This is the best authentic Thai food in Murfreesboro. I've been several times and usually get the Pad Krapraw, and it's always delicious. Try their bubble tea smoothies too. Good food and inexpensive prices. I brought my friend here who was visiting from Bangkok and speaks Thai fluently. He was pleasantly surprised that the owners are Thai (unlike most other "Thai" places in Mboro) and he said that this some of the the best Thai he had eaten in the US. The only negatives I can think of are that the ambiance / furniture are not as fancy as other similar restaurants in the area, and one time we had a slow server who took their time. ABSOLUTELY THE WORST PLACE I HAVE EVER ENCOUNTERED. I was literally in shock at how awful a place could be run and still have any chance for survival. Me and my family went in on a Sunday afternoon for an early dinner. Walking in we were the only people in the entire place, yet not one of the employees or the 7 random children that were "helping out" had bothered to greet us. After a few minutes of being ignored we sat down at a table. Finally a 12 year old girl came over and took our drinks. We ordered the bubble teas, big mistake. They came out one at a time, every 15 minutes or so. Half of the drinks were forgotten, and when the appetizers came it took a few angry looks in the kitchen for anyone to come over and we still had to ask for plates and silverware. The kitchen could be see from where we were sitting, which disgusted me further. From grandmas to parents to little 7 year old kids, everyone was snacking down in the back and leaving crumbs all over, while preparing my food. I sat open mouthed just staring at this family with no regard for us as guests of their restaurant, that they thought it was ok, let alone sanitary to be doing that, right in front of us. I'm sure the things that happen in that back kitchen are not up to regulation codes... While the kids were man-handling their snacks and preparing our meal in the back. Still, not all the drinks had arrived. When the main meal came, A strange rubbery smelled filled the air. Every item we tasted had a bitter grease taste to the point that I had to send mine back. We came here as a birthday gift and it was a total disappointment. We just wanted to get the hell out of there. We had to request the bill several times and ran out of there as fast as we could. Not once being introduced or cared for by someone over the age of 12. Very unprofessional, Very unsanitary, Very disappointed. Will never be back and hope others will not grace them with their dollars. On a side note the TASTE OF THAI on Church Street exceeded my expectations with amazing service, friendliness, and food that catered to your needs. I love love love lovvvvee this place! I'm a student at MTSU and was craving some Thai food after classes before I had to go to work and this placed popped up so I decided to give this place a try. The atmosphere was pretty quite with the exception of college students eating together at a table but the interior was actually pretty with Thai/Lao art. It felt comfy to me. I ordered a Thai bubble tea and chicken pad kee mao. The bubble tea is the best here!! It has the perfect creamy, icy taste to it better than some places! The pad kee mao was sooo good. The best I have ever eaten as it had the right amount of chicken, veggies, noodles, and sauce. A little bit greasy but that's what makes it good. I also like their spice tray so that was a plus! I added the dry spice which is extremely hot and my mouth was on fiyaaaaa! I have been here a couple times and ordered to go. Pad Thai was pretty good but little to no veggies but this will do. This will be my go to Thai place as it is pretty affordable for both lunch and dinner and for their amazing bubble tea! :) read more

The food is good, but the staff is so rude. I often come here from 12pm to 3pm on Tuesday and Thursday. The female staff never smile. Ask customer with a bad attitude. This is not the first time she act like that. read more

2/11/2016 I happened to spot this little Thai restaurant while out. I turned around and ordered Pad Woonsen which was not on the menu but the owner was so gracious and made my meal. The flavor was fantastic and the service was exemplary. I have found my new favorite Thai restaurant. Take the time to find this hidden gem near MTSU and you will not be disappointed. Ehh.. Visited here just today and we got the sesame chicken with shrimp and noodles and this other item on the menu that was supposed to be "popular." I ordered a Thai bubble tea and got nothing near what a bubble tea should taste like. The waitress said they use actual Thai tea and not the powder, but my bubble yes tasted like a watered down icee and nothing near Thai tea. Before the food even came out there was a cockroach on the wall right next to us just crawling everywhere. So our food comes out and surprisingly my chicken smells like dog odor.. This was very unusual and I've never experienced anything like it. A few minutes later another cockroach comes out so I got the waitress's attention, who was only like 13, and she came over there with a napkin to kill it and it fell on the floor, I mean a supervisor could've at least came out to apologize or something. After this I had enough. I asked to speak to the manager and it took him like 5 min to even come out from back and when I told him I was dissatisfied with the food he told me you can't just try the food and not pay for it, I don't know who told you that. After mentioning that it's a HEALTH HAZARD to have cockroaches near or around food he said okay well if that makes you happy... Um, regardless to say I was very unhappy and I'm glad I didn't get food poisoning from the couple of bites I had. read more

Their interior decoration was so much better before the new owner took over. The positive side is this place is so close to MTSU and offers decent Thai food. Not the best in town definitely but yes decent to satisfy you. My all time favorite here is Thai curry fried rice. The fried rice comes at a price of $10 without tax. One can choose the level of spice on a scale of 1 to 5. The fried rice comes with your choice of meat, has veggies and tastes awesome with Thai flavors and spices distinct. The curry fried rice is kind of moist so even I (being a curry lover) never needed a side dish. I recommend this to fried rice lovers. However there is a change of ownership and I have not tried the curry fried rice after that. So one might want to experiment and experience how the new curry fried rice will be. Just a couple of days ago I went and had green curry. Believe me the first time I had green curry there it was horrible. But this time green curry improved and it's lot better. The broccoli and tofu in lunch and pad thai is also good. This is a decent Thai place especially for a quick lunch for MTSU students. read more

This is the most authentic, fresh, and tasty Thai food I have found in the Nashville area. I stopped by the restaurant by chance and have been a repeat customer ever since. Everything is made to order, (meaning you might have to wait for it to cook), but it is well worth the wait when they are busy. If time permits you will most likely have a conversation with the owners. They take great pride in making you happy. Pad Thai is one of their signature dishes, and after eating it all I can do is smile. I never thought I would ever eat tofu! My all time favorite has to be their Panang Curry. My mouth waters every time I think about it. What ever meat you choose, it is always tender. The vegetables are always freshly blanched and cooked to perfection. All their food can be ordered to your specifications, so if you want to leave out mushrooms, or add won-tons, they will accommodate you without hesitation. Really...I mean REALLY!!!! Worst ever.... I normally wouldn't have ventured out side of my favorite Thai restaurant ( Pad Thai Cafe). But unfortunately for me they where closed for a holiday. So being pregnant and craving Thai I googled local restaurants. Thai Spice had an appealing menu so seemed to be the best alternative. We called in with a pick up order that totaled 43.00 dollars for three adults and one child. After my husband had returned from picking up the food we soon discovered that they had left out the fried rice. This may not seem like an egregious error up for two of the three adult meals it was half of the entree. I called them to see how they wanted to handle the issue as we live on the other side of town. We where offered a refund (on just the rice which by the way comes with the meal but I was up changed 1.00 becaues it was fried)or they would see if a diver could drop it off. The young woman I had been dealing with spoke to her manager who agreed for a driver to drop it off. Thirty-five minutes later a received a call from the same young girl that informed me that she would be dropping off the fried rice since it was her fault. I asked since it had been almost an hour and my food was now cold if there would be any further concession. She informed me that it was still good microwaved. I informed her that I didn't pay 43.00 for take out that I have it heat up. She replied with " well we don't normally deliver out this far" I asked if they normally leave food off of orders. She replied with no and said I could talk to her manager Donna on monday. When she finally arrived 15:00 later ( an hour and a half so far) she informed my husband at the door that if I wanted any kind of refund that I would have to give back my now cold meal. It's 9:45 at night I haven't eaten and you (they) want me to give back my food. A meal that I might have enjoyed if half of it hadn't been left off. If I had eaten it without the rice a would have had a nice ( at least hot) bowl of stir fried vegetables and brown liquid. All in all even if the order hadn't been messed up the food was at best average. I ordered the ginger and mushroom stir fry with pork. The pork was chewy which means they use cheap cuts and the " liquid " the stir fry was in for being ginger lacked in flavor. The general chicken we received was heavily breaded and very very sweet. My husband crispy noodle was the equivalent to raw Ramon noodles and vegetable soup. I will be calling Donna Monday to see if this is how they treat customers and fix errors that they've made. They also offer little for the price. If your looking for great Thai go to Pad Thai Cafe in the Boro off of church. If you don't see a rescind to this review it will be safe to beat that it didn't go well. read more

i had seen cars at the place when other eateries were empty so we tried it and it was fabulous! the waitress was great and helped us by explaining all the options we had. food was great service good. we have already been back for a second trip and am sure it will be one of our regular eating places. read more
