    The Crescent City Dogg
    D J.

I had a chance to try this food truck today and the food was delish! I had the chicken and sausage gumbo and the Crescent City Dog. All of the hot dogs are made with andouille sausage and they come with a side of fries for a very reasonable price. I was completely full. The sausage was full of flavor but not spicy. The fries were also well seasoned. I'd definitely recommend this food truck if you like Cajun flavors.

Waited an hour for the place to open because we hear all the hype but You think because is run by soul food lovers with that Cajun spice they will make good food .. we order hotdogsc, fries and boudin balls and Let me tell you those bitches were still frozen from the center and the macaroni was also cold on top of the fries .. The fries it self and hot dogs are decent but the Rest not recommended

Mo City Eatz - Hot Lemon Peppa Wings & Fries

    Mo City Eatz

    (17 reviews)

MO City Eatz -- A St. Louis Love Letter with Italian Soul and Black Flavor…read more Being from St. Louis, you grow up with a very specific food compass. You know good Italian--real Italian--from The Hill, and you know soulful, seasoned Black American cooking that feeds more than just your stomach. MO City Eatz somehow manages to bring both worlds together, and it feels natural, not forced--like something that's always belonged here. From the first bite, the food carries that St. Louis confidence: bold, comforting, and made with intention. Shrimp Po' Boy & Fries The Shrimp Po' Boy hits that perfect balance between crispy and tender. The shrimp are seasoned deep--not just on the surface--and fried just right, giving you that crunch without drowning out the freshness of the seafood. The bread is soft but sturdy, holding everything together like it's supposed to. It's Southern-inspired, but the flavor profile is elevated--almost like a coastal dish filtered through Midwest soul. The fries? Golden, hot, and properly seasoned. No afterthoughts here. Hot Lemon Peppa Wings & Fries These wings are a standout. The Hot Lemon Peppa flavor punches you first with heat, then pulls you back in with that citrusy tang that keeps you reaching for another wing. They're juicy on the inside with a crisp skin that actually holds the sauce--no soggy business. This is where that Black American influence really shines. Bold, unapologetic flavor that feels like it came straight from the community--done right, with pride. St. Louis Toasted Ravioli If you're from St. Louis, you don't play about toasted ravioli--and MO City Eatz clearly understands the assignment. These ravs are crispy, well-seasoned, and taste like something you'd proudly serve next to any Hill classic. The filling is rich, the breading is light but crunchy, and every bite feels like a nod to the city's deep Italian roots--fresh, comforting, and familiar. It tastes like Italy took a stop in St. Louis and decided to stay. House Drinks The drinks deserve their own moment. Muddy Water Tea is smooth, refreshing, and perfectly balanced--not too sweet, not watered down. Zaria's Lemonade tastes homemade in the best way: bright, tart, and refreshing, like summertime in the city. Tropical Punch Kool-Aid is pure nostalgia. Sweet, vibrant, and exactly how Kool-Aid should taste--no corners cut. Final Thoughts MO City Eatz feels like St. Louis on a plate. It respects the city's Italian legacy while embracing the seasoning, creativity, and heart of Black American cuisine. The food tastes fresh, intentional, and rooted--like it knows where it comes from. This isn't just a meal; it's a cultural blend that makes sense for St. Louis. If you're looking for flavor that feels like home but still surprises you, MO City Eatz is absolutely worth the stop.

Mediocre at best…read more Small portions. Big price for what you get. The 3 catfish meal consisted of what's equivalent to 3 catfish fingers. I was expecting filets for the price. Seasoning was not that flavorful. Fries were meh. The restaurant is decorated nicely, but it's all style, no substance. There's so many other spots with delicious catfish, I will not have it again here. I may try another dish and hopefully be able to update this review with.

It was hopping on a Saturday night, as they have a few other businesses in the same parking lot. Finding a spot was easy for me, but that's because I was lucky. The lot was packed and I just happened to be in the right spot at the right time. I'll take the win. Walking in the restaurant has outdoor seating, and indoor. A pretty good line when we walked in leading up to the door, but it went quickly. About half of the tables on the interior in use, but it was very easy to find a place to sit. Outdoor was about maybe 1/4 capacity. They have a pretty interesting menu, it definitely fits along the gastropub line. I was very tempted to do tacos and burgers but our goal was burgers and I stuck to it. I had the Brie and candied bacon burger. Was it messy? Yes, yes it was. Was it phenomenal? Yes, yes it was. With candied jalapeno, candied bacon, arugula and a fire vinaigrette, this was my favorite burger. The jalapeno was flavored but not spicy. For those who are adverse to heat. The vinaigrette really sets off this burger, on top of the medly of flavors. Cooked to juicy perfection, would 100% get this again. The gal went with the California Burger. Also an excellent choice, but I liked mine more. This one serves up sliced avocado, bacon, tomato, arugula, Swiss, and again, a house vinaigrette. Whoever thought let's make a burger more wet, you were right. That's why we have napkins. Both the truffle fries, and the onion rings sounded good. So we ended up just getting both. The truffle fries had fantastic flavor but it felt like we had the bottom of the bag. All of the fries were very tiny. It's like when you go out for fast food, and it's all the tiny broken pieces at the bottom of your fries. They also come with a nice dipping sauce. Highly recommend. The onion rings were fantastic, I really enjoy how they are battered. I served by themselves, they are delightful. The staff were excellent! They continued to check on everybody and make sure that they had everything they needed, they were busing tables left and right. Very proactive in keeping the place clean and getting seating turned around for the next customer pretty quick. We will definitely be coming back to try more items on their menu. They also have what appears to be an upscale joint next door of the same name with wine. That will also be a place that we'd like to check out in the future. Is it a drive, yes. Is good food and good experience worth the time and effort to get there, it absolutely is. Check them out. See what you think!
