Pad Thai with Tofu. Consistently delicious!!!

Delicious food!!! I was so happy to find this place in the little food truck park near my office in north Austin, nearish Lakeline. Super convenient for lunch! Call in an order and pick up 15 minutes later. Yum! Wishing them years of continued success!!!

Thai Time is such a fitting name for this restaurant because whenever I am craving Thai food, the first thing that pops into my head is it's THAI TIME! However, lately my cravings have been falling on their days off, and I find myself in a CFA situation, where they are closed on Sunday but Thai Time is also closed on Monday. So plan accordingly to get your fix Tuesday-Saturday as I have yet to be disappointed! I've pretty much tried their whole menu but my tried and true still are Pad Kee Mao (Drunken Noodle), Basil Fried Rice, and Green Curry. I tend to get different proteins each visit as availability varies but luckily I am not set on a specific one. I've even sprung for their shrimp which was an extra $3 when I last visited and although it was just a few pieces the cook was quite tender. In terms of flavor, I think they do a pretty good job overall, but the dish that stands out the most is their Green Curry. I don't know how they do it but it is actually one of my favorites in all of Austin. It has the perfect balance of flavors, full of veggies and protein (I tend to pick pork) and honestly just addictive especially with some rice. If you are looking for Thai food up North that serves decent portions, yummy flavors, and fairly priced, def check this place out! They have online ordering, but I tend to call mine in so I know they are for sure taking orders since sometimes they get so popular that they need some time to catch up. I was actually a bit on the fence to share this review due to their popularity but it looks like my little food truck secret is out.

I stopped by with a friend to pickup some food. I got a tofu pad kee Mao (vegetarian drunken noodles), my friend got pineapple chicken fried rice. The place is very pretty and cute for outdoor dining with small lights hanging in the courtyard. This space has a couple of food trucks and adjacent parking lot has a few more. While driving back home I was really mesmerized with the aroma of the food in the car. We ate as soon as we reached home. The noodles were awesome, you can ask them to not add any fish or oyster sauce for vegetarian preparation. I thought the portion was quite generous with significant amount of tofu for the low prices. My friend loved his pineapple chicken fried rice and we both would want to try this place again. Surely recommend. IG @theVeggieConsultant

    Green curry, it was ok.

There are couple of food trucks in Anderson mill along with Thai time, so wanted to try them. Ordered green curry with chicken and dumplings. They make it fresh when you order, so food is fresh and piping hot. Dumplings: I dint taste it, but my kiddo liked it. they used styrofoam box for it, and dumplings were super duper hot, personally I don't like/prefer when very hot( temperature wise) packed in styrofoam container. Green curry: I asked it for spicy, they had made super spicy, weird thing this they had added so much red chili paste in it, you can see small flakes of it, and there was so much chili seeds settled at the bottom, curry itself was thin, but easily 2-3 people can share.

Not a bad place for some Thai food. I would come here again for something quick and easy. If you're trying to satisfy the hunger needs for Thai. I would recommend this place. Not a whole lot of sauce on the noodles, which I would recommend adding more, but other than that it was great. People working easy to talk to it's a food truck place so don't expect top notch service. The area is nice and it was quickly served to us.

Excellent Thai Food! So happy to have found an authentic place right nearby that's so delicious and reasonably priced. We ordered a red curry, green curry and drunken noodles. Very pleased with the portion sizes (the curry was nearly double what I've gotten at other Thai places in the area) and the flavors were on point! The only thing I would say is be a bit careful with the spice level you order if you don't like things spicy! I can handle the heat and got my curry hot, but my BF found his medium level spice curry too hot for his tastes . Other than that, everything was great! It's a very unassuming food truck, but stop by and you won't be disappointed! Flavor: 4.5/5 Portion size: 5/5 Value for money: 5/5 Can't wait to visit here again soon to try more of their menu!

Pad see ew (Chicken, no bean sprouts)
    Beverly S.

Ordered the pad see ew with chicken no bean sprouts and literally didn't get home until an hour or so after ordering and it was still warm meaning it was piping hot when I got it. It was very tasty def the best pad see ew I've had thus far. Inexpensive and they don't skimp you (large portions). Ordering was simple, wait was not bad at all..about 15 mins tops so it gave me time to look around and peep other trucks in the area I'll be returning to try.

Followed a recommendation from neighbors and what a surprising place! The food was outstanding and portion size was three meals worth!

I like Thai food a lot and have tried many places. This place is good, however food was not that good. Food has lack of authentic taste. I probably won't go back there.

We just picked up food for the first time. The service was wonderful and the food was ready in the 25 min window I was given. The truck is in a food trailer park right off 183. There were 4 or 5 other trailers there as well as seating in the middle common area. We took our food to go and even though we are more than 20 mins away the food is we piping hot when we got home. We ordered (see pics) 1. Rice balls - 7 to an order. They tasted like sticky rice with curry paste and deep fried. Unique and I'm glad we got them. 7 to an order. 2. Cheese rolls - yum! How can you go wrong with deep fried cream cheese. It came with a sweet green dipping sauce. 4 come in an order. 3. Egg rolls - 3 per order. They were fine. Nothing wrong with them at all but I wouldn't order them again. 4. Pad Thai - very good. I'm not a big pad Thai fun but the family is so we always get it. It was actually quite good and that's saying something for a non-pad Thai eater. 5. Red curry with beef. It was ok. I didn't expect bit chunks of pineapple in it. It wasn't bad but I wouldn't order it again. They give you a lot of curry and a small standard scoop of rice. Keep this in mind and order a couple of extra rice sides if more than 2 people are eating. You won't be able to finish the curry with the amount of rice the provide. 6. Pineapple fried rice. Very unusual. I can't figure out how to describe it. Please look at my photo. It was mixed with some spices that I cannot identify. Not spicy at all. It had nuts and raisins and was just too weird for me. It wasn't like any fried rice I've ever had. So nice to experience something different but I wouldn't order it again. This place gets 3 stars for food and 5 stars for service and packaging so rounding to 4 stars overall. Please like my review and pictures if you find them helpful!

Are they closed down?? Came by on a Wednesday around 5:30?

I'd say call before stopping by, that's what I do, some times they don't pick the call first time, try 2-3 times.

We usually prefer a heavy heat, but found that levels 8 and 9 were still relatively mild. If you're a true spice lover, you might want to venture into the double digits! The service has always been great--servers are attentive, friendly, and quick to clear plates, which we've always appreciated. It's part of why we kept coming back. We usually order the fried pompano, and it's always been a favorite. But the last couple of times, the fish has been noticeably smaller--like almost half the size it used to be. That was already a letdown. What really did it for us, though, was finding a plastic to-go cup lid inside one of our drink glasses. It was buried in there, and completely threw us off. At that point, we were just done. It's a bummer because we've liked this place for a long time, but between the smaller portions and that experience, we won't be coming back.

The combo plate is the way to go if you want to try the poached and fried chicken. You get a variety of textures and flavors, both juicy and crunchy. Both sauces are great to dip in and the chicken goes great with the rice. If you can handle spice, the boat noodles are a great option too.
