This place is one of my regular spots. I especially like the panang curry and the pineapple fried rice. You should try their regular ice tea, it's uniquely spiced compared to other places. Their spice levels (1 thru 5) are not as hot as other Thai places but they will go higher than 5 if you ask. Service is always friendly and attentive here. They don't serve alcohol, but it's a good place for a date; although they've very recently started making their employees wear uniform ball caps which I think is a mistake and clashes with the atmosphere. Have been many times but sometimes after a visit you are just like " wow, this was so amazing! ". I had been ill for days and finally able to eat again, this visit. Probably not the menu a doc would suggest but was craving the chicken coconut soup. Added a side of steamed rice and enjoyed every.single. drop. They definitely do the Tom Kar Kai right here. Dining at Thai Stellar was overall a pleasant experience with a few ups and downs. First off, the ambiance was cozy and calm as there were light-up fish that lined the ceiling and beautifully decorated murals lining the walls. The restaurant's unique atmosphere was an amazing aspect that welcomed us warmly. We came in on a Sunday around 3:30, so it wasn't busy and we were seated immediately. After being seated, we ordered drinks: Thai tea, Sprite, lemonade, and waters. The Thai Tea was worth noting for its sweet, velvety taste. We then ordered our entrees: the Pad Thai with chicken, Pad See Ew with tofu, Drunken Noodles with beef, Red Curry with chicken and beef, and Peppered Steak with sides of fried rice and glass noodles. Upon ordering, the waitress asked if we wanted each dish's spice level on a scale of 1-5. We ordered most dishes at a 2 - 4 spice level. Each dish came at different times, however, on average it took around 15 minutes for our food to arrive. The food portions are quite large and shareable, which makes sense as to why it took a bit long. One thing I would consider when ordering is the spice level, as many of the dishes were not spicy at all, even at level 4. The Pad Thai, Peppered Steak, and Drunken Noodles were all flavorful, saucy dishes and some of the most notable dishes that we recommend. The Pad See Ew was decent and lacked the same flavor that the other dishes had. The Red Curry was a bit too oily and was overpowered by the coconut milk aspect. For dessert, we ordered the Crispy Fried Banana Ice Cream and the Mango Sticky Rice. For the sticky rice, be aware of the coconut flavor as many people in our group had mixed opinions about its taste. The banana ice cream was gooey on the inside and crispy on the outside with a soft, sweet ice cream on top. After ordering the food and receiving our checks, it took around 20 minutes for the waitress to pick up our cards so we could leave. Keep in mind, there were only two other groups in the restaurant and our waitress was on her phone most of the time. After a long 20 minutes, we ended up asking the waitress ourselves for our cards to be taken up and charged. In essence, we enjoyed our food but the service was a bit too slow. read more

More people need to go here, it's authentic and modern at the same time. The curry and tom yum taste just like if you were in Thailand. It's even better than their location in clear lake which is one of the best Thai s places in houston. Thai village and Thai spice would be mid range and something like merlion would be bottom tier for taste and customer service. Just the little details make this small place great. For example the Pad See Ew with seafood have the shrimp and octopus slightly seared to give it a bit more flavor. It's details like that that will keep me coming back! I'm so excited to have Thai Stellar now in Pearland. I have been going to the location in Webster for years but it would be sometimes inconvenient having to make the drive. I was so happy when I found out that they had opened a location in Pearland. It's the same owner and was hoping the quality would be just as "Stellar" and boy, they did not disappoint. From the service, the decor and most importantly, the food...they knocked it out of the park! The egg rolls were perfectly crispy with a thin wrapper, which allowed the wonderful flavors of the filling the shine through. For our entrees we ordered the pad Thai and pad see ew. The pad see ew noodles are homemade daily (which you can definitely taste) and are perfectly soft and chewy, the beef was extremely tender with crispy edges and had the most delicious and delicate smoky flavor. The Pad Thai was wonderfully portioned and the tamarind sauce was perfectly balanced between sweet, tangy and spicy. We ended our meal with the tapioca dessert which was moist, warm, had delicious pieces of young coconut throughout and had the perfect amount of sweetness with a hint of saltiness at the end. I have been a fan and now that we have one in Pearland, I may need a separate budget to support my habit. Please come and try it and support this small business. You won't be disappointed! read more

We ate here last night and the food was so good! We started with their egg rolls which were so tasty! We both loved the sauce they came with. For our meals, I ordered the cellophane noodles with chicken and my boyfriend ordered the drunken noodles with chicken. You get to choose your spice level. I'm a wimp when it comes to spicy stuff so I ordered mine at a level 1 which was good for me. My boyfriend ordered his at a level 2. He said his was the perfect amount of spice and he likes spicy things. Portion size was good too! We were stuffed and still both ended up taking over half of our food home. They don't serve alcohol but have a BYOB policy. I just got water and he ordered a Diet Coke. He was given a glass of ice and a can of Diet Coke. Oh, and the restaurant is super cute inside! We called the Pearland location at 2:55 pm on New Year's Eve and asked what time they close. We were told 4:00 pm. We looked at the menu and called back at 3:10 to place a to go order. They had already turned off their phone!! We went up there just in case and the sign on the door also said closing on NYE at 4:00 but they were gone. If they were closing early they could have told us they were closed when we called. This is a new restaurant in this location and wanted to give it a try. We like this new(er) Pearland location much better than the location on NASA Road 1. The interior is bright and clean, and there is ample space in the adjacent parking lot. The service was friendly and attentive. The food was delicious, with generous servings for lunch specials. The prices are reasonable. We had two lunch specials, pad thai with chicken and shrimp, and drunken noodles with chicken and shrimp. The lunch specials come with a cup of tom yum soup and little fried crisps. The tom yum soup was the best I have had in years. The pad thai and drunken noodles were really, really good, too! We also sampled the Thai dumplings, which were freshly made and very tasty. This is the best Thai food in the Pearland area, IMHO. We will definitely be returning. But be aware, they are closed from 2-5, even tho their website says open all day.
