My family and I decided to check this place out for dinner with a friend on a Sunday evening around 5:30 pm. There is a parking lot with plenty of spots. It was pretty empty when we first arrived then more trickled in soon after. It was little darker than a regular restaurant with red neon lighting. We weren't greeted by anyone but easily noticed that we could order on our own. It is self seating and the area seemed cleaned. We sat at a booth for 5 of us. For the family, I ordered the bird wrap basket (mild spice level) with crinkle fries & cheese sauce on the side for myself. For the kids, I got a side of Mac n' cheese and ordered each a single tender with crinkle fries & cheese sauce on the side from the kids menu & fountain drink. My husband got a single slider burger basket with crinkle fries (medium spice level). I did think the kids meal was way too expensive for a single tender. They unfortunately only ate less than half of a tender. Both did not like the fruit punch which was unusual since they usually enjoy that elsewhere. They did like the fries but I noticed all the cheese I requested on the side were actually drizzled on top which didn't bother me much. However, I did have to ask for the Mac and cheese side which was forgotten and I had to ask for water cups twice which always makes me feel bad to feel like a constant bother. I did enjoy my wrap which tasted fresh and I didn't really need the side sauce for extra flavor. The Mac and cheese was really good and creamy. My husband liked the sandwich and the spice level was good and easily tolerable for him (someone who enjoys spicy food in general). We ended ordering a cookies and cream milkshake for the kids. They drank about 1/2. Overall, it was a good meal but I would prefer better and friendlier customer service. read more

I waited approximately 30 minutes for my order, which was already frustrating on its own. During that time, the cashier assumed my name was Christian without ever confirming it with me, which led to confusion from the start. While I was standing there waiting, I could clearly see my food sitting in the pickup window, yet it was not being addressed. Instead of checking orders or calling out names to ensure customers received their food, the employee seemed more focused on other tasks. The situation became even more frustrating when my order was given to the wrong customer. There appeared to be little organization or verification before handing out the food. Shortly after, that customer came back and informed the staff that the order was not theirs. Rather than remaking the order or correcting the mistake properly, the staff attempted to give me the same food that had already been opened and handled by someone else, which is completely unacceptable from both a service and health standpoint. Overall, the entire experience reflected a lack of attention to detail, poor communication, and inadequate customer service. Simple steps like confirming names, managing orders efficiently, and handling mistakes appropriately would have made a significant difference. I was super excited to hear about a new Main Bird opening! I went during their opening weekend and had a great experience. I got two of their hot chicken slider meals (2 sliders with crinkle fries per meal) and chose one comeback and one slaw slider for each of the meals. I got some of the sliders medium and some hot for the spice levels. I also got a dirty Mac with comeback sauce (waffle fries topped with Mac n cheese, chicken, and comeback sauce). Overall, the food was tasty but needed more sauce. The chicken had a good amount of seasoning and was very juicy, and the fries were fresh and crispy. The mac n cheese on the dirty mac was creamy and not too heavy. I also appreciated that the bread was toasted. The portion of fries was generous in the slider meals. I would have liked more comeback sauce on the sliders and dirty mac as the sliders did not have much sauce at all (even the comeback sliders had just a small drizzle of sauce), and $1.00 for extra sauce is pretty steep. I also think the slaw could have a bit more flavor but understand it was their opening weekend so maybe these are things they can tweak as they get settled. The employees who were walking around were friendly, and the food came out in a reasonable timeframe. The restaurant is very casual and had a fair amount of seating. My son ordered a cinnamon toast shake and his wings came out before the shake. Ok we waited and waited and waited shake never came so the guy at the front counter went in the back and grabbed a partially made shake and started making my sons. Let's just say the shake was watered down and nothing like the exact same shake that came out for another order. We brought it back in and the guy at the front counter claims he didn't make it, when literally we watched him make it. He literally started freaking out and brought the drink to the back and we watched them try the drink that my son had just drunk and said it was so nasty and tasted like chemicals. There were multiple employees laying down in booths, including the manager sitting with his feet up at one table. Very unprofessional and I cannot trust the quality of the food here. Had my order of the dirty fries delivered! Sauce was generous and delicious. Fried chicken was still crispy and fries were soaked in the sauce which was very good. Fries were crispy still as well! A special surprise was the Mac and cheese and while it is part of the description I think is was a bit too rich with the sauce already on it. read more

It comes with crinkle fries but coleslaw was a $1 up charge which for the price of the meal is a bit excessive. Crinkle fries were awesome. Chicken was ok. Good heat. Not as "crispy" as I anticipated. Tenders were good size. Toasted bread was standard and rather bland. All in all food delivered and the heat was almost more than I could handle and that was level 3 (out of 5). Atmosphere is strip mall regular and nothing special. Clean. Main Bird is my favorite hot chicken chain, so I was super excited when I found out one opened up in Pearland! Came in on a Tuesday at 1pm, and there were only 2 customers eating and 2 more in line in front of me. I ordered on the tablet kiosk, which was quick and work seamlessly. Waited for about 15 minutes for my food to come out. Since I ordered it for take-out, I ate about 30 min after getting my food. The food seemed fresh, and I am pretty sure my wait was because they were making fresh fries in the kitchen. In my past experiences, everything comes out fresh, hot, and crispy, and I am sure that would have been my experience had I eaten immediately. The chicken itself was tender, but there was some part that was slightly drier and the meat did not have too much flavor to it. This is in contrast to my previous Main Bird meals. Still tasty overall. The comeback sauce is pretty good - very similar to cane's sauce but with a stronger black pepper profile. I've had the hot honey before too, which is fantastic. Overall, a tasty meal that comes out fresh. I think for a fast food spot, the food should come out a bit faster, but I'll be back! read more

Exciting to have a new hot chicken place nearby and super convenient to us. This spot is order at the counter and get your name called out so it's very straightforward as well. Not sure if it's just because they're new but our order seemed to take a very long time to come out. In fact a few people behind us got their orders well before us. Chicken is cooked very well and the dirty Mac has a little something for everyone. Sliders are on the smaller side and I think the tenders are a better value. Prices feel a bit steeper for what you get but maybe that's just because this is hot chicken prices. read more

Mixed bag about my experience. Firstly, customer service itself is fine. No complaints there, albeit I place my order at the kiosk. I got myself the Hot Honey Sliders w/ Waffle Fries and a Cinnamon Toast Crunch Milkshake. I chose to omit the toppings on my shake but when I was up at the counter, the lady grabbed a pre-made shake from the fridge below, which includes the toppings. Is the toppings a big deal? No, it isn't. But I don't know how long ago that shake was made. It could've been made 5 minutes ago or even 30 minutes ago. Again, is that a big deal for me? No because the shake was delicious. It's just something to think about but not enough to constitute as an issue. Each slider contains one tender, which, funny enough, the fries (which were excellent) was hotter than the tenders itself. The buns were room temperature and I think I enjoyed the fries more than the sliders. I would only assume my meal was made out of order, fries being the last one cooked. Lastly, I got some ranch that were inadequately portioned. I pity the person that could've gotten the 1oz worth of ranch for a buck. Passed by this place over the weekend. First of all the tenders are good that's why I keep coming back... however, might stop coming back now. Placed an order through the website. A couple of times before I've arrived close to the time they tell me to come pick up but I always have to wait an additional 10-15 mins. This time I decided to take my time and got there maybe 5-10 mins afterwards. My food was surprisingly ready. Grabbed it and headed to the car. I checked to see if they had gotten my order right... turns out they didn't! They had given me someone else's order. I go back and tell the manager. He tells me he's going to personally make my order and so he does. After 10 mins he has my food ready. I go back to my car and check again. Realized he forgot the bread!! Every single time I come here, my food is cold and awful. I said I was never going to come again. Today, my mom asked me to get it for her and I did. Same thing. As soon as the order is handed to me, I open it and it's COLD. Not even lukewarm. My mother is upset and she takes it back and explains that this happens every time. Come to find out they confessed to handing us food that's been there since the employee clocked in... Now, the staff was really nice about it and made the order again and threw in a free side. While I appreciate that, I still don't want to come here again because this happens every single time. It is unacceptable to give OLD, cold food. I didn't even take it home. It was handed to me straight up cold. And the spice levels are wildly inconsistent. Second star only for being remedied because last time I asked them to remake it, it was still cold. I asked the guy at the counter and he explained to me it was Happy Hour price.... Well, wtf why did you tell me this before I ordered? This place is no frills. You come in order at the front desk or the kiosk. They call your name you get your food, the end. The issue is the food was not that great for the price. The sandwich i order had one flavored chicken tenders in between a bun. This wasn't a huge tender and this sandwich was 8$. I also had the friefries that had mac and cheese, and chicken. The chicken was good but the mac and cheese had a bitter after taste. The service was ok, not very friendly but they got te job done. Overall I probably will not go back but the sandwich was good. This place has replaced my Cane's obsession. The chicken is well-seasoned and moist. The fries are the same; only had 1 delivery order where they were sub-par compared to previous orders. The sauce is great and the Hot honey sliders are awesome. My daughter loves the Mac and cheese. After the gym (yeah don't judge me ) I decided to try them out. This location was doing a grand opening the upcoming weekend. The customer service was really good. The cashier sold the food well! The neon lights was kinda cool. The Cinnamon Toast Crunch was very tasty. It barely made the ride home. lol.. I was not a huge fan of the bird wrap. It was ok and maybe I should have chosen a higher heat level. The Dirty Mac was highly recommended. While I wasn't impressed with the components of the Dirty Mac, all three together was not bad at all. read more

I accidentally walked into this store thinking it was part of the food place next door and instead of politely redirecting me, the person at the front was extremely rude and condescending. He said something along the lines of "if you don't know how to read the sign..." -- which was completely uncalled for. Mistakes happen, and there's no reason to treat people that way. Based on that attitude alone, I wouldn't return or recommend this place to anyone. Basic courtesy goes a long way -- unfortunately, it's lacking here. read more
