We asked the operator's name (I'm not sure if he's the owner or not). He said his name was Patrick and was so lovely to talk to. We could smell the food as he was preparing it and could hear the wok moving constantly. We also tried their homemade mango ice cream, which was an exceptional way to end a fiery meal. My son got the pork belly, Penang curry. He loves pork belly, and Penang curry, and usually pork belly is jiggly and fatty and fairly lackluster from a flavor perspective in my opinion. This was a either fried or definitely cooked more than usual pork belly, which gave you that delicious silkiness yet it also had a chew versus it just being fatty. The curry was thick, flavorful, and probably the best I've had in a very long time. I got the number five and I told him I wanted it Thai hot. He double checked with me to make sure that I could handle that level of heat because this was authentic and I told him I could. I ALMOST regret my confidence in my tongue's ability, but it was exactly what I wanted. Their Thai hot was definitely Thai hot. It was so delicious, fresh, and hit the spot. There's also signage that says Halal so my parents ate here as well which was super convenient. We ordered lollipop chicken, Schezwan lollipop chicken, tandoori chicken fried rice, chicken Schezwan noodles, and chicken Hakka noodles. Price came to about $65 before tax. The noodle and rice dishes came completely packed and we were really surprised and happy about that. Really amazing portions. To rate each dish: Lollipop Chicken - 9/10: These are wings to resemble lollipops, marinated in spices, and deep fried. Absolutely nostalgic and hit all the right spots. But in my recent trip to Austin, I found these amazing Momos The stuffing was exactly as we like back in Delhi- the perfect balance of flavors and the satisfying texture. The accompanying sauces, particularly the spicy tomato-based , are often highlighted as excellent complements to the momos, enhancing the overall taste experience. And the most recent awful change also relating to hours is how little they are now open! I ordered P2, my typical choice of rare steak and brisket and I was not let down. The meat was fresh and tender, the broth was not too watery or salty, and garnishes were fresh and plentiful. It would be nice to have had some chili oil on the table, I'm sure they have it and next time I'll ask. Overall a great value for the price where you're not making compromises on quality. I will say though, that I have noticed the quantity of their dishes have gone down a little over the years, which I imagine is to be expected given inflation these days. It's a Thai family-owned restaurant, and the dishes are in my opinion, authentic. Well, at least the boat noodle soup is. I have tried the typical fried noodle dishes here as well (think pad thai, pad see ew etc.) and they are all really delicious. It's one legit Thai restaurant I would highly recommend to friends and family to visit. I came here last week for lunch and saw that they have lunch specials during weekdays. Staff is attentive and accommodating. The interior of the restaurant is clean and inviting. They even had fresh roses at every table, which I thought was a really nice touch. They also have an outdoor patio if you would like to sit outside, overlooking the road. I can't imagine sitting outside now during this summer weather we are having but definitely for cooler months.
