Great little spot for seafood lovers right in Manvel. Prices and portions are decent and the patio is a great spot to actually hang out and enjoy the breeze without direct heat from the sun. I apreciated Honore's having a few games for the kids to keep them busy while the adults eat and chat. Didn't see anything on the website... I ordered the poboy with catfish and fries. When I picked up the to go plate, I just knew somebody's order had been combined with mine because the bag was heavy! Turns out they give Humongous portions at Honore's. Only thing: Although, I didnt ask for tartar sauce, no ketchup or cocktail sauce with my to go order. Still the poboy wad fresh and filled from end to end with catfish. Fries were hot and fresh in the take out box and not too salty, so I had to enjoy a few before leaving. Most definetly you have to order the coveted boudin balls. I got a small pack of both the original and pepper jack since they were on sale for Happy Hour. They didn't disapppoint. They were slightly bigger than a golf ball and the gooey pepper jack cheese was a great compliment to the crunchy exterior. Topped with Remoulade or Ranch and I got pretty full just off Boudin balls. The miss for me is the frozen drinks- especially the frozen Hurricane slushy. Tasted like medicine, but about an hour later I did feel a little kick from the drink. My friend agreed but tried the blue flavor and stated it was better than the hurricane. We enjoyed our little meet up at Honore's so much, we lost track of time. I was really impressed by my experience here! The catch was crispy, the crawfish etouffee was authentic, the crawfish was seasoned. The only let down was that all the food outside of the crawfish was underseasoned but I took the food home and added a little extra and used some condiments and it was good! The service was good and quick! I didn't stay to eat but I sat inside during my wait and the space was clean and spacious. I look forward to retuning next time I'm on this side of town. read more

Twenty-one minute drive from my house for some crawfish! Nobody told me nothing about coming early on a Sunday. That line was long and it wasn't moving fast enough because i arrived ready to eat. We ordered eight pounds of mud bugs, crawfish Cajun pasta, strawberry margarita, a soda, two potato's and an egg. Grand total $123.23. My son said the pasta was delicious. We both voted the crawfish on a scale 1-10 was about a 7. Nice size tails and claws but the seasoning didn't stick well so we had to refer to the garlic butter. The eggs and potatoes didn't have any seasoning. I love how the staff keeps it clean. Parking and seating is real good even it was packed out. It was still room for more. I've made this place a regular over the last year when I want my crawfish fix. It's decently priced especially when you're ordering the crawfish in large quantities. It can get busy later on in crawfish season where there's no seating really available, but the workers are really friendly. A friend and I visited Honore's Cajun Café for lunch two weeks ago. I love that they have an outdoor patio and the service was good. I wanted to sample the crawfish étouffée. My friend tried the red beans and rice, the gumbo and the crawfish étouffée. I have to say that the chafe while it had good flavor was off. Something was not right with the dish and I returned it and they offered me another dish or a refund. I tried another dish and it was excellent. My friend was impressed with the gumbo and the red beans and rice. He too noticed that something was off with the étouffée. But, unlike me, he ate the dish and was not worse for ware! I drive past this place all the time! living in nola for last seven years has made me skeptical to try cajun foods outside of The big Ez area. i only went thru drive thru today. the service was good. kiddo was nice. i placed ordered at the window. there was a car behind me so i did a loop knowing my food may take some time so person behind me can order. I only ordered the side of onion rings (i wanted the appetizer portion but i think the kiddo didn't hear me) Good hand battered onion rings...luckily i already had wingstop ranch at home to dip the rings in. wish i had the comeback sauce for it. i was also curious about pepperjack boudin balls. some places dont put enough cheese but Honore did. i'm glad about that. The balls aren't as crispy as the ones in Scott, LA but it can satisfy my cravings. also i wish the sauce was not missing from the order. ambiance is normal i guess for a drive thru. plenty of parking spaces tho the lot is a bit rough. i hope they have happy hour still so i can order more balls later. i wanted to try the oysters alone and not the platter bc i don't want fries, hushpuppies or coleslaw. that's just too much carbs lol. i want the protein! i will try again next time. read more

I am a fan g good gumbo, actually gumbo is like s*x, some are better than others but none ate bad. that said: roux was a 3 beer chocolate and outstanding. meats good. did not taste the trinity and no real veggies (except rice). Sunday April 6, 2025-drive thru! I only rated this a three star because of the service received from the young lady who took my order. She was very pleasant & had a jolly spirit. Long story short, I ordered 3 lb of crawfish which did not look like 3 lbs, young lady got the manager, he was so quick to go into a defensive mode stating they weigh their crawfish before bagging, which I am very aware of that that's the only way you going to get a number to pounds you have to weigh it, but on the other hand if you weigh it before bagging that means you weigh it with the juice inside of the Bowl before you pour it in the bag or however you put it in there you're weighing it along with the juice! However I purchased the same number of pounds from another establishment two to three days prior, same size, which were mixed and received more crawfish than what I paid for at honores. He he offered to weigh the Crawfish again, but what good does it do for you to weigh them when I can't visually see the scale for myself. The bag was full of juice which I'm pretty sure that was part of the weight. But moving forward, I came home, ate the crawfish, next day got up went to work, and after I arrive to work I immediately start feeling sick & throwing up. I was feeling bad right before I pulled into work, but didn't think nothing of it. I realized it was food poisoning from the crawfish, after I kept throwing up, as this was the only meal I had on Sunday which was around 7:00 p.m. 13 hours later I was throwing up and of course throwing up & along with everything else that comes with food poisoning, sweats, fever,...etc. I had to leave work. I very seldom make reviews. And when I do, I don't make one to tear down anyone's establishment. Only when something really affects me. I've been going to this restaurant for at least 6 years now, and this is the first time I've ever encountered any type of issues, no matter how many complaints I've seen others post in the crawfish groups on social media. I don't like how the manager became so defensive with the weight of the Crawfish, when I know that it not 3 lb of crawfish. It was probably two and a half or less with the remaining weight being liquid. Will I return? Once I left there, I said I would because I like this place! But after getting sick, no! I'm making this review because I got sick & the defensive axx manager nasty attitude, not because I felt like they cheated me on the crawfish. Just so happened things happen this way. Great place for a cold beer and some good Cajun food. They have a large outdoor area where we sat with our dogs one time. The Cajun rolls were really good and spicy. On a Friday evening, I decided to stop by Honore's Cajun Cafe for dinner. Like most Cajun restaurants, Honore's has a laid back and casual fee. After parking in their gravel lot, I walked in and took a look at the menu. You order at the counter and they bring your food to your table. While I was perusing the menu, I noticed that they have a solid happy hour. Sadly, I was too late. I ordered the captain's platter with crawfish tails, coleslaw, fries, and gator. I love the variety though it wasn't cheap. I washed everything down with a sweet tea. I've always been a fan of Cajun restaurants because I love New Orleans. I always feel like I'm getting a taste of Nola when I visit a spot like Honore's. While they had free WiFi, it wasn't working while I was there. And for some reason, maybe because of the building, I had really poor cell reception there. They do have a patio but I ended up sitting inside. The food was good and the coleslaw stood out. It was more flavorful than your typical coleslaw. For the price, the portion size was smaller than I expected. A couple of hits and misses on my visit. I'd try them again for happy hour. read more

This was a first for me after seeing on social media decided to give it a try. The menu is not too overwhelming. I ordered some crawfish and boudin balls. I liked the boudin balls but the crawfish were bland and very tiny. They were 12.99 a pound which wasn't too bad. The boudin balls were 1.35 each during happy hour and they have drink specials as well. Happy hour is from 3-6pm. They have a nice sized dining area and patio. There's also a full bar. Visited for the first time a few days ago and really enjoyed the food. We ordered boudin balls which were delicious! Definitely recommend! Gator bites which were also good. I had the Cajun fettuccini with chicken that was really good and not over saucy which I enjoyed. We also ordered the crawfish, I feel they could have used a bit more flavor coating but over all they were good.
