. So much flavor, great texture and so much noodles on one plate! I also had the Evil curry chicken. Another favorite of mine. Slices of chicken sitting in that rich curry sauce drizzled over some sticky rice, Yum! Fish patties are a must try. Everything was delicious and freshly made to order. Another to try is the stuffed chicken wings. Spring rolls were delish as they use the summer roll wrap and fry so the texture is different than other places. The best! Service quick but, they are only doing take out so be warned. This place has its many highs. Been eating here many years and so the "must tries" are the evil green curry (live a little- get it spicy). Panang (peanut based) and yellow curry are all mixed with coconut milk. Sweet and full of flavors. The must try apps are the raw shrimp (trust me- it won't kill you), stuffed fried chicken and the calamari! The calamari is a bountiful amount. My only thing I suggest to steer clear from is the garlic curry. It was lacking flavor and tasted watered down. However, I asked the server for salt and used some Thai peanut sauce from the sautéed chicken and it helped a little. I think the cabbage from the curry while cooking makes the water melt into it which made it lacking flavor. Sticky rice is always bomb. Jasmine rice is also fine too. If you're into Thai iced tea then you will find there's exceptional. Being this is up the road and close to home I normally come here. This restaurant fulfills my wife's cravings. My friend and I were feeling hungry after our jog around Kunia so we decided on Thai food. We got here around an hour before closing time and when we arrived the open sign was already off so we were kind of hesitant, but when we got inside, the really friendly waitress seated us. This was my first time at this location and I thought that the lighting in here was dim where it was hard to see all the items on the menu, but it made the restaurant atmosphere seem like we were at a fancy dim lit restaurant. We were seated right away as there was no one in here. The waitress was really nice when taking our orders. She was very interactive with us and asked us questions about our day. Our food didn't take long to be served due to us being the only customers at the time. I ordered the combination pho and it came with spring rolls and a drink. One of my friends ordered the same combo pho, while my other friend ordered the seafood pho lookfun. We also ordered a curry pad Thai and fried shrimp roll on the side. The broth for my pho was very flavorful, but to my taste, it was a little on the salty side. The curry pad Thai was really good. The noodles were cooked to perfections and the curry flavor had it more savory then the usual pad Thai I get. The fried shrimp roll was fried to perfection and served with a fish sauce dip. Spending our Saturday afternoon doing chores around my in-law's place in Kunia. We got hungry and decided to take a lunch break at the Kunia Shopping Center. Trusty Yelp helped us narrow down our choices and Thai Village won. We were able to get seated right away and though there was only one server making the rounds, she was able to take our orders, get the food to our table, keep our water glasses filled, get to-go containers and handle our bill in a timely fashion. All the while she took care of incoming to go orders and walk in patrons. Very good service. Now on to the food! We got the vegetable spring rolls, panang curry with vegetables and pad Thai with tofu, along with 2 orders of sticky rice. I think we would have been fine with just one sticky rice order though. The food was made to order, the vegetables were fresh and all of the dishes were flavorful and delicious. We both ate our fill and still had plenty to bring home for leftovers. The worker looked at the time and said that they're only doing take out even though we were there 15 minutes before the "last seating" call time. We always have leftovers which we can reheat for dinner the next day. What a nice hole in the wall. This place is located right off the beginning of Kunia, where the Walmart and Denny's are located. It's in the corner, did not have a hard time finding parking but the parking is limited. The place itself was small, but it still is able to fit a good amount of people. I went on a Wednesday around 3pm and only a few people in there, not busy or slow. Service was great, the young lady that served us was very friendly and attentive to our table. The food came out quick and was a amazing! We ordered a lot, but everything tends to be served in a family style way. You can scoop the food from the plate it's served on and put directly on your plate. The pricing was not too expensive, very reasonable.
