Thai iced tea

We came here between lunch and dinner on a Sunday and were the only people eating in the restaurant. We got our food pretty fast and the service was okay. The Thai iced tea and pad Thai with shrimp were really good. Tiger cry beef was so incredibly salty and hard to eat. I guess it's just a hit or miss on what you get off the menu.

We were excited to try this restaurant, as there are a couple of them in the Lee's Summit area and they are well reviewed and rated on Yelp. Our server, Sammy, was amazing! She answered all of the questions of two first-time guests with ease and aplomb. She was incredibly helpful and pleasant. We started out with the Siam Rolls, which were just okay. Not much going on with them. The dipping sauce was amazing. I thought the rolls themselves were pretty bland and pedestrian, however, my wife thought they were the best thing that we had. She took them home and ate them two more times. I am glad she enjoyed them. I had the Thai Spice Noodle with pork, which was one of the house specialties and absolutely fantastic! 9/10, would order again. The pork was a little chewy and overcooked, but there was a ton of it. Great value. My wife got the Signature Fried Rice with shrimp, which was HUGE! She loved it! I also thought it was good. She ate the shrimp out of it, so she could eat it twice more at home, adding her own protein. Great deal. Since we were new to this place, we ordered everything mild and got the spice tray. That was perfect. I like things much spicier than my wife, but this way she can try my dish before I kick it up to be too hot for her. We love sharing. I thought the Thai Spice Noodle was considerably better than the fried rice. She liked hers better. Next time we'll probably do the Drunken Noodles and a green curry. This is a wonderful neighborhood restaurant.

Love having lunch here! Their hot and sour soup is soo delicious! Great start to a meal! I swear it has healing powers! The drunken noodles re one of my favorites! Flavorful and I love the servers always so nice and accommodating! I can't eat green peppers and they alway leave them out without any problems. This visit we sat in the extension It's so roomy and the sushi is in the space!

Everything is so fresh! Cocktails menu is definitely worth a glance. There are a lot of vegan options! Make sure to let your server know to not add fish or oyster sauce to the dish.

Okay I am very amazed at this place! There was a posting to give everybody heads up that this place is short staffed. So if you're going to be making a review please be mindful that they gave a heads up that their shortstaff. Anyway having said thay they're short staffed. I got my food really fast I would say 3 to 4 minutes tops for appetizer. And after that I got my main course. That was a smooth transition and that was really cool! It was pretty busy for being short staff and our server always filled our drinks and checked up on us. I browse through the menu and you cannot get bored of this! If you're reading this you got to try the soft spring rolls with this crunchy Honey dip sauce! (Appetizer) I ordered the golden chicken curry and rice mild spicy. I love it!!! I look forward to coming here again!

This place was relatively busy during dinner time on a Friday night. Nice ambiance inside. They must own two restaurants that are adjacent to each other. Left is a Thai restaurant and to the right is a Sushi restaurant. We were seated on the right where they had a sushi bar in the back. Extensive menu for both with authentic traditional Thai dishes on the menu. I ordered the Drunken Noodles and my friend ordered the Ga Pow Chicken. Price seem a little high compared to other Thai places but the food is very good. There are also some outdoor seating in the front.

What a pleasant surprise coming across such a fantastic authentic Thai restaurant while visiting friends in Kansas City. Thai Spice was recommended by my friends who gave me a bunch of options on where to go for lunch or dinner while I was in town. Honestly, I did not have high expectations since Thai restaurants are a dime a dozen in California and along the West Coast. Thai Spice is located in a small shopping strip and there was plenty of parking when we arrived. We didn't have any reservations but were promptly seated upon arrival. For our dining experience we chose the fresh tofu spring rolls as an appetizer which I found okay but not great. We also had the deep fried tofu (medium spicy) Red Curry entrée which imho was on par with a lot of my favorite Thai restaurants (if not better) and it didn't disappoint a bit. My only recommendation would be to add more bamboo shoots and some more fresh basil leaves. The best and most delicious dish was my friend's chili chicken which completely took me by surprise. Though she ordered mild, I found that her dish had a nicer kick to it than mine. The pineapples and the red bell peppers, yellow onion and a hint of garlic plus whole cashews mixed all well together with the lightly fried chicken and made it so delicious and flavorful. While neither dish was served with rice it should have been offered while ordering. 4.5 stars for reasonably priced food and friendly service! I'll be back Enjoy and Bon Appetit.

The food was delicious (crab and lobster spring rolls!) but the wait time for our meal was almost an hour.

Wasn't quite as spicy as some of those I had, but it was very good. Good for a quick Thai fix.

The Pho is incredibly good. I wish they served it at the Independence location, but they don't.

I treated my friend to lunch at Mint Sushi this week, and we had a MARVELOUS time!…read moreFrom the outside, Mint Sushi is a modest storefront business in a strip center. But step inside the door, and you've entered an Asian teahouse that's welcoming and cheery. The walls are painted a bright mint green, with paintings of herbs and an entire wall of customers' photos celebrating their birthdays. The place is open and airy and the tables are spaced well so that one is dining in a communal place but can still carry on a conversation in some privacy. Shelly and Lin-Lin were our servers, and they were AMAZING! Shelly greeted us and was a most hospitable hostess; when we asked for a table nearer the windows, she was happy to oblige. Both Shelly and Lin-Lin guided us through the menu, answering our questions and giving us thoughtful recommendations for food and drink choices. Our meals were EXQUISITE! My friend had the Chrisnana roll and I had the lunch special of two rolls with onion soup. Both were plated beautifully; we took photos because they were utterly charming! The Chrisnana roll was delicious; the banana was surprising but melded with the savory sushi flavors. My California roll was a perfect blend of crab, avocado and cucumber wrapped in perfectly-cooked rice. And my Sweet Potato roll was mouth-wateringly delectable! There was a crisp topping on the roll which perfectly complemented the sweet smoothness of the potato filling. Both meals were reasonably priced and served quickly. When my friend and I lingered to talk, both Shelly and Lin-Lin checked on us to ensure we had everything we needed, but we never felt rushed to leave. They were so friendly and genuinely happy to have us join them at the restaurant--it was such a warm and welcoming experience! We'll definitely be back, and we'll bring more friends! Thank you so much for a delightful time!

They did a fine job at that, I am out of town and I can only compare this to Mr. Sushi, and I would say that this place, while smaller, is better than Mr. Sushi, I would repeat. The server mistaken "green tea" for "cheese", hilariously enough.

Always delicious. Always clean…read more Always very welcoming. Great selection. No MSG All my family likes this place.

TLDR: 2 stars bc the food was ok, but still won't go back…read more I have ordered takeout and off the menu. I used to do the buffet, but got sick the last 2 times I tried it, so no more. This is one of the only places I can get honey sesame chicken though, so I continued to go here to order that from the menu. I hadn't been for quite a while due to a medical issue, and it turns out, I should have stayed away. From the moment I parked, it was a hot mess express. There were not enough handicapped spots for the # of businesses in the strip mall for starters, but that isn't really the restaurant's fault. On the plus side, they have redone the seating since I was last here and it was decently comfortable, but that's where the positive comments will end. The smell that hit me when I walked inside was horrendous, not a great start. I asked for a menu and the young women appeared VERY put out that I wanted to order from the menu; she kept saying "buffet" over and over, and I kept saying, "no, I need the menu please." I wanted to see if there was a combo for the honey sesame chicken. She finally brought over the menu and there was in fact a combo for the HSC, but all of the prices had been marked out with a sharpie. I pointed to the combo I wanted and asked how much and she gave me an odd look and raised her shoulders like she didn't understand me. I figure I was getting it anyway so I went ahead and ordered a coke and the HSC with fried rice; they have also always switched out the crab rangoon for an extra scoop of rice so I asked for that. The young lady took my order and left. A few minutes later, a young man brought me my drink and said. "no fried rice." I asked if he meant I could not sub it and he said "no fried rice, only white in combo." Me: "So let me get this straight, if I order the combo, I can't get fried rice?" Him: "no fried rice, only white rice. No 2 scoop." Me: "So I can't get rice instead of crab rangoon either?" Him: "no no no. No change, no fried rice." At this point I was super annoyed and just said fine, whatever. Just bring me the HSC for as cheap as you can. I'm hungry. The waitress came back with a gigantic plate, overflowing with HSC, and a teeny tiny little bowl of steamed rice, Not even enough for me to get full while sitting there in the restaurant, let alone enough to take home with the 2+ portions of HSC that were left over when I ran out of rice. You can't tell me it is less expensive to give a ridiculously large portion of chicken and minimal rice! I ate until I ran out of rice, never got a refill on my coke (they all ignored our table after dropping off the food), and left (still hungry) with 3/4 of the chicken in a take-out box, knowing I wouldn't eat it unless I bought rice to make. All of this, for the bargain price of almost $30, just for ONE PERSON! Never again.
