I regularly come to Crawfish Cafe because the food and service is excellent. The staff is always friendly and every visit has been a great experience. My favorite sauce is the Coco Loco sauce! It's often sold out because it's so good. I also never skip the crawfish cheesy bread. It's to die for! This time my friend ordered the flounder and boudin balls, and both were delicious. Every time I visit the city, y'all already know that Crawfish Cafe is my first stop after the airport and last stop before I go home. This is my favorite crawfish joint in the entire country, but my first time at this location. The wait was a bit longer than I'm used to, but it's understandable for a Friday evening. I highly recommend adding your name to their Yelp wait list from the app before heading there. Learn from our experience and optimize accordingly, LMAO. Something that never lets me down is viet-cajun cuisine and oh boy did this place WOW me. We got their shrimp, smack pack, and of course ordered some mussels with crawfish. Loved the Vietnamese style crawfish at crawfish cafe! Viet cajun fusion crawfish is the best of the best crawfish style and this is the closest spot outside of downtown and Bellaire . We visited during peak season in April and the mud bugs were as big as regular shrimp. We ordered a few pounds of the Thai basil and crazy Cajun crawfish extra spicy along with with some garlic butter shrimp. The spice kevel wasn't too bad and if you want some actual heat order extra spicy. Crawfish were large and sweet and the shrimp was equally as good. The Thai basil was probably my favorite flavor as I prefer the sweet/savory Asian flavors over plain pepper in normal Cajun boils. For apps we ordered the oyster nachos which were served on crispy wontons and crawfish beignets which were cheesy and infused with fresh crawfish and topped with Cajun seasoning. Meredith is a fantastic waitress (5 stars)! One of the best I've seen. She was just the right amount of friendly, attentive and informative waitstaff. Now the 3 star ranking is for the food. The fried shrimp and catfish were good but the gumbo's shrimp tasted too under cooked and weirdly soft. The red beans and rice were so so and garlic shrimp and noodles were okay. The best dish on the table was the boil which was described as delicious. Place is in a strip shopping center with other eateries. Place has plenty of tables and was nice and clean. I came to Crawfish Cafe for the charbroiled oysters. I was in the area with friends for the Houston rodeo and we wanted charbroiled oysters. The service was good. We went during lunch. We were quickly seated and served. Our food came out quickly and our drinks came out quickly. The ambiance of the restaurant was casual. It was a relaxed environment. I got the Category 5 drink. So glad they opened a closer location no more driving to Bellaire or the Heights. The food tastes exactly the same as their other locations, which is a huge plus. My go-tos are the oyster nachos and the Grail Mix crawfish always on point. They were also one of the first spots to consistently have live crawfish, back when most places either had frozen or kept running out. I easily eat here 1-2 times a week during crawfish season. As a long-time fan of Crawfish Cafe, starting from their original spot in Bellaire and following their journey to the Heights, I was excited to see the recent opening of their new location in Pearland. With spacious parking available in a great plaza, my expectations were high as I drove out to support the business. Upon arrival, I was pleased to find the staff incredibly friendly, and I was seated immediately after entering the establishment. I ordered my usual favorites: the coco loco crawfish and blue crabs with fried okra. However, there was a mix-up with my order, but I appreciated their swift response in correcting it. When it comes to the taste, though, I was disappointed. Everything was excessively salty, which was quite shocking given Crawfish Cafe's previously high standards. If I had done a blind taste test, I wouldn't have recognized my meal as coming from them. Crawfish was quite small, crabs was overcooked where it became mushy. Unfortunately, I couldn't finish my food as the saltiness made me feel uncomfortable. For now, I think I'll stick with the Bellaire and Heights locations. I hope this new spot can find its footing and return to the quality I've come to love from Crawfish Cafe. read more

My co-worker came here for dinner. He got the catfish poboy and fries. I got the Cajun fried rice with half crawfish and half shrimp. My coworker said his poboy was not bad, but definitely had better. My rice was good, but could've used some more Cajun seasoning in my opinion. The waitress struggled. We had to continually ask for refills for our drinks. We asked for another refill towards the end of dinner and she brought us to-go drinks without even asking if we're done with our food. We had to have another server refill our to-go cups because our original server never came back after we paid our bill. I'd try it again, but hopefully we'll have another server. read more

At that time, they had run out of fresh crawfish and only had frozen, and had also run out of their thai basil flavor. Got the garlic butter crawfish and fries. The fries were nice and crispy, the kind of fries people dream about. The crawfish was flavorful, with a good portion of large crawfish to balance the smaller ones. The restaurant was quiet at first but by the time we left, it was booming, with a line forming outside. Had crawfish cafe again recently, just takeout instead and the crawfish was delicious still. A little smaller but with a good mix of large crawfish too. It's good enough to hold up to the nostalgia factor of a home crawfish boil in terms of taste. I called for days and no answer and tried messaging and no reply so we had to just go to the place and wait 90 minutes to get seated. No big deal as we just hung out between Jinya's bar and Paris Baguette. This strip center has quite a few great options, there is also a Via313 which I tried the Clear Lake location and I very much enjoyed it. Parking - well if you get there at dinner time it's a mess, figured the best option would just be to go to the back of the building and park...they have clearance between the 2 buildings to walk through to get to the front. Eats - Garlic Noodles - gotta have them (Flavors I don't know as friends ordered Shrimp - deveined yes, good size, very tasty Mussels - were amazing) Crab Legs - Garlic butter spicy - loved them, cooked just right, no struggle getting the crab out. Crawfish- Garlic butter spicy is my go to, love the flavor, the garlic, butteriness and a little hint of sweetness and spiciness. Will have to check out extra spicy next time. Showed up for a Saturday evening dinner, around 8ish. I was a little concerned as some of our yelp-folk had noted there have been outages later in the day. Outages meaning no crawfish. Luckily, no such issue for our evening, but we did have to wait a wee bit. We were told 20 minutes for a wait, and it was closer to 45. This was our second attempt to come, so we stuck it out. Thems the breaks. Seating seems quite plentiful. There were open tables everywhere, and a lot of space. I think the wait was more for the human resources, as opposed to space availability. The staff were hustling. Even so, service was a little slow. You have an open view of behind the counter, so when folks are posted up chilling out in the back, you see it. We had to repeat some requests for a few things, a few times, before it got handled. Still a relatively new business ,so I'll chalk it up to growing pains. We had beer, some sides and crawfish. Crawfish, we did 3 lbs each to start, flavor was a custom mix of The Grail and Lemon Pepper seasoning. I also asked for a cup of the sauce on the side to dip my critters in. In all honesty, the bottom of the bowl tastes a million times better than the fresh sauce, because of all the mixing and boiling, but you have to get to the bottom before you can use it. The cup helped, and it wasn't overly priced at $1. I'd do it again. We ended up ordering a second round of critters just before last call. The bad thing about crawfish, is that you never get full. The good thing about having a bunch of crawfish at 9pm is that you don't feel uncomfortably full for the rest of the night after eating so late. Perspective. We also ordered garlic Noodles. I got the side portion, it was good. I wouldn't want that as a full order. The Fried Okra, was solid, nothing fancy. The same for the Hushpuppies. If you like them you like them, and you've had them before. First visit went smooth. There was no wait and the restaurant was clean. We ordered 3lbs crawfish, 2 pounds headless shrimp and 1 pound of mussels- all with the signature sauce and spicy. If you know me, then you know my kicks stay clean and I won't be dining in a puddle of crawfish carcasses. I look around outside and there is trash everywhere. I mention this to our server and she says "oh ok" and doesn't even clean the food up from under our table. Everything was just okay. Nothing really stood out except for the flavors! The crawfish were well-seasoned and they offer unique flavor profiles but the crawfish itself was average. Came out later than we expected and it was not hot. We also ordered salt and pepper wings! The onions were a great addition but the salt and pepper flavor was lacking. For my last meal before leaving Pearland to head back to Phoenix (it feels weird to type this as I recently moved), I stopped by Crawfish Cafe for lunch on a Saturday with my mom. Crawfish Cafe recently opened in a busy shopping center that it shares with Hash Kitchen, Jinya, Cosmic Ice Cream, and several other businesses. I have been to their location in Houston so I was excited to try it out in the burbs. While the shopping center is busy, I found a parking spot easily. Ambiance (4/5): Upon checking in, we were allowed to pick our table and opted for a booth close to the open kitchen. They have several TVs which was perfect because March Madness was going on. They also have a beautiful mural of Pearland that adorns pretty much an entire wall which was pretty cool. Service (4/5): They changed the TV channel so I could watch March Madness which is always appreciated. Our waitress was friendly and did a good job checking in on us. My only complaint has to do with logistics. My mom's side came out well before her entree so that was a bit weird. They should come out together. It's not like she had an appetizer and an entree. Drinks (3/5): I'm a huge fan of sweet tea so I always appreciate when this is an option at a restaurant. Unfortunately, it's too sweet here. It is sweet tea after all but this took things up to a different level. Cutting back on the sweetness a bit would do the trick. Food (3/5): I went with the garlic noodles and added crawfish tails. A bit expensive but I love crawfish. Speaking of crawfish, this may blow your mind, but people come to Crawfish Cafe for the fresh crawfish. You pick your sauce, you can add other seafood too, and then you get to work. So, the crawfish tails delivered and there was a good amount of crawfish. Unfortunately, the garlic noodles were meh. The garlic sauce didn't do it for me, though I was happy with the generous portion size. I definitely had leftovers! I'm a fan of garlic noodles, and absolutely love them at Ong Jas, for example, but they aren't great here. Stopped by this place around noon and had to drive around the parking lot for about 10-15mins to find a spot. There are several new restaurants in this strip, so if you get here afternoon and before 2, you will wait. We were able to get seating outside for 3. Inside is small and the patio is smaller, but I like that they have an individual sink on the way to the restroom to simply wash your hands after you eat. We ordered; Apps:Crawfish cheese bread (best bite)/Empanadas Entrees: Gumbo/ Boiled Crawfish/Shrimp/Turkey necks If you like cheese, the Cheesy Crawfish Toast is a must. My wife and I like to check out local spots and today's random choice was Crawfish Cafe. When I tell you Crawfish Cafe did not disappoint. I enjoyed every part of my meal to include the Lechee Mai Tai drinks, it's Sunday in Texas, gotta find a nice drink to compliment this amazing meal. I was a little apprehensive on if I wanted to even get a crab boil because I had been disappointed earlier in the week. But as a girl born in Baltimore and raised in DC, Crabs and the like are essential summer grabs. Anywho, I was so surprised at how delicious this meal was. Not for nothing, I'm used to a certain standard when it comes to seafood because Maryland is specifically known for its crabs. The tastes blew me away. I opted for the XL Smack Pack substituting the rice for garlic noodles, and my wife got the Snack Pack. We also got some crawfish empanadas. At first glance, I was taken away by the presentation. It was picture perfect. These photos do it no justice, however the taste was beyondddd what I expected. The noodles were cooked perfectly, the shrimp was also cooked to perfection. We both substituted our sausages for pineapple sausages and it was just as I expected. Juicy and delicious. I devoured my corn. Thank god I substituted the potato for another corn. The fact that they make it so easy to make the substitutions when you order online also is a huge plus. As this was being our first time we went inside and the ambiance was welcoming and bright. Customers seemed to feel at home as it was super spacious and we saw plenty of families dining in. They have a glass where you can see the chefs at work if you were one of those picky eaters. However, for customers convenience they have a pick up only drive thru. That's a huge perk especially if you're on the go and don't wish to dine in. This is so dangerous LOL Crawfish season is what I look forward to every year and Crawfish Cafe just got A LOT closer to home. I used to make the trek to Bellaire a few times a week to get some Grail (garlic butter Thai basil) crawfish. They stayed true to the quality of the OG crawfish cafe. You can tell that the owners really ensure that all of the satellite sites don't deter from Bellaire. The flavor and quality is amazing! And, an added bonus is the drive thru window! I like to order my crawfish to go and let it sit in the sauce on the drive home so it's the perfect texture and consistency. They just made my life even easier with the drive thru so I can take my toddler in tow to pick up my favorite food. It's also right next door to pho prime (which is delicious) and Paris baguette for my savory tooth! I wish they opened up an even bigger location because the parking lot cannot keep up! read more

Very busy but was seated quickly with a group of 8. Food was fresh and the shrimp was fantastic on my bowl of garlic noodles, everyone else got rice in their bowls which was good but I had to share my noodles. Will definitely go back when we are in the area. read more
