    Turkey Wings

I don't think these people are making all the food in the same day. They have pans stacked with wrap, but they're not refilling the food. They're also focused on fixing their own Togo plates for when they leave. The gravy is so think on the turkey wings bc of how old it is, the rice is cold as well. It's 2 hours from closing and she couldn't give me fresh cabbage, but they clearly put out a new pan of Mac and cheese. Though it also looked like it had been out for at least an hour. The cornbread is thin and hard as hell too. So disappointing since it's so close to my house. I feel like I should've just left without getting anything, but I don't have time to go find something else. I also think it's crazy to include the rice as a side when it's apart of the main dish. Probably won't be back.

Heeey! Second time visiting Mikki's Soul Food Cafe in Pearland, TX on March 30, 2026 and the food is still excellent. I ordered smothered turkey wing in gravy with mashed potatoes, collard greens and yams - exquisite! My daughter ordered Oxtails, Mac & cheese along with collard greens. The cornbread muffins were tasty also. Mikki's meals never disappoint. RECOMMENDATION: Visit Mikki's Soul Food Cafe, you will not be disappointed!

This wasn't my first time at Mikki's, and definitely won't be my last! I stopped in for a to-go order and grabbed their Soul Food Bowl with that blueberry lemonade and let me tell you, it's everything comfort food dreams are made of. The bowl came packed with tender, flavorful beef tips that were melt in your mouth good. (PAUSE) The yams were sweet and buttery, the mac & cheese was creamy and cheesy, and the greens were seasoned to perfection smoky, savory, and soulful. The cornbread tied everything together with just the right amount of sweetness and fluff. Even though I ordered to-go, the service was just as warm and welcoming as if I were dining in. The staff is always friendly, fast, and clearly take pride in what they do. The vibe inside is full of good energy music playing, people smiling, and the smell of homemade food filling the air. Wasn't packed today either lol. Mikki's truly never misses. Whether it's your first visit or your fifteenth, the quality, flavors, and hospitality are always on point. Can't wait to come back again!

Mikki's Soulfood Cafe has been in Pearland for around 5 or 6 years and I just barely made it here. Mikki's started out in Houston and quickly became very popular. They then opened up this location in Pearland, and have another location opening up Midtown very soon. This location is located in a pretty large shopping strip with some pretty popular eateries, so at peak times, it gets pretty busy. I came with a couple of friends on a weekday and it was very chill and parking wasn't an issue. Walking in, they have a cafeteria style line off to one side, a decent sized dining area, a bar area, and a private dining room off to the other side. I imagine when they are busy, finding a seat could be challenging. Customer service was just ok. The employees were just going through the motions. We each ordered our own meals and I felt like the questions asked were not consistent. For example, they didn't ask what kind of bread I want, they just gave me cornbread. Next guy in line, they gave him options. Last guy in line didn't get bread at all. Not a huge deal breaker, but consistency is always nice. On to the food. Soul food is the name of the game here and they got it all. We didn't partake on this trip, but they got a full bar with all the drinks. Their happy hour looks pretty good and I would love to check that out sometime. It's cafeteria style serving here, so you walk to the line, pick what you want and make your way down to the cashier. Most things are on the line, but some items can be ordered and will be brought to the table. We started off with some fried pickles and Cajun boudin balls. The fried pickle serving was a little on the small side, but I was told they were good along with the boudin balls. My meal was too heavy so I skipped on those. Like mentioned before, they got it all here as far as soul food goes. They have everything from meatloaf, smothered chicken and pork chops, all the way to chitterlings. I went with fried chicken with two sides. You can get a third side for a small upcharge. For my sides I went with mac & cheese and collard greens. You can choose dark or white meat and I went with dark. For me, for the price, you get your money's worth because they don't skimp on the portions. My plate had some weight to it. It came with 3 pieces that were breaded and seasoned to perfection. It was already ready when I ordered it and I wasn't expecting it to be as crispy as it was either. Some of the better fried chicken I've had in awhile. The sides were really good too. Not the best mac I've ever had, but very tasty. The greens had a little bite to them and was a nice reprieve from the other rich food. My cornbread was delicious too. A little pat of butter would've made it just right, but it wasn't offered. I'm sure I could've asked for some. I washed it all down with some good ole red Kool-Aid. I haven't had it in years and it just brought me back to my childhood. They got a few other flavors as well. Our plan was to share some dessert, but we were stuffed. I will get some on my next visit. Overall, I'm ashamed at myself for waiting this long to try Mikki's out. I definitely want to make my way through their menu because all of it looks delicious. I will most definitely be back!

We were in the mood for some comfort food, and Mikki's didn't miss. Conveniently located in Pearland , very beautiful restaurant / bar . Friendly servers , online ordering options as well. Variety of Soul comforting food. Started off ordering the smothered chicken but when I saw her making a meatloaf plate I changed my option. Food was priced good and the plates were plentiful. Food was excellent , highly seasoned , fresh favorable vegetables 9.2 / 10 . My favorites that I definitely will get again collards and yams 10/10 !!!

    Fantastic Meatloaf n more !!!

I knew I eventually needed to try this chain, bc good soul food is simply good for the soul. I went here 3 times recently using drive-thru, bc it was so pleasing. I want to also say that I normally hate most meatloaf, but my gut told me to try it from here when I saw some pics online. It was a mom's style and resembled the ones Black Eyed Pea (mostly gone from here) and Cracker Barrel chains sell, which are the only two places I ever liked meatloaf from. Mikki's here made way for a 3rd place to love a good meatloaf recipe. I ordered a Meatloaf with 2 Sides including collard greens on both and mac cheese on the first visit and mashed potatoes on the second. Every single bite of these two meals was very delicious, moist, seasoned very well, tender and made with proper care. The meatloaf was nicely soft with a very beefy / meaty taste combined with plenty of tomato sauce, onion, bell pepper and balanced salt vibes all in one. You could taste each separately while they paired up well. The outer layer had a nice crust on the edges, while being contrasting in the middle. The mac cheese was certainly rich, creamy, dense and very tasty with a yellow cheddar or Velveeta profile. The mashed potatoes on the other were more neutral in taste, not garlicky or too greasy. They were thick, creamy and potatoey in taste with a mild, but great flavor. Collard greens are one of my 4 favorite veggies ever with mushrooms, celery and brussel sprouts. I had to get these and they were very leafy, very nicely spiced, a pinch sweet, bitter and earthy to a correct level with a refreshing wetness. They were a great compliment to the protein and carbs in both. I also ordered the Turkey Wings with 2 Sides including cornbread stuffing and collard greens. Also, very delicious meal. The turkey wings were very good and tender with a fatty brown gravy sauce to add more excitement. The collard greens I mentioned were obviously great again. The stuffing was a solid A to B+ for me, very good and different. With every meal order, those corn muffins given are so good like a sweet, homemade cake or dessert and completely the opposite of those atrocious ones they have at Kelley's places. Very welcoming, friendly, efficient service on each visit.

On my way to the hair salon and look what was in the parking lot. Not hungry right now but you never know. Stopped by to get a cool refreshing drink and what better way to wet my whiskers than a large koolaid. I chose the large tropical and I had to slow myself down because it was so delicious. We also had a chance to do a simple photoshoot look at this butterfly picture need this in my life and living room

I am Very unhappy with last night's delivery. I ordered the oxtail plate that comes with two sides. The sides I selected were red beans w/rice and collard greens. The restaurant sent the plate with the collard greens missing and no rice. If they were out of any of the side items, they made no effort to contact me to see if I wanted something else instead. That is poor service. You expect your patrons to pay in full for our meals right? So we would expect to receive our full meal for what we paid for. Just excluding sides that you don't have is unacceptable. If this didn't happen it would have been a very satisfying meal because I was pleased with the size and portion of the oxtail. But I had to make my own rice at home and didn't have a vegetable.

So we decided to go by Mickey's soul Sunday forgot it was Sunday and you know how church folks are. They must find food immediately upon exiting church they begin to graze. lol upon first arrival there was plenty of parking due to it being in the shopping center, so no worries about that. The line appeared to be long but once inside we realized it was moving quickly. When I first glanced at the menu. (posted clearly on a lighted sign right in front of the entrance) I was ready to turn around! The prices had increased a lot since my last visit. Fast-forward...DH decided to get the beef tips with two sides (cabbage, and yams) and a soul bowl for me. Yes the prices are high, but the same grace is the food is delicious and they give you plenty of it. One entrée with three sides was more than enough to feed both of us (and we ain't small). Don't forget to take a look at all the celeb pictures they have on their walls... We walk in the shoes of many cool entertainers. I will come again!

Anyone rating this less than 5 stars simply doesn't understand real good soul food. This is 5 star all day long. Ignore the low ratings. This place is top notch. Top notch hoes get the most not the lesser. Food: the smothered poke chops were so dam good! Very tender and simply amazing! The white rice with gravy was top notch as welll. The macaroni and cheese was so good too. Also the cornbread was amazing too! The customer service was great!! Everyone was very friendly. New Year's Day was really cool! Live music. They were packed but the line moved fast. Again this is an easy five star spot. Stop in and do yourself a favor.

This is real Louisiana style crawfish; not the Viet Cajun style which is heavily sauced on the outside. There is NO sauce on the outside and no flavor options; but the taste is delicious! Now I won't lie, I do prefer Viet Cajun style, but this was a great alternative. I found the prices to be pretty reasonable compared to other popular crawfish places in Pearland. They were out of shrimp so I couldn't try that, but the crawfish was well seasoned and juicy inside. I would have preferred more boil juice in my bag so I had some to dip in, but next time I know to tell them. Same thing with the mixed bag; I think there should have been some boil juice in the bag because it was kind of dry. But the corn was so sweet and that sausage!!!! Omg. I don't know what kind of sausage they use (tasted like deer maybe?) but it was soooooooooo good and HUGE for the price you pay. Now, be careful. The hours shown on Yelp aren't correct. I went on a Wednesday afternoon when Yelp said they opened at noon. Got there at 1pm to be turned away and told that they don't open until 2pm. No problem, I didn't mind waiting. Pulled over to the side of the road so I wasn't blocking their driveway, and at about 1:15, a truck pulled in. Shortly thereafter, another car pulled in. Around 1:20, I saw someone coming out to take their orders, so I pulled in behind them. After the first couple orders were put in, a manager came to my car to tell me that they could take my order, but it would be a little bit of a wait since they don't open until 2pm. I had no problem with this, but why didn't they say that when I first pulled in?! i was waiting first and they let two cars get ahead of me. Hmmmm... Anyway. Ended up getting my food around 1:35p, so it wasn't a terrible wait. I would come back and get the crawfish, the shrimp, and another mixed bag!

The owner was right there on the line working hard with his employees and the ingredients were real and fresh. It took me such a long time to visit this restaurant because the concepts are not something you see often, after the eating the food it's like a spin on cajun, american comfort soul food with a modern day finish. I don't even speak like this, but after this fantastic meal I couldn't help but to let yall know it's worth a try. The first item I tried was the blackened fish jambalaya & it was really good & looked like it came straight out the pan! however i'm used to bland food so the kick from the seasoning took me back some. I then tried their punch and it was so good words can't even explain. Again packed with flavor , sweet and has a tang from what seems to be lemon. Fresh pineapples and strawberries were in the drink as well, I can honestly say it's one of the best 3 drinks i've ever had. If they sold them by the gallon i'd purchase it just to keep in the house. I even added some water to it when it was almost gone and it still tasted good! It mellowed out some of the sweetness, but not the flavor. I also got the Da Justo Sampler and at first it seemed like a lot and kind of overwhelming, but let me tell you it was so amazing. First of all the grilled cheese was exceptional, the best grilled cheese i've ever had. The wings were sweet and spicy and I didn't even need ranch for them, I thought it would ruin the flavor! & I'm a person who eats ranch with everythingg. The mac & cheese is the perfect example of what mac and cheese should be, the fries were okay though, I wish they were crispier but even with that it didn't stop nothing! Everything is still a 10/10. I went back and tried the Jambalaya a little later & again another 10/10, i've never had Jambalaya before so the flavors were so crazy , but I still found myself not able to put the fork down! The portions are very big from those two meals I got i was able to share with 3 other people and we all had nice portions ( i was not sharing that punch tho!). if your sick of your typical generic food options and want something out the box and worth the price or just want a cheat meal that's worth it, Krack Kitchen is your spot!

It's inside a gas station which wasn't too busy for a Friday night. You order at grill, but when they give you the receipt you have to pay the gas station attendant. Make sure you go back to the grill to show you paid for your meal. Now I will say it took 25 minutes to get our food but it was HOT and FRESH. We got the jambalaya and 10 chicken wings. The wings were crispy and juicy with a lot of seasoning. Everything inside the Jambayla was delicious from the shrimp, to the fish, to the sausages, etc etc. just all super flavorful in general. There are 4 small tables each with 2 seats which I appreciated cause I usually prefer to eat the food fresh rather than eating it in the car/bringing it home. Would definitely come back to try other dishes; but keep in mind that the location of the gas station is kinda not ideal. You'll know what I mean when you drive there. It's hard getting there/getting out. And again food takes a long time, so if you're looking for quick fast food this place is not it, but it is delicious

I apreciated Honore's having a few games for the kids to keep them busy while the adults eat and chat. Maybe a little corner of the patio should be dedicated for them so theyre not in the middle of other patrons. Just a thought. Come early and order. Happy Hour before it ended literally had the line to order out to patio! There is a drive up pick up location on the east side of the building but how you order ahead? Didn't see anything on the website... I ordered the poboy with catfish and fries. When I picked up the to go plate, I just knew somebody's order had been combined with mine because the bag was heavy! Turns out they give Humongous portions at Honore's. Only thing: Although, I didnt ask for tartar sauce, no ketchup or cocktail sauce with my to go order. Still the poboy wad fresh and filled from end to end with catfish. Fries were hot and fresh in the take out box and not too salty, so I had to enjoy a few before leaving. Most definetly you have to order the coveted boudin balls. I got a small pack of both the original and pepper jack since they were on sale for Happy Hour. They didn't disapppoint. They were slightly bigger than a golf ball and the gooey pepper jack cheese was a great compliment to the crunchy exterior. Topped with Remoulade or Ranch and I got pretty full just off Boudin balls. The miss for me is the frozen drinks- especially the frozen Hurricane slushy. Tasted like medicine, but about an hour later I did feel a little kick from the drink. My friend agreed but tried the blue flavor and stated it was better than the hurricane. We enjoyed our little meet up at Honore's so much, we lost track of time. Four hours of girl chat and good food happens that way. Thanks Honore's for making our evening!

Located in the middle of Pearland, parking won't be a problem in the shopping center they share with several businesses. They even have a private room for large groups. I've sat both at the bar and at a table. No complaints. Service (4.5/5): Service has been consistently good for me throughout my three visits. I've had their fondue fries and shrimp scampi. A little oily and heavy, but flavorful. The lobster grilled cheese with lobster bisque is also delicious. Menu is vast, with lots of options including daily specials and happy hour. We've tried most on the menu and everything has been delicious. The one note maybe is that the boiled regular crawfish was heavy on the salt/ seasoning. Otherwise the combo favorite is easily the favorite option with fried battered catfish and shrimp along with perfectly seasoned fries. Each table has ketchup, hot sauce, and their own crawfish seasoning. The staff and service are incredible, always super friend, speedy, and knowledgeable. They have a small area outside for families with little kids to play in. Centered is a tetherball set up along with a small toddler play set and a life size connect 4. There is a bar area, outdoor and indoor seating. We've come when there is a live band playing. Overall, great spot. Highly recommend.

My daughter ended up singing two songs and had a blast. The food was unfortunately pretty bland and didn't live up to expectations. I ordered the crawfish tail platter and it came with a generous amount of fries, however the tails barely had any flavor, although they did have seasoning on the table as well as hot sauce. We were also accidentally charged for a kids' meal that was supposed to be free, but the staff corrected it promptly when we brought it to their attention. Tuesdays are family night and kids get a free kids meal when you purchase an adult meal but the drink is not included. Overall, we'd come back for the karaoke or during crawfish season, but not specifically for the food. The staff were nice but it's more of a serve yourself place so don't expect table service to be great. We did move out to the patio and it was shady and nicely decorated and DJ N8 put on a great karaoke night and he had some great interactions with the kids. Overall loved it but will try again next year.
