I ordered sai Oua for to go, and this is what I received, burnt sausages. I don't think this can even be called food anymore. And I spent almost $50 for this meal. I've never seen a restaurant serve food this badly before.

It's been awhile and the flavors are back!!! The food was fresh and everything we had was pretty amazing. We ordered papaya salad, padsew, red curry, beef fried rice, pad phet and spring rolls. If I had to pick surprisingly it was the padsew. The noodles were delicious and they got the dark sauce to highlight the dish. I asked the waitress if they have a new chef and she said yes. You can totally tell. They are back on my good list!

Farmers Market Pop-up review. We always make it a point to hit them up when they attend the Hoopili Festival st. market. We love getting the BOGO pork sticks- Buy 4 bbq pork sticks get one free! We also usually get the curry and fried chicken plate, yum!

My only Thai food spot near home that I religiously get take out from! Finally dined in for a late lunch and it was quiet with fast service. Servers are always so nice and tentative. Food is astonishing! I sadly get the same thing every time because I just love these dishes so much :) pad si ew is my top favorite dish with extra beef! No where else makes it like them! I also recently started loving the green curry fried rice with chicken which is surprisingly a good alternative if you don't want to get curry and rice. I also usually get pad Thai but that would've been too much food for me and my friend given these portions are huge.

Always such good quality and delicious food! My partner goes crazyyy for the fish panaang curry and always orders an extra one for later! love the different heat and protein options - medium, hot, or THAI HOT and chicken, beef, pork, shrimp, seafood for most entrees. & mango sticky rice to die for! Love all the locations! Mahalo

Thai Lao our favorite Thai restaurant on the West Side. Great Thai food perfectly prepared and delicious. Those Stuffed Chicken Wings are wonderful with the Sweet Thai Chili Sauce. We tried the Seafood Rice Noodle Salad. Wonderful dish light and fresh. A definite must try. For dessert the seasonal offering was the Mango Sticky Rice. Service was great. Nice cozy dining room. Take out options available.

Been coming to this Thai restaurant every since it opened many years ago. It's our go-to for Thai food. Dinner on a Saturday night at 6pm and there was only one other table filled. I suspect most of their business is take-out cuz there is a steady stream of ppl picking up. Anyhow, food is consistently awesome and so is the service. Highly recommended. Four stars.

This restaurant is a local Thai restaurant. I came in for some to go food a couple weeks ago. And then my visitor came in for some soup. And my husband wanted to try the restaurant on date night last week. Are used to go to my favorite restaurant in Pearl city, so I was kind of skeptical, but the food is really good.

Papaya salad that so bland, not enough sauce or vinegar.

Lunch for 2. Food was bland and tasteless. Service was ok. It was casual place. Won't be back. The price doesn't match the quality of food.

Discovered this restaurant at the weekly Night Market in Wai Kai and I've heard really good things about the actual restaurant. Their food stand did not disappoint!! Got their house special plate, which comes with pad Thai, lemongrass fried chicken and a choice of curry. This will get you full and satisfied ASAP.

I ordered stuffed chicken wings, yellow curry, spring rolls and pad thai all were disappointing the curry was super salty and no other flavor sort of bitter taste None of the food was enjoyable we used to love this place ,wondering if the cook changed so sad

Mussaman curry - bit on the watery side
    Raenae G.

I was craving some Thai food but wanted to try a new restaurant. Food here was flavorful. We ordered the following: spring roll, papaya salad, drunken noodles, mussaman curry, and larb. All of them were prepared as expected except the mussaman curry. I'm used to a reddish curry color but it wasn't. It was so good. All the dishes we ordered were seasoned well. Service was good. We came on a Sunday for lunch and it was not busy at all. Decor was simple and place was clean. I would come here again and try their other dishes.

Their restaurant is so cool tho. Upon walking in, you sign in if needed, wait to be seated. As you walk in, there's a pretty decor, I would say photo opp, but there's a table and stuff blocking. They should clear that area, so people can take pictures with it lol but when you get seated, you walk through, and they take you to the back for outdoor seating. There is no indoor seating. They have the commercial tents, and pretty outdoor decor out there too, like lights and stuff. And there's a koi pond. Bathroom is back there. The only sucky part is if it was to rain hard or have strong winds, I wonder how they deal with that. But make sure you go when it's nice weather. It's BYOB!! They have a good amount of seating too. Our go to for Olay's is the Lao style papaya salad. We eat it with chicharon, and I think they have option to order a side chicharon, but we were prepared and went store before heading over to buy bag chicharon and they allowed it for us instead of spending the same amount for a handful, you get more when you BYOBC - bring your own bag chicharon lol I just made that up. If it's BYOB, I'm sure they'll allow it. We eat that with sticky rice. Omg so bomb. I like to get the stuffed chicken wings, we ordered the calamari. Was good. We got yellow chicken curry. The wife wanted to try the beef jerky, she likes it. We take the sticky rice and roll it in to a ball, and dip it in the bagooong papaya salad sauce and even the curry. Eat it with the papaya salad and stuffed chicken!! Omg so good! One thing I forgot to mention, they are located in the heart of Chinatown, on hotel street, so you gotta find parking. Street parking or pay for public parking. Would we come here again, definitely! 10/10 recommend. Check out Olay's for your Lao food fix!

After its closure, they opened Supa Thai in March 2022 in Kapolei and is doing well. Chef Supa is inspired by her family's farm in Central Thailand. Supa Thai Restaurant is known for its flavorful and popular dishes, e.g., pad Thai, curries, crispy pork chops, fried chicken, and basil noodles. Menu items include appetizers (spring/summer rolls, satay); combo plates (curries + spring rolls + Jasmine rice); desserts (mango with sticky rice, tapiocas, rotee); and drinks (Thai ic tea, Thai iced coffee, sodas). Portions are generous, fresh ingredients are used, and prices are reasonable. It was our first time at Supa Thai, and we ordered: * Pineapple curry with chicken. This curry was very flavorful and included red curry paste, coconut milk, fresh pineapple, tomatoes, onions, bell peppers, and basil. One does not normally see pineapple curry on the menu, so we were surprised to see it! We ordered some Jasmine rice with a ton of chicken slices into the curry, and went to town with the added spicy condiments and crushed peanuts! An enjoyable rich curry entrée! Forgot to order the curry medium hot, so we used the restaurant's handy housemade 4-bottled hot spiced variety. * Fried chicken. This was boneless chicken seasoned with Thai spices and deep fried until golden brown and served with sweet chili sauce. Fried super crisp and piping hot out of the fryer, a delicious side dish with sweet sour sauce! * Mango with sticky rice. The best yet to come, cold Hayden mango with warm coconut milk sticky rice! I could have easily eaten another plateful of dessert! Kudos to the single staff server who held the busy dine-in area that seats about 20, with all tables (except a two-seater) taken during the busy lunch hour! She managed to bring out water glasses and utensils, take/serve orders, replenish water glasses, bring out take-home containers, and processed bill payments. Watching her allowed the entire process to be such a calming nature, with all enjoying their lunch meals. The small restaurant is clean, with a nice Thai ambiance. Hours of operation are daily from 10:30a to 9p. Located next to Panda Express in a small strip mall near Walmart. Drive onto the right side of the restaurant for drive-through pick-up; park on the left side for dine-in. Yes, we see this as a favorite Thai restaurant for us, despite living so far away; but perhaps this will be an excuse for us to to visit Kapolei more often! Generous portions, fresh ingredients, affordable combo plates, and delicious food are great factors in making this restaurant a successful one!

When I go to this food court, I usually am there for Maguro Bros, but I was on the hunt for Lao sausage and Maguro Bros was closed anyway. The shared space is honestly a little claustrophobic for me. And there are some interesting smells. I prefer to eat outside or take my food to go, which isn't a problem. I stood at the counter for a bit before the nice lady worker acknowledged me. She called me sister lol. I asked for a sausage and a side of sticky rice. It was $7 and came in a ziploc bag. It was the perfect light lunch. The sausage was a bit spicy, but it was really good. I also got a mango sticky rice, which was affordable and delicious. It didn't have any sauce, but that would have made it too messy. It was basically a mango sticky rice musubi. At least that's how I ate it lol. I'll definitely be back for the sausage. Maybe next time I'll try some of the other entree dishes.

The chicken thighs were beautifully seasoned and slightly charred. The meat was cooked all the way through yet still juicy with bone in thigh. The purple sticky rice was perfectly done and I love the texture of sticky rice in general. The plate also came with sliced cucumbers and pickled mustard greens (reminiscent of Vietnamese pickled mustard greens - but in a much more vibrant green color). My favorite part of the meal was the tart and aromatic sauce that came in the meal. If you're not a fan of lime juice and fish sauce, you may want to use sparingly. However, I was thoroughly enjoying the sauce and when accompanied with a bit of the mustard greens, it toned down the sour aspect of the flavor profile. She was amazing at it. I do need to note the following. My husband does not like the taste of coconut, because obviously we are used to a certain taste which is what we are taught to believe coconuts taste like... but her loved this one! young fresh coconuts do not taste like anything "mainstream coconut flavor". It is a refreshing soft, delicate flesh which has a soft set jelly type of texture. It is slightly watery and you will taste the coconut water in it, think of Chinese jelly with very little sugar, almost buttery and melty. The water itself is very refreshing with a very little hint of flavor. We both really enjoyed our island fresh coconut experience and highly recommend you buy at least one!
