One of my favorites! Found it on TikTok at the very beginning of crawfish season! A very broad but great menu, quick and easy ordering process and the ambiance is very lax. The crawfish are amazing, if you are looking for true Louisiana style crawfish this is your place! Also one of the cheapest in town with $7 a pound and 5 pounds for $28.50!! This is my first time being disappointed in Kray Cray Cajun House, I usually get the Kray Cray Platter and substitute stuffed shrimp or more regular shrimp for oysters. This time I ordered jumbo fried shrimp with a side of Fried Rice. There were 7 shrimp and they were incredibly tiny. The Fried Rice had no flavor. Soy sauce could not save it. The only thing that was decent about my meal was the grilled sausage that I got a la carte. read more

The boiled turkey necks and fried turkey wings almost taste like Cajun off Claiborne in New Orleans.

Yum yum yum! My coworker recommended this restaurant for seafood boil and it did not disappoint. It is a small spot right next to a small gas station on the side of the feeder road. You have to drive slowly not to miss it and have to do several loops to get back to it. We ordered a side of hush puppy (6 in an order), 1/2 lb shrimp with garlic butter sauce and 5 lb crawfish with a couple extra potatoes. I enjoyed it all! I like that their seasoning is in the water so that it penetrates inside the crawfish. Some people sprinkle seasoning on outside which is pointless because you don't eat the shell. Their boil only comes one way "Cajun style" so you don't have a choice on your spice level. It has a medium spice level to it, but I like spice! You can get garlic butter sauce to put on top of the crawfish if you like. That garlic butter sauce is chunky and divine! The part that I didn't like is that the corn and potatoes are boiled separately in plain water so it doesn't have any flavoring to it. We asked if they are able to put it in the boil with our crawfish and they said no. But I did sop up that yummy garlic butter sauce with it. read more

I decided to try this place after passing by a bunch of times. The place was a little dark because of the way the sun sets on that side of the building. I ordered the shrimp po-boy which was excellent. The fries were good as well. The only problem I have was with the customer service. When I walked in the man looked at me as if I wanted to stick the place up. So impersonal. They need to work on that. read more

Set in a gas station/truck stop, this restaurant sits unassumingly in the corner of the gas station plaza. It's affectionately known as Kray Cray but the sign on the door says Cajun House. When they are not busy, you can call in your order or order through drive-thru, but a sign on the drive-thru window instructed us to order inside. Walking into the store, I was surprised at how roomy it was - there is a seating area with an occupancy of maybe 20 persons. The menu items are majorly seafood and Cajun dishes (crawfish, shrimp, crab, étouffée, boudin), but there are sandwiches and non-seafood options as well (chicken, pork and pasta). We ordered the shrimp and crawfish étouffée, 1/2lb of shrimp, and chicken wings. The shrimp and crawfish étouffée were very well seasoned and tasty, though more soupy than I expected. The shrimp was tasty, could've been a bit more seasoned, but after I let them marinate in the sauce for a bit of time, they tasted better (pro-tip: let them shrimps marinate before you try them), the wings were pretty good. Our entire order came up to around $40, which was pretty cheap for the amount of food we got. I would visit again. read more

First time here and they did not disappoint! They have fresh live crawfish which was decent size. I ordered 8lbs of crawfish in medium heat. Flavor from the boil was bit spicy but it was so delicious and buttery. This is one of the best boil I have ever had besides the ones in New Orleans. I also ordered wings for my kids which came with a side. My kids wanted fried rice and it was a good choice! Wings were pretty big, juicy and full of flavor. The fried rice with shrimp was amazing and full of flavor. I highly recommended this place for your crawfish cravings. read more

After passing this business many times, I finally stopped in to give them a try. They offer Tilapia and Catfish. I will not consume Tilapia not a fan of Catfish or any farm raised seafood. I would like to see them offer Wild Whole Red Snapper and Red Fish to include offering them with all their fish orders. Also offered were Fries, Wings, Shrimp, Turkey necks, Crawfish and what ever I missed. I ordered Catfish with 6 shrimp + 1 more, boiled shrimp, turkey neck and 5 wings. Me being cheap I felt 40$ was expensive tho, wanted to get good feel for the place. It was all taken to go so the fries didn't travel well for the distance, The fish and shrimp very good, the turkey necks very good with good flavour, the wings sadly for me over cook and dry. I had them necked no sauce. Over all the food was good and I will return someday, I wish they were a bit cheaper and understand everything is up in price. I called this place several times with no answer before I got there on Saturday. I was hoping to order Crawfish and that is the reason why I was calling to place my order before getting there. I got there and proceeded to order. I told the owner/manager, that is always at the counter, that I wanted to order the 5lb Crawfish special. He said that they were sold out of Crawfish. I told him that is why I called multiple times so that I would not make a blank trip. (I live 25 minutes away from the place). He said that they were busy, nonchalantly. He had a blank face the whole time, no character, no sympathy. They may have been busy, but they weren't, when I got there. What is the point of being able to call in your order/check to see if they have Crawfish if no one answers the phone. This is not the first non pleasant experience that I have had with him either. I like to give businesses a chance thinking that situations can be one offs etc.. You have to have half way decent customer service if you are going to be the face that people come in contact with and/or speak with over the phone. He needs a better attitude! I won't continue to make a trip and spend my money at an establishment that doesn't care how they treat their customers. I did go on Post oak and was able to get Crawfish from Bayou Kitchen Crawfish Kings. I was warmly welcomed and the customer service was on point. read more

Pinch, peel, suck...review is based on being here a few times for the fresh boiled crawfish. The flavor is consistent with a good spicy kick the way we like it and the heads are always juicy. One day will try the other items on the menu but for now only crawfish cravings that needs satisfying. I was confused when I picked up my call in order due to the name on the building. However, it was the correct place. I'm from Louisiana so when the new year hits, Louisiana folks crave crawfish!! Mediocre... this is the best I can do for this review as it wasnt terrible. I came for the crawfish, turkey necks and wings... left with crawfish only. Now, it's crawfish season and I eat crawfish typically 3days a week until the season is over. Came in here for takeout cause the pix and reviews were decent. I ordered the 5lb special cause the price was good. Asked about the turkey necks and was told they were sold out (oh ok). But as I fixes my mouth to say wings, I saw that 5wings is $11.99. That's not the worst price but then there was a picture showing that these weren't whole wings, they were party wings! You mean u want me to pay $12 for 5 drums or 5 flats. Food 5/5 The garlic butter crawfish tasted great. Wasn't overly seasoned or had any dead crawfish like other places. I could actually enjoy a sizable portion without feeling spices weigh me down. Their snow crab was also amazing, very soft and flaky. Also, surprising enough, their wings were also on point. I've never eaten wings and crawfish together, but Im glad I did here! Location/Interior/Atmosphere 4/5 Honestly was very offputting becuase its next to a gas station, but the inside surprised me. Our family of 5 eats here at least once a week. Order through UberEats and go in and pick up the order. No dishes for the night. Our boys are 6 and under and they enjoy the food. The seasoning of the food is great and the prices are reasonable. I personally love the fried fish & shrimp. The food was well seasoned. The shrimp was delicious and had the back taken out. I just wish they had fried catfish even though the fried fish was talipia. The crawfish was boil like Louisiana.
